My mother has been with Park House for over two years. In her time here, the staff have been extremely supportive and had my mother's health at the heart of what they do. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Have finally put pen to paper. At last I feel at peace, my sister is amongst the very understanding and caring people. She had a lonely life having learning difficulties combined with mood problems. She mixes with people which she desperately needs. The activity area is now really good and has gifted
me with her handmade cards. Nothing is a problem at Reception. My gratitude is overwhelming to you all.

I use to visit and help care for my mum on a twice-daily basis so as can be imagined this past year of lockdown and no visiting has been a very stressful and worrying time for me and my family as we are very close to mum. However, apart from that, on a personal level I have to say I am extremely thankful
to all staff at Park House and in particular, the team leaders, nurses and care assistants on mum's unit for looking after her so well and putting up with my many telephone calls and keeping me informed of any issues and updates. Mum has always looked well and cared for and happy at window visits which has reassured me immensely. I can't thank them enough and look forward to being able to visit again to be with my mum, who I have missed so much and see the staff again.

Park House staff have treated my mother with so much care its as if she is one of their own family. They all work so hard. Communication is good, if anything happens e.g. illness or accident they are on the phone right away. I have been there when they serve her meals and they always look delicious
and nutritious. Her room is always spotless. I can't thank them enough.

I visited a friend's partner as she was unable to do so. I had only been in Park House Care Home once before and the staff knew that I was deputising for the patient's partner. The staff knew I was visiting, the patient was looked after and was bathed, dressed and very comfortable when I arrived.
Everywhere
was very clean and I was made to feel very welcome. A lovely atmosphere.

A clean home with no smells, hard-working staff and well managed. However, the living areas are too bland. I would like to see a more 'homely' look introduced to evoke feelings of peace, calm and serenity with the use of calming colours and pictures. Maybe create a sensory room with soothing music or
sounds such as 'sound of the ocean' or the 'rainforest' along with subtle lighting such as fairy lights and lava lamps. Kitchen/dining are clean with food cling filmed in a clean fridge. Could benefit from a large, wall mounted, TV with a sound bar ensuring sight/sound to maximum benefit.

The staff are very kind and seem to all know the residents by name extremely well. The room was excellent and warm and bright. The laundry was done to a high standard. Overall an extremely well-run outfit.

The central unit has a nice relaxed atmosphere. It is very well staffed and all the staff/service user interaction that we witnessed were kind and respectful, staff seemed to have empathy and understanding of clients needs. They appeared well trained. Each time we visited the nurse in charge was visible
and happy to answer our questions. My father was there for assessment but it is definitely a place that we would recommend for long-term care should you or your relative require the specialised support that it offers.

My mother-in-law moved onto Bidston unit in November 2017 as her dementia was getting worse and she needed 24/7 care. The staff and management have been excellent with their service. My mother-in-law has now been moved to Hamilton unit for end of life care. Again the staff have been very caring. I would
highly recommend this care home. It is spotlessly clean at all times.

The management and staff on Bidston unit have all been fantastic looking after mum. They have been so caring and full of compassion. They go above and beyond to help her needs. Mum has now been moved to Hamilton unit for end of life care. Again, the staff have been very caring. I would highly recommend
this care home for anyone's family in their later life.

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2020

I have been a qualified nurse since 1987 and after NHS have managed care homes since 2012. I love the role as it brings me closer to residents and families and means we can deliver excellent care in a homely environment. I enjoy travelling and am brave enough now to travel alone, I love music, theatre and concerts. My daughter Laura is now following in my footsteps and is a qualified children's nurse in London! My dog Dixie, like a second child, keeps me busy!
