The two weeks my dad spent here, were absolutely fantastic. It did both him and my mum the world of good. The staff were amazing with my dad, we couldn't have asked for more kind, caring people. They gave us such peace of mind. They made such a fuss of him while he was there. It was his birthday while
he was there, they gave him a birthday present, and took the time to open his cards and go through them with him. He's looking forward to his next visit.

My father moved into Mariners Park in the most stressful of circumstances during lockdown, straight from a hospital environment and not having seen his family for months. The staff at Mariners Park couldn’t have been more WONDERFUL. The care and kindness couldn’t have been better. They helped my Dad
settle in and kept in constant touch. They printed photos, ordered films and arranged events and set up weekly video calls and celebrations even whilst working under difficult circumstances and my Dad has nothing but praise for them. The facilities are lovely and modern and they keep in constant touch with updates. My Dad feels safe and cared for and we feel reassured.
Special mention to one member of staff who has gone above and beyond. Thank you.

Both parents went into the Mainers, initially for one months' respite after spending three months during lockdown with me. They are both in their eighties but have quite different care needs. It was extremely important that having been married for 62 years they remained together, despite their individual
differing needs. Mariners have done such a fantastic job. They both wish for it to become their forever home. Please note the only reason activities, rooms socred good is in the current context I can't comment.

I cannot recommend Mariners Park Care Home highly enough.
My mum is a resident at Mariners Park and the staff are wonderful with her. She can be very demanding, at times. My late father might have been Senior Captain but mum was definitely the Commodore. The staff always go the extra mile, smiling
and keeping her happy, no matter what.
The rooms and communal spaces are excellent and the views over the River Mersey are amazing.
There are lots of interesting activities which included a party with a live singer for V.E. day which given the chaos of COVID 19 was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by my mum. The carers are unbelievably attentive. The accommodation is clean and sweet-smelling and in beautiful surroundings.
During COVID 19, staff also set up Whatsapp for video calls so we could see mum during lockdown.
They continue to make things as safe as possible during these very difficult times.
If you are looking for a place for your loved one, you really should look at Mariners Park.

I would like to acknowledge the amazing work of the whole team in these extraordinarily difficult times. They have ensured that both Dad and I feel safe, secure and reassured.
They have continued to care for Dad with respect, consideration, kindness, thoughtfulness and professionalism. They have managed
this challenging situation effectively and professionally. They have communicated in an open and honest way that gave us confidence. They enabled Dad and I to stay in touch through the use of technology.
There is no doubt that the team know and treat Dad as an individual and respond to his needs as such. The ethos is to say yes and find a way to make things work.
If you are new, trust them, allow them the time they need to get to know you/your loved one and vice versa. They are a truly wonderful team of hero’s.

Mariner' Park Care Home has proved to be an absolute godsend for my mother. She had been fiercely independent but after several falls and a broken hip, it was clear that she could not cope at home, even with a high level of support. Mariners Park has provided the care she needs while understanding her
requirement for external stimulus (sometimes as simple as getting her out in the sun and fresh air) and has also been most welcoming to family visitors (when visits were allowed pre Covid-19 lockdown). When Mum tested positive for Coronavirus, Mariners Park took this in its stride. I am happy to say that Mum has recovered well and that after a supreme effort by the manager and staff the home is now clear of the virus. Mariners Park Care Home is somewhere I would go myself, if I had to, and I can't recommend it more highly.

I cannot praise all the staff at Mariners highly enough. My parents moved in late last year and have been very happy and settled and as an ex-nurse myself I know to some extent the challenges of their jobs but the staff are all excellent. The food is amazing, the home is very clean and the care staff
are always very professional. All the staff are very capable and friendly at the same time. During this current situation, they have been brilliant and quickly reacted to the challenges. My Father, unfortunately, passed away in April, not due to Covid 19, and the staff have been brilliant in helping the family communicate with my Mum. I cannot praise them highly enough, I cannot imagine how challenging it has been but they have certainly risen to and above the challenge.

