Amazing, friendly and caring staff. In the short time Dad was there, they welcomed him and us into their family and made us feel like we had always belonged. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for everything.

My mum was a resident for 5-years and died in Wyncourt on 19th April this year. Our experience of Wyncourt was first class; my mum received brilliant care and was always treated with the utmost respect.
I would recommend Wyncourt to anybody looking for a superb nursing home in the South Manchester
area.

Following a fall, a hospital stay and a period in intermediate care, my mum was unable to return home and I needed to find 24-hour care. After much searching, I heard about Wyncourt and thankfully they were able to offer Mum a room. Sadly Mum passed away after only a few weeks but I cannot praise the
staff and management of Wyncourt enough for the care they gave Mum. I would not hesitate to recommend Wyncourt and I thank them for all they did for my mum.

My dad was a resident at Wyncourt for nearly 5 years and was always treated with the most exceptional kindness and care. I cannot praise the management team and all the staff highly enough, they made my dad and myself feel like we were part of the Wyncourt family and I loved the friendly fun atmosphere
that was always part of my visits.
I would recommend Wyncourt Nursing Home to anyone looking for a homely, while professional, care home as I am absolutely certain they would be more than satisfied with the level of care and would feel extremely happy that their relative was in such good hands.
Thank you so much for everything you did for my dad, you gave me total peace of mind for 5 years.

Following a hospital admission, my Mum 94 years young, needed 24-hour nursing care. I had heard Wyncourt was the best nursing home in the area and when Mum moved there, I was not disappointed. Mum was welcomed into the Wyncourt family and her confidence grew from day one. Due to Mum's Alzheimer's, her
speech and communication skills were very limited, so Mum required all her needs anticipating. With skilled delivery of care (day and night), patience and understanding, Mum's confidence grew and within a short time Mum had started to smile again and Mum even started to communicate verbally. Wyncourt is exceptional and as an ex-nurse I am picky! Mum passed away very peacefully and I am forever grateful to the Wyncourt family for truly spoiling Mum (as she deserved), during her final months. Thank you.

I can recommend this nursing home. My mother received excellent nursing care from the staff. The food was excellent, in the difficult year the home tried to ensure as a family we could still feel connected to our mum. As soon as possible visits were facilitated via pods and outdoor screens or i Pads.

The staff from household to senior management have been fantastic to my wife and visitors alike; considerate, patient, friendly, caring, flexible and efficient. I am sure for every care home the most difficult problem has been dealing with Covid pandemic restrictions, testing and vaccine jabs and Wyncourt
have dealt with it admirably. We are a large close family with four adult siblings who have been unable to have meaningful contact with their mother for 14 months. Desperately sad for everyone, my wife suffered a significant stroke resulting in PEG tube feeding, long term catheter, LHS paralysis and stroke fatigue and very limited speech and understanding. She has relatively improved in peaking since visitors were permitted in mid-March. Visiting is absolutely critical.

My mum needed to move to a nursing home after the death of her husband of 63 years. I did a lot of research and Wyncourt came highly recommended from several sources including my own GP. From my very first visit, I was made extremely welcome as was Mum, when she went to see the room available which
was bright, homely and exceptionally clean, as are the whole premises. My mum lived happily at Wyncourt for 7 years until she passed away and there was no other place she wanted to be. She felt very safe and secure there, as part of the Wyncourt family and made some wonderful friends amongst the other residents and many staff. As the owner personally leads her team and expects them to provide exceptional care in all areas and we found this always to be the case, on the very rare occasion that I felt something might be improved upon the owners 'open door' policy meant things were responded to very quickly. Wyncourt is a very special place providing exceptional care but is also very homely.

We looked around several nursing homes for our mother and felt Wyncourt was welcoming, clean, had a nice atmosphere and it was our only choice. It did have a waiting list at the time but luckily, we managed to secure a place. Mum was in a beautiful room with french doors looking onto the charming garden.
We were always made welcome by the staff, when visiting and were always able to make ourselves a drink. On the whole, Mum's care was excellent, she loved the staff, and they loved her. I visited at all times of day and sometimes, Mum was having her tea in bed and was not properly positioned to reach it. This did seem to be down to one member of staff mainly. I felt too many of the staff had breaks together and were not always free to toilet Mum, as when she needed to go, it was very urgent. Activities for the residents on a day to day basis were not enough, they need much more during the day, however they had a lot of visiting entertainers in, who were always fabulous. Wine was always served at lunch.

Thanks for your review. Your Mum really did have a special relationship with all the staff. On the other points raised, we pride ourselves on our staffing levels all staff breaks are paid for so that the residents' needs come first. We aim to respond to any residents' call bells within 3 minutes, which on the whole is achieved and audited. In terms of residents positioning, we have a full-time physiotherapist and now all staff, including the nutritionist, are trained in moving and handling. I will pass on your thoughts to Chris and her activities team. I know she will personally be very disappointed to hear your comments.

Wyncourt is a very special nursing home. Their compassionate care, under the most difficult circumstances, is a credit to every one of the wonderful staff and management. The skill and care of the trained nurses to manage a complex health condition with kindness, calmness and reassurance was so valued
by all the family. Maintaining family contact within the conditions of the Covid pandemic was outstanding, there was the provision of outdoor visits and iPad chats were made fully available. We know how fortunate we are to have our loved one in your care during that time. Thank you so much to everyone at Wyncourt Nursing Home.

A real family feeling throughout the facility. Happy staff and happy residents. Looked after my mum in her fading weeks with real genuine care and attention. We are now looking to rest my wife's stepfather from his existing care home. The difference in the quality of overall care is staggering.

My mum lived here for eight and a half years until she passed away through a natural death.
We visited so many places and this stood out way above any others. The friendliness, approachability and my mum being the total focus of their attention. They welcomed the family in any time we wanted which
was all hours, initially. There was no place other than home where we would have left her. They engage all the time with the residents and know their individual needs inside and out. I cannot praise or promote this home enough. The team and environment are one-off.

Best Nursing Home in the area, very homely and welcoming. Staff are very attentive and treat my grandma with love and compassion.
The home is always clean and tidy and has no unpleasant smells, my Grandma says its like being in a 5 star hotel.

I'm Laura Duncalf, the Activities & Well-Being Manager at Wyncourt, and I've been part of this amazing community for over 14 incredible years. I've had my fair share of experiences in different nursing homes, but Wyncourt holds a special place in my heart – I couldn't imagine working anywhere else.


What sets Wyncourt apart for me is the strong sense of family values that permeate through the entire place. It genuinely feels like we're one big family, and that extends to our residents. To me, they're not just residents; they're my adopted grandparents. The care we provide is rooted in treating them with the utmost dignity and respect, and that's something you can feel in every aspect of our community.


As the Activities & Well-Being Manager, my role involves ensuring the day-to-day stimulation of our residents, whether it's through group activities or one-on-one interactions. I also get the privilege of planning exciting events like BBQs, Christmas Parties, and Fundraisers. Our residents enjoy trips out too – shopping, museums, garden centres, you name it. Laughter and smiles are just a part of our daily routine, and it's incredible to see the positive impact it has on everyone.


In my opinion, Wyncourt is the best around, and I'm proud to be a part of this family. The joy we bring to our residents' lives is what makes every day special.
