Hi, my name is John. I am the Home Manager of Kingswood Mount Care Home.
I have been a nurse since 2002 and have been a Home Manager since 2012.
What keeps me doing the role is a sense of family and community. I don’t see the nursing home just as a nursing home, I see it as a big house and at the core of the house is family. That family includes the team, the residents and the resident's families and loved ones treating each other with respect and dignity what a good family should do. It's a sense of belonging to the community that brings out the best in all of us and my home at Kingswood Mount Care Home feels like it very much belongs to the local community. A good manager involves everyone in decisions and choices that are made for the home, and I want all our families to also feel part of our big family.
Hello, my name is Clare. I am the Deputy Home Manager at Kingswood Mount Care Home.
I have worked in social care for over 20 years within dementia and residential settings across Liverpool. I joined Kingswood Mount Care Home as a Senior Care Assistant in 2015; in that time I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge within the management setting, I am also working towards completing my level 5 in leadership and management to further my skills within my role.
I take pride in working at Kingswood Mount Care Home and working alongside our incredible and talented team. I believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect and all our team members to promote person-centred care to our wonderful residents.
I feel I am a very approachable and positive person and will always be happy to stop what I am doing to talk to anyone of our residents/staff and families.
Hello, my name is Karen. I am the Activity Co-Ordinator at Kingswood Mount Care Home.
I joined Kingswood Mount Care Home in 2014 working as a Care Assistant on days/nights which I enjoyed very much. I was then given an opportunity to apply for the activity role here at Kingswood Mount Care Home, and I am so glad I did! I find this role very rewarding and fulfilling, as to see the enjoyment that our wonderful residents get when doing activities with them is amazing. I feel I make a huge difference in their daily life and I get to spend quality time with the residents either on a 1-1 basis delivering person-centred activities or within the group. We do a wide range of activities here at Kingswood Mount Care Home throughout the day and also have live entertainers in and our residents love to have a good knees-up and a dance!
