Unfortunately, my mum was one of the residents in a care home which announced its closure back in September. Fortunately, we found Church View where my mum was transferred to and who were so wonderfully welcoming. Sadly my mum was already extremely ill when she arrived and passed away after a short
time, but I can honestly say that the manager was available to talk to in a very comfortable manner. The staff were just great and I felt they sincerely cared about my mum and her last days, making every accommodation for our family. My mum was very comfy and left us in a very dignified manner in her lovely room.
I will always be very grateful to the manager and her staff for helping us through an awful time in our lives.

My father has been at Church View for some time now, and I can not express how well he has come on in the past few months, especially during these hard times. I can not thank the new manager and the staff team for keeping my dad safe and clearly well looked after - communication has been brilliant with
the home and getting to see him in the visiting room / FaceTime and pictures has been brilliant. Thank you from the family, you are all amazing!

I visited Mum for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how she has settled in.
Staff were friendly, very helpful, and made our first experience of visiting Church View very reassuring.
Will hope to visit Mum again really soon.

In October 2020 we were notified by the care home my mum was in at the present time it was closing and had 90 days to find mum another home. We started ringing around, this process was very stressful as we could not go and visit the care homes due to covid. Reading previous and current review and recommendations,
we decided to go with Church View and haven’t looked back since. From the first time, we spoke to the manager and her staff, all they did was inspire us with confidence that we had picked the correct home for Mum. Their enthusiasm care and understanding of my mum's needs has been second to none. Since Mum has been in Church View, the care has been amazing, and I cannot speak highly enough about the manager and her staff. We have regular FaceTimes with Mum and visit, there's a pod where I can see Mum. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would not hesitate in recommending Church View.

To Everyone in Church View, All We can say is a Massive Thank You to You All for looking after our Lovely Aunty, Shes been in your care now for 14 years and is still very happy living there. The Manager and All the Staff are so passionate and loving towards everyone and nothing is too much trouble.
Their professional attitude and kindness shine through. At 96 years of age, our Aunty has been so well looked after, we can't thank the staff enough. The other day, my daughter and I visited Church View where they have put into place a visiting Bubble, it is very safe and clean and was absolutely amazing seeing our Aunty looking so well all down to the care and love the staff give to her, was lovely having a nice gab and seeing her happy. You are All Angels and We Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

Nothing we say will ever allow us to thank you all as much as you deserve. From the day our “pops” arrived from hospital, we could see exactly how he looked and just a few short weeks later, thanks to photos we saw a vast improvement and assured he was well and truly settled. Telling you all what
he likes and what he doesn’t and more importantly, you all listened! In the current COVID situation, this was a massive boost to our own inadequacies, simply due to us not being able to visit. From the extra ham he was given, to the opportunities to “see” him via FaceTime, this really made the difference to us all. Sadly, our pops has left us now and once again I write with tears in my eyes, thank you ever so much for being there for him - when we really could not be.
Reply from Alison Foreman, Head of Sales and Marketing at Church View Nursing & Residential HomeThank you very much for your review. The team work so hard to ensure that residents are well cared for, the current situation makes life far more complicated, but with kindness and consideration, the team always find a way to ensure being without family members is more bearable for our residents. Your thanks will do much to give the team a real 'boost' during these difficult times. Kind regards

Just like to say a huge thank you to the manager and all the amazing staff at Church View.
My father was a private and simple man we were unsure whether we had made the right decision to bring pops from Wales and back to Liverpool after 30years away.
Pops settled in Very well he put on weight and
looked much better even after a couple
Of weeks, he liked what he liked and probably told the staff this unfortunately due to covid restrictions and lockdown we were unable to celebrate by his birthday we took some cards and chocolate, the staff made a fuss of Pop's and bought him a cake and sang to him and sent us a video of the celebrations.
He would not have wanted the fuss but it was most appreciated by me and my siblings. Pops time had come and he went off to meet up again with our mum his wife.
The staff were with him all the away.
Thank you.

