Moss View care home, located in the the attractive, semi-rural town of Huyton, on the outskirts of Liverpool, offers personalised residential, nursing and residential dementia care to older people.

The purpose-built home offers a range of single and en-suite bedrooms, as well as a fantastic wellbeing and activities programme, which includes regular coffee mornings and gardening activities.

The professional care team at Moss View take the time to learn about each resident’s individual hobbies and interests, helping them to lead an active and fulfilling life. In addition to the range of activities available, the team also encourages residents to take an active role in the Huyton community, recognising the importance of social connection.

Moving mum into Moss View was a hard decision, but we knew we made the right decision during our first visit. There were plenty of activities taking place and staff were so kind and caring towards our family. Mum’s health has improved and she’s really happy here. From the administrator who is a lovely
lady to the domestic staff. Everyone is so helpful we couldn’t have wished for a better home.

If anyone should be considering a care home for a relative, please take time to visit Moss View Care Home. My aunt has been a resident at Moss View for 11 years. If it wasn't for the fantastic care she receives she would not be here. She is nearly 95.
The carers are devoted to the needs of their residents,
they are so kind and considerate. 22-months-ago the GP told us my aunt was so poorly, they didn't know if she'd pull through, due to the care she has received she is now the best she has been for years. It's lovely to see her so alert when we visit. All the staff work so hard, they are dedicated to the residents and their families, they are very supportive and helpful, all the staff are a credit to HC-one. A huge thank you to the new home manager who has improved the surroundings in the home in such a short period. New carpets and decoration, making Mossview into a lovely homely care home again. It just feels like one big happy family when you visit.

From the moment we walked in we were met with quiet, confident smiles from everyone. The staff and residents were calm and welcoming. The unit is perfect for my husband. There is enough space for him to roam and sit when he needs to. The room is ideal and looks on a safe secure garden which we can access
easily. All the staff, care, housekeeping and admin know my husband and my relationship to him and care for us both extremely well.

Made to feel welcome from the start. It was a big decision for us to put Mum in a care home, but when we viewed, nothing was a problem. Everyone is lovely.

My sister and I visit Moss View regularly but we both live some distance away and cannot get to Liverpool as often as we would like. We depend on the staff at Moss View to look after Mum and keep her safe. They do this very well and we really appreciate it.


Our mother is now very (very) old and needs

great care as she is unsteady on her feet. Also, her general condition varies on a day to day basis. The staff at Moss View give her really good support and seem to be very flexible in their approach; they allow days when Mum stays in bed and other days when they help her to enjoy the facilities in the lounge.


Visiting (and parking!) is easy and we are always welcomed by the staff. On occasion, we have been offered the use of one of the small, quiet, lounges to hold a little get-together. This makes for a pleasant and private time which makes a great change for Mum and gives us some "family" time which we all enjoy.

Our mum was a resident at Moss View for almost 2 years until she passed away on 28th December 2018. Throughout her stay, she received a very high standard of care and compassion from all members of staff, from all departments. Always treated with respect and dignity. Mum was fond of her carers and they
were always cheerful and attentive to her. We will never forget your support and kindness during those difficult weeks during and after her passing.

Not only do the staff look after my dad but they support and care in their approach to my mum who visits dad regularly as she is obviously under stress not having dad under our care anymore. But relationship with staff has made this situation easier. Thanks to the excellent activity team who offers
such stimulating caring motivation to residents.

My sister in law is in Moss View. She is treated very well and with kindness and respect.
The home is a bit tired re the decor, but improvements are being made, but the most important thing to me is that my loved one is happy, respected and well cared for, which she is 100%.

Although Moss View is not as plush as some care homes I've seen, the standard of care and compassion provided by the staff is second to none. My auntie grew very fond of her carers, as they did of her. Despite her old age and frailty being compounded by a very unpleasant cancer, she received the best
of care and attention and staff always found time to speak to me and other members of the family.
We are all very grateful for what they did for my auntie during her final two years.

The whole team at Moss View were fantastic throughout dads almost three years in their care. I couldn't have wished for a more focused, friendly and professional team. They did everything possible to make dads time with them enjoyable. Through the difficult time at the end of his life, they showed great
compassion to dad and also to all visitors and family members coming to see him. Many of the team were very upset when he finally passed away showing just how attached they had become.

Our dad was a resident at Moss View care home in the Dodd Unit from January 2016 to August 2018. Sadly he passed away on 16th August. I can't compliment the staff enough they are a fantastic caring team. I always felt such warmth within the unit and the staff work so hard in such a difficult job. Our
family can't thank them enough for looking after Dad and us in his final days.
Moss View, you should be very proud of all the staff. They are a credit to you and amazing selfless people.

I have only visited a few times but have always been impressed with the warm and welcome reception of visitors.
The large lounge feels lively and homely and the staff are constantly in attendance for residents.
There is a lightness of touch and humour that makes the atmosphere cheerful.

Excellent care for my loved one.
Since moving in, my mum has been afforded excellent care and support. She is always treated with dignity and staff do everything possible to ascertain her views and include her in decision making.
This support extends to the family too. Staff take time to get to know
mum as an individual and personalise her care to meet her needs. A caring, homely environment.

Moss View is a warm and welcoming home. They look after the residents as if they were a family member. The staff (care workers, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, office staff, nurses) are all approachable, friendly, caring and nothing is too much trouble any time of the day.
