Guide Lane care home, ideally situated in the peaceful residential area of Audenshaw, just outside of Manchester, provides personalised residential and nursing care to older people.

The welcoming and purpose-built home has a beautiful tranquil garden, which is a popular place for residents to relax and watch the world go by. There is also a hair salon and minibus for trips out.

Guide Lane also boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

When I thought about the important things that matter to my mum and our family, we need her to be in a care home with staff who have compassion, that are trained and have knowledge with an understanding of an older person's needs and difficulties. Guide Lane Care Home is well led with staff who not
only tick all those boxes but take the time for a happy chat with my mum and put a smile on her face. Mum has just spent some time in hospital and needs time to recover from an operation and I know that if anywhere can help her to recover, then this is the place!

Mum has been here just over a year.
She was weak, frail and unhappy on admittance but due to the amazing care, empathy and dedication of all the staff she now looks better than ever. The chefs spent endless hours adapting a menu for her to improve her appetite which made her stronger and healthier.
It has been an extremely difficult and trying year due to Covid but Guide Lane has dealt with the situation amazingly, keeping the residents safe.

The manager and all her staff are devoted to the residents and running of the home. I would go so far as to say that this home is one of the best in the area if not the best. My mum and dad came here over a year ago. My sister chose the home because it had nursing facilities and residential as my dad
needed palliative care. My sister also liked the manager straight away. Dad sadly passed away, he was treated with respect and dignity. A year later and mum now resides here and calls it her home. Thank you all so much for making this happen. Especially during this dreadful time of Covid.

Guide Lane staff and management are fabulous. During a very difficult period, they are outstanding and provide professional care with dignity. Mum is well looked after and since living at Guide Lane has gained strength and weight. Food is amazing and a credit to the chefs. Thank you all.

All the staff have been consistently attentive, kind and thoughtful. Communication has been excellent, which has been much appreciated whilst Mum settles in and has allayed her confusion in a new environment. Liaison with her new GP practice has been invaluable. Meals are well presented, and a choice
is offered.
The team have been very responsive to changing needs, and it doesn't matter when we visit, Mum is up and enjoying the company, in the spacious lounge or dining area.

Best place for my mum. She has put on the weight she lost and looks happy so I am happy. The weight loss wasn’t in this nursing home, really happy with the service they provide. The staff are lovely and caring so that’s all we want for my mum.

I was so amazed at my Dad's change in doing things, eating well, always seems happy. Me and Dad cannot praise the staff at Guide Lane, nothing is too much trouble. That also includes family, they look after us as well. We have no worries at all. We know he is happy and well looked after.

The home provides an excellent standard of care. All the residents look clean and well cared for, the rooms (both private and communal) are clean and tidy, and the staff are all very friendly.

My grandma is very well looked after with her full care such as feeding, washing, lifting etc... Guide Lane Care Home is very well run and excellent and very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful and will answer any question that you need to know. When my grandma took poorly they contacted me straight
away to let me know. I do recommend to anyone out there who needs a nursing home. Excellent care.