I notice that Church View will only show positive feedback. From the time my father caught Covid-19 in the home (the only place he could have caught it, fact) and was hospitalised until his funeral, the home made no contact with any of my family, showing little care and respect for my father who was
resident there for 7 years. I went to collect his belongings, where I was given Father's belongings by the front door by three carers, none were wearing a face covering, and none mentioned my father. A couldn't care less home.
Reply from Alison Foreman, Head of Sales and Marketing at Church View Nursing & Residential HomeWe pass our condolences to both you and your family, as we did when we were told of your father's passing by the primary contact for your family. However, I would contest your comments. Firstly, we are not in a position to only show 'positive feedback' on this site, or any other. Reviews are rejected only when they are proved to be non-compliant with their review policy. The decision to show reviews is not in our gift.
To put your mind at rest I would suggest that you request to see the communication between the home manager, the staff team and the person in your family who was the primary contact with the home. You will also see the respect the home had for your father and how they cared for him.
With regard to the lack of face masks worn by staff, I would comment that this would be highly unusual and should you wish to take issue with this please feel free to write to the home manager with full details, so that the Complaints process can be instigated.

Please do not make the same mistake we did and send your loved ones to this place. My grandad was here for 8 years and we had a lot of problems in that time (food concerns, lack of personal hygiene, insufficient and unsafe chair and wheelchair and clothes/toiletries/blankets vanishing to name a few)
but were hesitant to change homes due to his dementia. He has recently died of Covid, caught while in this home, and we have not had any messages of condolence or concern when he was sent to the hospital from here. Furthermore, I rang to inform them of our sad news and the manager would not speak to me so I ended up telling one of the staff to pass on the message, the reply I received was 'we know'. My grandad was a lovely man and deserved some respect, and so do we as his loving family.
Reply from Alison Foreman, Head of Sales and Marketing at Church View Nursing & Residential HomeWe do of course send our condolences to you and your family at this sad time and would never wish to detract from your own feelings, however, there are many points within your comments which we would contest. The family member who acted as the primary contact for your family has expressed thanks for the care of your Grandfather and our condolences were passed to her and your family when she advised us of your Grandfather's passing. At this time the home manager was on annual leave but as she had given her personal phone number, she was able to keep in contact. In fact, she was able to obtain information for the family when the ward became uncontactable. Please ask to see that communication as it will put your mind at ease on those points. We do have a Complaints process to express your concerns, should you wish to do so.
Lastly, we have the utmost respect for all of our residents, more so those residents who have been in our care for a long period of time.

My father-in-law was very poorly when he arrived at Church View. The staff showed nothing but care and compassion from the start. Staff including the manager even allowed us to have personal mobile numbers so that we could have regular FaceTime calls. My only regret is that we did not place him at Church
View sooner as the previous home was a very different experience. I and my family will be forever grateful.

My uncle is a resident in Church View and was transferred from the royal hospital over lock down. The manager and her staff have gone above and beyond for my uncle, myself and all of our family who have been on the phone a number of times each day. Nothing has been too much trouble and all of our questions
have been answered. I really don’t know what we would have done with out the manager's patience and kindness during this difficult time. With the government guidelines for covid we can’t visit my uncle and haven’t seen him in person for 5 months now but the manager and staff at Church View have been sending us pictures and also have been FaceTiming us so we can have a chat with our uncle. The manager and her staff are all amazing - they really are the best and we can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.

My Grandmother has been staying at Church View for a few months now, since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown. She's had temporary stays in other care homes in the past, which haven't always been great experiences for her. There are a lot of complicated issues at hand when it comes to keeping residents
in good spirits, and Church View has been doing an excellent job. My grandmother is always in good spirits when I speak with her, and always has nothing but praise for those taking care of her. The staff have been very helpful with communication during these times when I can not actively visit with her, and I am relieved that she is well taken care of.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks and appreciation to the manager and her wonderful staff, for the care and dedication they show in looking after my lovely dad.
The staff are very friendly, kind and approachable and are blessed with a fantastic sense of humour, which Dad loves!
Nothing

My mum has been a resident at Church View for nearly six years now and I have been very happy with the care she has received in that time. There are regular staff who know my mum well and treat her with care, kindness and humour. But I have been particularly touched by their response to the present
coronavirus situation. They locked down early to keep residents safe and, since that time, have been doing an amazing job. I have received updates and photographs/videos of mum that have been shared with relations around the globe. I cannot thank the manager and staff enough for keeping my mum safe and happy and for their communication throughout. Our family will be forever in your debt. (The only reason I have not given an Excellent rating for facilities is that they could do with a better lift).
