Its not like the usual stuffy care home were everyone's left sitting in one room all day. This is the first care setting I've ever been In that has the happiest and most unflappable staff. Everything is greeted with a reassuring smile even if there very busy.
They are all incredibly proactive and nothing is to much trouble for them no matter what your asking.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, it is very much appreciated. Thank you.
Was apprehensive when I first started visiting but my fears where soon put to rest.
All the staff are so dedicated and so caring. I have a fabulous relationship with all staff. That includes the nurses who are so hard working and the office staff who keep things running. Im so grateful to everyone.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a kind review.
The care and support is just wonderful, as all staff are so supportive and very friendly. The management team is very understanding, caring and supportive too.Everyone who works there are friendly and polite.
It is like walking into a Reception area of a hotel, a very well kept home in good condtition. It is always clean and tidy and all residents are spotless in their appearance.A variation of nourishing meals served through the day, with snacks in between.
The lady I have supported since 2017, her family are happier she is in a safe and caring environment. Elderholme is a wonderful Nursing Home in the Wirral.
Thank you for your very kind and supportive review.
My husband moved here recently after a long stay in hospital. He has settled in very quickly and we have both been made to feel very welcome. It is a lovely home, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and extremely caring and professional staff. I am able to visit at any time and can rest easy knowing he is being well looked after and all his needs are being met.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind review.
I am Court of Protection Deputy, ( Health and Welfare) for a resident, who has complex care and sensory needs. This resident has lived at Elderholme for many years. I attend day and quite often, night, to provide support . I have always found the Manager and all staff to be friendly, understanding and caring. They treat residents and their visitors as family and are always available to assist us, if we have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind review.
My wife has MND and needs constant care, the staff at this care home are angels in human form. I know that she is safe and cared for by people who go above and beyond and I will always be grateful for their kindness and understanding. My wife has bonded with her carers and even though unable to speak due to her medical condition has had little trouble communicating her fears and feelings. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much for your review. I will pass on your kind words to the staff.
A really lovely care home with the resident's needs and interests foremost. All the staff are professional and the standard of care given to the residents is exceptional. I personally am more than happy with how my husband is looked after and I would recommend Elderholme to everyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.
Wonderful home, care is exemplary and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful care home and consider the staff more than just servicing my fathers needs but the whole family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I will ensure your kind regards are passed to all the team here.
Our mum has been in Elderholme since January 2023. We love everything about the place, the care they give to our mum is amazing. We honestly couldn’t thank them enough for how caring they are to her, from the cleaners to the kitchen, laundry, office, nurses, carers, every single person working there should be very very proud of themselves, they do an amazing job and we are so lucky we found Elderholme. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elderholme to anyone at all, we definitely found a place full of angels who give our mum the most amazing care and we are forever grateful to them all, they have become like family to us all.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We are always working very hard to deliver the best care possible and you are all like family to us as well.
The staff are all amazing, taking care of residents like they would their own family.
If you're looking for a care home, visit Elderholme to check for yourself. Just turn up and they'll happily show you around, which shows they've nothing to hide, what you see is how it is, not set up for visitors!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
My mum has been a resident at Elderholme for two years and I couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are marvelous and the home itself is always clean and well cared for. There are activities and events nearly every day, which makes for a very stimulating environment, especially for dementia sufferers.
From the minute my sister and I turned up (no appointment) to have a look around Elderholme, we knew straightaway it was the best place for our mum. The administrator showed us around and nothing was out of bounds. Staff were all very welcoming and residents were doing an activity. It was spotless! We were shown the different rooms available, all the beautiful grounds (all accessible for the residents and visitors) and even shown the laundry and kitchen! Our mum has been here since January and has settled in great. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the bonus is that the carers love and care for our mum as much as we do! Would highly recommend Elderholme if you are looking for someone to care for a relative like you would care for them yourself! All the staff from the laundry, kitchen, admin, nurses, carers and housekeeping go above and beyond for all the residents in their care!
My father-in-law passed away recently and was a resident of Elderholme. He always received excellent care, with the staff commenting on him being an easy patient with a jovial sense of humour. Elderholme has plenty of cheerful staff, always willing to help if asked. There is plenty of cleaning staff, and the place is clean and spotless. The staff are very professional, know their patients and are able to discuss any concerns, putting you at ease. At the end, he had a peaceful quiet passing with the staff in attendance. This reflects on the quality and compassion of the staff. Thank you all for your care.
All of the staff members I had interaction with could not have been nicer, towards me and other family members when I was present. They went above and beyond with the care they gave to my mother in her last few weeks. They answered all of my many, many questions right away as best they could. It was always clean and tidy and plenty of staff around if something needed doing. I cannot fault this care home at all. Much love and respect to all of the staff here.
My mum passed away recently, she was a resident of Elderholme. My mum always received excellent care, the staff are amazing. I always felt my mum was in a safe pair of hands. Elderholme has a lovely warm atmosphere, it's clean, spotless. The staff are what makes Elderholme great, kind, caring, professional, thoughtful, funny, approachable, they knew my mum inside out. They knew how she liked things, they made her feel special, loved and cared for. My mum had a comfy peaceful passing and all the staff made that possible.
We have had to make the very difficult decision to move Mum into care permanently following a fall in Sept 2020. She broke her shoulder and was transferred to a couple of different homes before moving to Elderholme. Although she likes to remain as independent as she can she isn’t able to care for herself safely at home. From the outset, the staff at Elderholme have been wonderful and Mum is constantly telling me how caring they all are. Any issues that do arise have been dealt with quickly even through the difficulties of Covid and I truly feel that Mum is being well and truly looked after. We haven’t been able to visit fully because of Covid but the general atmosphere in reception is friendly and relaxed and we now have peace of mind regarding her safety.
Thank God my husband has been moved. Rude staff, the receptionist so rude, the shift leader not accepting issues, basically calling my husband a liar. Not taking any responsibility for anything. Do not put your loved ones here.
Thank you for your comments. The concerns you raised were unsubstantiated. Social services have spoken with your husband who stated that he 'had never been so well cared for' and wanted to return to Elderholme. If you wish to discuss anything further, then please do give us a call. Thank you.
The carers treated my mum as one of their own and assisted her with whatever she needed during her stay.
She enjoyed the food and was offered plenty of drinks throughout the day. The nurses were always around to answer any questions or concerns I had.
I cannot fault the staff for anything.
Elderholme has given me the peace of mind that I have my nan in the best place possible, she has got stronger and stronger since she moved into the home. The care team are fantastic, the food is great with a wide variety every day, the activities are stimulating and engaging and they have something for everyone. The home has just been refurbished and is clean and just has a lovely feel throughout. Staff look happy, are caring and passionate about what they do.
My grandad was placed in Elderholme in a T2A bed. He was looked after very well. All of the staff I had contact with were very friendly and attentive to my grandad's needs. I myself am a nurse and I was surprised at just how competent some of the nursing staff were who looked after my grandad. There was a young male nurse in particular who as a family we would like to say a big thank you to. He was extremely knowledgable and always made my grandad laugh. My grandad's room was always kept very clean and the food provided was always very well presented. My grandad even commented saying that he’d never eaten such tasty food.
