I was very reluctant to come into care, due to health problems no choice. When I came to the door very apprehensive about what I was facing. I was met at the door by staff which I thought was a lovely gesture. Everyone very nice, made me feel most welcome. After one week feel really at home.
Carrington Court is a breath of fresh air where care homes are concerned. All staff are very attentive, friendly and genuinely caring and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble. Everybody is smiling! My mum has been made to feel extremely welcome, and despite her complex needs, the quality of care is outstanding. This is a very organised, well-managed home and I can't find one fault. My mum/my family are very fortunate to have Mum stay in Carrington Court.
Very friendly, approachable staff.
Warm and welcoming.
I cannot praise Carrington Court highly enough for the care my mother is getting. Everyone is so friendly, passionate and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. There is an open door policy which is reassuring for families. We take young children to visit their great grandma and they are greeted just as friendly as what adults are.
Since admission, my mother has been treated with care, compassion and dignity. Although bed bound, she is always clean and well looked after. The management and all staff are caring, welcoming and approachable and nothing seems too much trouble. All the family are extremely satisfied that she is in such a good home.
He seems well looked after both medically and physically.
The nursing staff also seem to understand his medical problems and are working hard on preventing hospital visits.
Thank you.
The staff are always pleasant and helpful and do a fantastic job.
I am pleased my Mother is in this home as I feel she is safe and secure and well looked after.
We could visit at all hours and always made welcome.
The last day of dad's life, we all stayed the night and was treated with such care and nothing was too much trouble. So a massive thank you all.
To sum up if you need to make a difficult decision in difficult circumstances we would not hesitate to recommend Carrington Court.
I came here in March, everyone here has taken and given me the best care. Nothing is too much trouble and I am very happy and contented knowing that my family can relax because I am well-taken care of.
We find the care home very welcoming staff are always very happy to help with anything your relative needs. The rooms are small but adequate. The nursing staff are great and will always help to explain whats going on with medication and your relatives condition.
After visiting over a dozen in the Wigan area, we decided upon Carrington Court.
The manager and her staff are simply wonderful. Caring, jolly, positive, patient and unfailingly positive. The place is run like a jolly seaside hotel, the happiness and positivity of the staff is mirrored by the happiest collection of residents that you're ever likely to see in a nursing home.
The place is clean, wonderfully decorated with cheerful, tasteful decore, large ensute smart bedrooms and wonderful fresh menus. I really can't do this wonderful place justice in so few words, absolutely 5 star.
The care that my mother was given was excellent. All my mum's needs were met. The staff were all friendly and always had a smile or an acknowledgement when we visited or if they went into mum's room. We were always kept informed of mum's health. The dignity shown when mum passed away was excellent.
During my visits, I was impressed by the range of staff calling into her room for various checks and monitoring. Staff were always cheerful and helpful. Mum would relay to me information from staff, indicating they had spent time with her and chatted about their families and daily lives.
It was comforting for us to hear that staff had sat with her in her final hours as the family travelled to be with her. Everyone we dealt with on the day she passed away seemed genuinely saddened at her passing and were sensitive when dealing with Mum's grieving family. I have nothing but gratitude for the team at Carrington Court.
Having spent the weekend at this home, I can say what a lovely home and very kind caring staff. They could not do enough to ensure that we as a family were looked after, thank you.
I have spent the weekend with my Nan and I have to say how fantastic, supportive and helpful the staff were. Nothing was ever too much trouble, from day staff to night staff. We didn't want to leave Nan in case she passed away, all staff kept nipping into her room to see if we were ok. We much appreciated it.
The staff are so helpful and caring and respect the time you have with our family member. In the days coming to the end, they support all family members, as well as fantastic care for the resident. I would recommend anyone looking for the help in caring for a family member to come here.
The home itself was always very clean, tidy and very welcoming. Plenty of activities for residents, could not fault the home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home to look after their loved ones.
Very well looked after.
I cannot put into words how I feel about Carrington Court.
The service they give my mum is absolutely outstanding.
The staff have given me extra time with my mum that I thought I wouldn't have.
(Mum had given up before Carrington Court).
One of the activities staff is absolutely wonderful and the new manager is like a breath of fresh air.
I will be forever grateful.
Amazing manager.
Amazing team.
