When my aunt entered the Woodheath care home, she had been very close to death. They have looked after her well, and now she looks healthy and happy. Thanks to all concerned, they have done a fantastic job during a very difficult year.

Dear Susan, thank you so much for your lovely review. Your words are hugely appreciated and mean a lot to all of our staff. Take care, Ellie.

My mother moved into Apple House in Woodheath in Feb 2018 with moderate to severe dementia. She was initially a resident of Apple House and, in the last month of her life (Jan 2020), of the nursing unit, Cherry House. Throughout this time my mother was treated with the utmost professionalism, dignity and efficiency. The units were clean, cheerful and the residents were provided with a safe and stimulating environment. But, above and beyond the professionalism of the staff, there was an overwhelming sense of care, affection and even love for their charges. When my mother was coming to the end of her life staff from Apple House came across to see her in Cherry House and those who were not on duty came to her funeral, the second some had attended that week. This is not just a job to these very special people. My sister and I were so happy that we chose Woodheath to care for our mother in her final years, and we will be forever grateful to the wonderful staff at this very fine care home.

They are the most caring,...
They are the most caring, friendly, sensitive girls I have ever met. They treat their residents with the same sort of love that most people would give to their mums and dads. There is love, laughter and at times tears.
They are angels and I've booked my room.

I was very impressed by the happiness of the staff and the hygiene was remarkable. My wife became a resident and could not have had better attention. Sadly she passed away after a short stay. The concern and sympathy shown to me and my family were outstanding. Thanks to all, God bless.

Since January, periods in hospital and temporary care homes. Then we found Woodheath. The family cannot fault the care and friendliness of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. My Mum needs hoisting and even that is not a problem. Thank goodness for Woodheath. Gold stars all around.

As I am in India until the end of March this year, I decided to contact Woodheath for me to make a phone call to my Aunt to mark the occasion of her birthday. A director returned my email request with total due diligence for me to make my call at a specific time and this was duly arranged and conducted to perfection - so A BIG THANK YOU.
We have been to the home on several occasions since my aunt moved in and all I can say is she is very happy there - which says it all in my books.
Well done Woodheath and staff for your deserved consistent high score reviews.

This is a wonderful, lovely old house. Place you can certainly call home, very welcoming, clean and happy environment and very well run and all the staff are very hardworking and friendly.

I am a Registered Manager at Woodheath Care Home, where I have been leading since September 2024. Before this, I spent 4 years as a Nursing Home Manager, building on over 7 years of experience within the nursing home setting, where I originally started my journey as a nurse. My career in care has been shaped by steady progression, hands-on leadership, and a strong commitment to high standards.
During my time as a manager, I successfully maintained a “Good” rating in the last CQC inspection in my previous home.
My clinical background is diverse, spanning critical care wards, custody nursing, and several other frontline roles that have given me broad insight into patient needs and staff support. I first qualified as a nurse in 2007, driven by a lifelong passion for caring for others, and I remain proud of the journey that has brought me here.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy dog walking with my two spaniels, running, and travelling, which help me balance a rewarding but demanding career with personal wellbeing.
