Overall Experience

Very pleased with the care given to my mother over the 6 years of residency. She was treated with dignity and respect by all those working with her. Being physically dependent for all care needs it was imperative that we had confidence in the staff .

Patrick Murphy
Patrick MurphyJob Title:Rowan Garth Registered Site ManagerJoined: 2025

I’m Patrick, the Home Manager at Rowan Garth and a Registered Nurse with a career in healthcare spanning from the age of 18. I began as a Healthcare Assistant at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital before completing my nurse training at Liverpool John Moores University.

After qualifying, I gained experience across post-operative care, palliative care, Accident & Emergency, and elderly care. My passion for supporting older people led me into the private care sector in the North West, where I progressed from Clinical Lead Nurse to Registered Home Manager.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of leading a large, complex nursing home delivering dementia nursing, general nursing, an NHS step-down unit, and dementia residential care. During this time, the service achieved a “Good” rating in all key areas with the CQC and “Excellent” with the local authority.

I’m now proud to be supporting Rowan Garth, with a clear focus on delivering high-quality, person-centred care and achieving the same strong outcomes.

I look forward to welcoming you to Rowan Garth.

Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am the Deputy Manager of Rowan Garth. I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse, having qualified from Edge Hill University in 2013.

I began my career in the care sector working across a variety of nursing homes throughout Merseyside, gaining valuable experience in supporting people with a wide range of care needs. Over the years, I have developed a particular passion for frailty care and dementia nursing, and I am committed to ensuring that every resident receives compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

As Deputy Manager, I am dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued, and supported, while also empowering our team to deliver the highest standards of care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two daughters, and we love visiting Wales together whenever we can.