I cannot recommend Mariners Park Care Home highly enough. My Dad and my Aunt are residents there. Wonderful staff who go the extra mile always, no matter what. The rooms and communal spaces are amazing. There are lots of interesting activities. The carers are unbelievably attentive. The residents are
immaculately clean, and in beautiful surroundings. Our family feel very lucky indeed that we managed to get my Dad and my Aunt into Mariners Park. Phew! All I can say is it's by far the best place we viewed in Liverpool and North Wirral. By far! During the disaster that is Covid 19, Mariners Park staff have more than risen to the crisis. They have made things as comfortable and safe as could possibly be done. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, you really should look at Mariners Park.

The quality of care at Mariners Park care home is excellent. Members of staff are committed to maintaining high standards while being warm, friendly and caring, both towards the residents and the families of the residents. I am confident that my mother is safe and is receiving high quality and respectful
care. Mum consistently remarks that she is very happy in the care home.

Mum has been at Mariners since Nov 2019. Since her admission, nothing has been too much trouble, any problems that arose were quickly sorted with a phone call.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, we were kept well informed throughout. The home was shut down to visitors. They did have an outbreak but it
was well contained and they were given the all-clear at the end of April.
We are very pleased with the home, keep up the good work.

I cannot underestimate how I feel that my Father is in the safest and most caring environment in this care home. Given the situation in the country, I feel that all the staff, many of whom we have known for many years, know and understand his needs and care deeply about his wellbeing. I am confident
that he is in a safe place thanks to the staff and the ethos of 'proactively undertaking work as part of a team'.

I have been prompted to write this review because I am incensed by the recent CQC recommendation of needing improvement and can only say that my experiences do not mirror that recommendation. I visit at varied times unannounced and have never found anything to give cause for concern.
My Father has
been a resident for almost 3 years and I have no hesitation in recommending. This place should be a beacon and example to all care homes and genuinely can't praise them enough for the standard of care my father has received and it would be no exaggeration in my belief that my father would be no longer alive had he not moved here.
He is 91 with dementia but I can still communicate with him and know when he isn't right. He feels like he is at home which is a major plus in his overall wellbeing. The staff are attentive and actually talk to him and not just treat him like an object they are forced to work with. This is my honest experience and have not been coerced to write this review.

My Mum has been a resident at the Mariners Park Care Home now for 3 years. She has no complaints about the standard of care that she receives and the family are satisfied that she is living in a caring and safe environment. Staff are very friendly and communicative over any issues concerning Mum's health
and welfare and any concerns that we raise are always promptly addressed.

Mariners Park Care Home is truly exceptional.
The Building is Beautifully located overlooking the River Mersey. The layout is ergonomically designed and the rooms are well appointed.
Mariners Park care home is spotlessly clean and constantly monitored. Food standards are high and meals are varied
and interesting.
But where Mariners really excels is in the amazing quality of its staff.
They Cared for my Uncle in the later stages of his life, he had advanced dementia.
The care they gave him was first class. They really cared and they gave him back his dignity.
I will be forever grateful to all at Mariners Park for being the true Angels that they are.

My mother who is in failing health has been a resident at the care home for over 2 years. During this time she has been treated with the greatest of care and dignity by the supportive staff and whilst it's not her own home, the staff have made every effort to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
From our family experiences, I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to others to support and care for their family members.

My uncle lived at Mariners Park Care Home for two and a half years. He had suffered a severe stroke and needed a high level of care. I don't believe he could have been in a better place. The care home itself was always spotlessly clean but more importantly, every member of staff was friendly, helpful
and caring. They treated him with dignity and affection and kept me up to date with his situation. They took the time to explain things and answer my questions. My family and I are very grateful to everyone there for everything they did for him.

Both parents have been residents since 2017 accommodated in an adjoining room! The staff are amazing treating them like their own family, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to meet any requests. Activities are varied and residents are always encouraged to join in from bingo to
organised outings. Thank you for all that you do and the support you have personally given me. Very much appreciated.
