Moss View Care Home

This is a lovely home. I feel really at home here. The staff are so caring, nothing is too much trouble and the medication is always spot on.

I had a lovely visit with mum today. It was cold though but she was well wrapped up. I was glad to have a garden visit instead of Zoom.

Mum has been a resident at Moss View for nearly four years now. As a family (sister, brother and I) we couldn't ask for a better care facility. Staff see to all aspects of Mum's care. Physically, emotionally and mentally. Mum has vascular dementia, with a collection of complex health needs and is registered blind. All aspects of Mum's needs are delivered to a very high standard. All staff have a genuine interest in mum's well being. It brings great comfort to us as a family knowing that Mum is safe and being well looked after especially in these difficult times of COVID and not being able to visit her. I highly recommend Moss View.

I think this is one of the best care homes. The staff are friendly. A nice group of people. They do their best to help you.

The care given to my mother at this care home is excellent. The staff are excellent in the way they deal will all matters of care. The management team, nurses and staff all play their part as a team. They treat my mother with respect and care as a family we are so grateful for that.

My father was fast-tracked from hospital for palliative care and we could not have found a nicer, more caring place. From the moment we entered the home we felt it was more homely and spacious compared to other homes we visited. A word of advice, don't just go for the homes that show an excellent rating as others with slightly less good overall scores are also worth considering as they may have been marked down on a minor issue which has since improved, and Moss View is a great example of this. The staff were absolutely wonderful, the rooms were great, allowing us to take personal bits from home including Dad's own TV which he was used to. The food was also good. Initially, Dad perked up, so much so that the manager arranged for one of the staff to escort him to my wedding which was just incredible, and we are so grateful to the home for arranging this. Sadly Dad has now passed on but, boy, he had a very happy last few months thanks to Moss View.

My Mum has been here for a month or so and so far have shown extreme care and kindness to Mum. Regular pad changes and medication on time and very happy with Mum's room location.

Since the new manager, the home has undergone a refurbishment, the place is cleaner, tidier and the staff appear to be happier.

Moving mum into Moss View was a hard decision, but we knew we made the right decision during our first visit. There were plenty of activities taking place and staff were so kind and caring towards our family. Mum’s health has improved and she’s really happy here. From the administrator who is a lovely lady to the domestic staff. Everyone is so helpful we couldn’t have wished for a better home.

The carers are devoted to the needs of their residents, they are so kind and considerate. 22-months-ago the GP told us my aunt was so poorly, they didn't know if she'd pull through, due to the care she has received she is now the best she has been for years. It's lovely to see her so alert when we visit. All the staff work so hard, they are dedicated to the residents and their families, they are very supportive and helpful, all the staff are a credit to HC-one. A huge thank you to the new home manager who has improved the surroundings in the home in such a short period. New carpets and decoration, making Mossview into a lovely homely care home again. It just feels like one big happy family when you visit.

From the moment we walked in we were met with quiet, confident smiles from everyone. The staff and residents were calm and welcoming. The unit is perfect for my husband. There is enough space for him to roam and sit when he needs to. The room is ideal and looks on a safe secure garden which we can access easily. All the staff, care, housekeeping and admin know my husband and my relationship to him and care for us both extremely well.

Made to feel welcome from the start. It was a big decision for us to put Mum in a care home, but when we viewed, nothing was a problem. Everyone is lovely.

My sister and I visit Moss View regularly but we both live some distance away and cannot get to Liverpool as often as we would like. We depend on the staff at Moss View to look after Mum and keep her safe. They do this very well and we really appreciate it.

Our mother is now very (very) old and needs great care as she is unsteady on her feet. Also, her general condition varies on a day to day basis. The staff at Moss View give her really good support and seem to be very flexible in their approach; they allow days when Mum stays in bed and other days when they help her to enjoy the facilities in the lounge.

Visiting (and parking!) is easy and we are always welcomed by the staff. On occasion, we have been offered the use of one of the small, quiet, lounges to hold a little get-together. This makes for a pleasant and private time which makes a great change for Mum and gives us some "family" time which we all enjoy.

Thank you Moss View.

Not only do the staff look after my dad but they support and care in their approach to my mum who visits dad regularly as she is obviously under stress not having dad under our care anymore. But relationship with staff has made this situation easier. Thanks to the excellent activity team who offers such stimulating caring motivation to residents.

Staff approachable at all levels.

My father came to Moss View for the last few days of his life. He was treated with respect and kindness throughout his stay. The staff treated myself and my family very well and nothing was too difficult for them.
