Alt Park

It’s a hard decision making sure that you pick the right home, one which we found exceptionally distressing. However finding Alt Park was a blessing for us, ensuring our amazing mum is as much loved by the staff as she is by us.

From a personal view, it was a heartbreaking decision to make as a family to put mum into residential care after years of trying to cope at home. After 2 bad experiences in other homes, Alt Park was recommended to us and we haven’t looked back, mum is now happily settled.

Although the home needs a little updating they endeavour to keep the home as clean as possible. The bedrooms are basic but again they keep the rooms as clean as the can.

Once again to all the staff at Alt park a big thank you.

My father-in-law has been attending Alt Park on a regular basis for respite over the past two years, Alt Park was recommended to us by a neighbour after years of being disappointed with the care at previous nursing homes. I know when he attends Alt Park he is going to be well looked after by the staff which makes me less anxious and upset when leaving him.

My mom had dementia. Her care was mixed as when bank staff were on, the care was not as good. Overall, mom was well cared for and staff were most attentive towards her. All the staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The care manager is wonderful and only too ready to talk and explain. The staff are lovely and helpful.

Alt Park has been a Godsend to our family because they care for Mum as we would as a family. The quality of care has been outstanding in every aspect since Mum arrived three months ago. We cannot praise the manager enough for her empathy and professionalism. Her understanding of Mum's changing needs was crucial in Mum settling so quickly and us as a family making the adjustment too. Her team echo that ethos and quality of care treating residents with dignity and care and as individuals dealing with a diversity of complex needs.

We are always made to feel welcome and communication is superb so we feel up to date with every aspect of Mum's care. Her complex medical needs have been met to a superb standard as well. Mum is happy, healthy and enjoying life again. All thanks to the Alt Park team. We can't thank you enough.

Our relative went in for the final 6 weeks of his life. The whole staff team were fantastic in every way. Nothing was too much trouble and he was treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. We cannot thank all of them enough for making his final chapter as comfortable and peaceful as possible. We are so glad we made the decision for him to go there. Bless you all x

The home is lovely and clean. The staff are excellent and very friendly and look after my brother really well.

My father has been a resident for over 2 years and his care has been good and he is treated with dignity and respect. He appears happy and content.

After a rocky start coming here, Mum has settled really well. The home covers all of her needs. The staff are approachable and hands on. I believe she's happy and gets the best care possible.

The home is clean and tidy and the residents are very well looked after with regular activities for them to enjoy. They let the family know if there are any problems with her health or any minor injuries that occur. The staff are caring and take interest in the residents and their families. The rooms are basic but are always up to a high level of cleanliness.

My Aunty has been here just over a year, and it's the happiest she has been. She thinks she is in an all-inclusive hotel. Aunty was very very angry and upset when she arrives and we saw first hand how staff cared for her under an extreme situation. They settled her gently, whispering and stroking her until she relaxed and fell asleep. The care continues to the same standard and we fell at ease and without worry because of the high standard of care.
