Situated a stone’s throw away from Alderley Edge, Brookview welcomes those with nursing, residential and respite needs, and also offers early stages residential dementia, convalescence and palliative care.

Significant investment has made Brookview a luxury home, with luxurious fixtures and fittings including an ensuite in all bedrooms, stylish furniture and a brand new annex to the main building. There are day lounges on all floors and views of mature gardens, wooded areas and raised flower beds.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether your loved one already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in. Anyone is welcome to pop in and join in, whether you’re a friend, relative or loved one.

My mother has been in the care home for almost a year and receives excellent care and support. She has satisfactory meals and the opportunity to be involved with games or entertainment as she wishes. The staff and manager have been very helpful.

My stepdad lived in Brookview from August 2022 to September 2023 - during this time, he was cared for with the utmost respect and compassion. The incredible team at Brookview truly goes above and beyond in everything they do to ensure the most comfortable and loving experience for those staying at the
care home. From putting on entertainment shows and garden parties to jigsaws and meal times, care and attention are consistently provided to all in equal measure. Those with family members staying at Brookview can always rest assured and remain worry-free knowing the team at the care home is providing the best care possible whilst putting smiles on their faces. I highly recommend Brookview for the love and care they continuously gave my stepdad, as well as all of the other residents and their families and friends.

My stepdad lived at Brookview in Alderley Edge for over a year, after it became impossible for him to continue living at home. His brain tumour took away nearly all of his ability to communicate, his personality, and, essentially, his life. However, by all of the staff, he was treated with genuine and
complete respect; engaging humour that brought smiles and laughs from him; interactions and activities that brought stimulation and pleasure; and companionship and friendship from the staff and other residents that gave him the best final months we could have hoped for. The greatest resource Brookview has is its staff - there could be nothing going on, but the residents still have the best experience: being the centre of attention; fun arising spontaneously from nothing because the staff know each resident so well; and because of how much they care. Even when my stepdad (and other residents) can give nothing back due to their conditions, it does not affect their energy, care and dedication.

I am a resident here at Brookview care home, in Alderley Edge. I have being living here nearly two years and in that time I have received the most excellent care, with compassion and most humorous attention, the care and attention from everyone around me I cannot fault it, I would not wish to be anywhere
else but here. People come into Brookview for care, they would not get anywhere better than here truthfully. When I first came to Brookview I was not well, after a few weeks the staff built up my confidence and willing to carry on and made me feel as close to being at home as I can be, I have made so many friends. I am a 92-year-old and it is a privilege to grow older here, there are so many activities going on during the week that I have a choice to join in with, not to mention hairdressers and manicures.

We first started visiting our friend in the Summer of 2022, who was admitted for palliative care and lived until early Autumn 2023. We visited almost every week, during that time and never ceased to be amazed by the care, compassion and respect shown to him and ourselves by all the staff. It is such
a lovely place, with fun activities laid on for residents almost daily. We even took part in some of them, much to the amusement of our daughter, and attended a number of social events, e.g. the garden parties. During our visits, we befriended a number of other residents and all of them said how much they enjoy being there, and how wonderful the staff are. Following the passing of our friend, we continue to visit the friends we have made, again almost weekly. The fondness which everyone has for each other is a joy to see. To think that a 92 year old can develop a new zest for life because of their experience is amazing and truly wonderful.

Dad stayed at Brookview Care Home from June to October 2023
The staff were all caring, patient, polite, welcoming and friendly.
Dad's nursing and care needs were appropriately and promptly reassessed as his health and mobility deteriorated.
Dad was always clean and nicely dressed.
Dad was happy
at Brookview and enjoyed the rural view from his window.
The meals looked appetising and were well presented.
All the staff were very welcoming to relatives and friends and made us feel at home.
Dad died in his own room, beautifully cared for. We couldn't have hoped for a better end-of-life experience for him and the family.
We feel very grateful that Dad moved to Brookview and only wish he had decided to move there earlier.
Dad was also well supported by visits from his GP at Brookview and it was great that he could have podiatry appointments and his hair cut there.

I would personally advise people to only use this care home as a last resort. There is simply not enough space to put into words my feelings about Brookview following my mother's long stay there (since 2014) except that things began so well and seemed to deteriorate as time passed, particularly in the
last year of her life, by which time the possibility of moving my mother to a different home was out of the question (I was concerned that it would be too traumatic for her). I submitted a detailed review to the company in the earlier part of this year which outlined my concerns but have heard nothing from the care home since.

My room was very comfortable with a lovely view. The staff were very friendly and kind. I didn't need a great deal of care, but what I had was very good. My stay fulfilled what I needed after my operation. I didn't find the food very good as there was a lack of vegetables etc. The fruit salad was lovely.

My grandparents attended for respite between October and December 2022. The home were very attentive to our needs and accommodated the request of ensuring our grandparents could spend as much time together as possible, despite their varying needs. The stimulation provided through activities was very
welcome and certainly enjoyed by our grandparents and our family. The food was lovely and we as a family enjoyed this on a number of occasions. On the whole, the few issues we did have were addressed quickly and with sincerity and we felt confident that the care provided was excellent. The manager is lovely and nothing seemed too much trouble. We would certainly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to come back if the need arises.

My father was only a resident at Brookview for a short time, but the care he received was exceptional. All the staff cared for him with compassion, patience and were very respectful. We appreciated the care and attention given to us as a family during his stay and we were fully informed at every stage.

Nothing but kindness and courtesy at all times from the staff. A very well-run establishment. I certainly would feel safe and comfortable if I need to return. Not keen on processed bread (either brown or white). Suggestions to the manager - An accessible shaving mirror and one further grab rail/ towel
rail on the left side of room 44.

I have worked for Bupa for just under 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.


Caring for residents is my passion and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Brookview is a great place to live and work.


I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, sunny holidays and socialising with friends!

I moved from Ireland to England in 2011, where I previously worked in home care within the Ireland community. I enjoy working in care services as I love meeting residents, caring for them, getting to learn about their past and what they'd like to do in the future.


I live locally to the home, in Wilmslow, and have three children; 2 daughters and 1 son. I am a grandmother to 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. In my spare time I enjoy spending it with family, walking and socialising with friends.
