In addition to the state pension, most people qualify for Attendance Allowance (AA), a non-means tested benefit, paid at a rate up to £110.40/wk. We will be more than happy to request a claim form, handle your claim from start to finish or submit a review if you are in receipt of the lower rate AA.

Everyone is also entitled to be assessed for the element of their “nursing care” to be funded under the provisions of the NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC). Essentially, this means a further non-means-tested award could be made to you, amounting to £254.06 /wk, assuming you are deemed to require “nursing care” as against simply “personal or residential care”.

In the event of your needs being greater and your care more complex, then you may instead qualify for NHS Continuing Health Care (CHC), which in some cases will cover the entire fee. Both FNC and CHC are payable by Cheshire & Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB).
