Brookview Care Home

I would personally advise people to only use this care home as a last resort. There is simply not enough space to put into words my feelings about Brookview following my mother's long stay there (since 2014) except that things began so well and seemed to deteriorate as time passed, particularly in the last year of her life, by which time the possibility of moving my mother to a different home was out of the question (I was concerned that it would be too traumatic for her). I submitted a detailed review to the company in the earlier part of this year which outlined my concerns but have heard nothing from the care home since.

Extremely caring and friendly, professional at all times, available when seeking guidance or advice. Looked after our mother in the last few weeks of her life with utmost care.

The staff and care received were wonderful. I was treated with kindness and dignity. Highly recommended.

My room was very comfortable with a lovely view. The staff were very friendly and kind. I didn't need a great deal of care, but what I had was very good. My stay fulfilled what I needed after my operation. I didn't find the food very good as there was a lack of vegetables etc. The fruit salad was lovely.

My grandparents attended for respite between October and December 2022. The home were very attentive to our needs and accommodated the request of ensuring our grandparents could spend as much time together as possible, despite their varying needs. The stimulation provided through activities was very welcome and certainly enjoyed by our grandparents and our family. The food was lovely and we as a family enjoyed this on a number of occasions. On the whole, the few issues we did have were addressed quickly and with sincerity and we felt confident that the care provided was excellent. The manager is lovely and nothing seemed too much trouble. We would certainly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to come back if the need arises.

If i ever have to come into care, i would put you on my first choice. The care i've had was friendly, cheerful and gentle. I have nothing wrong to say at all, only thank you very much.

My husband has been in residential care at Brookview, Alderley Edge. The experience we had was 100%, support, respect and kindness to my husband and family. The manager and four other staff members, in particular, I can't thank enough.

My father was only a resident at Brookview for a short time, but the care he received was exceptional. All the staff cared for him with compassion, patience and were very respectful. We appreciated the care and attention given to us as a family during his stay and we were fully informed at every stage. We would like to thank all the staff for everything they did in the last few days of my father's life.

Nothing but kindness and courtesy at all times from the staff. A very well-run establishment. I certainly would feel safe and comfortable if I need to return. Not keen on processed bread (either brown or white). Suggestions to the manager - An accessible shaving mirror and one further grab rail/ towel rail on the left side of room 44.

It's always been a very pleasant experience visiting the home. The staff are very courteous. The home is kept clean and the rooms are bright and as homely as is possible.

Amazing, friendly and very caring staff! Very clean and tidy room and communal area. Lots of updates on resident/ loved one and always available to talk to if needed! Excellent activities staff also.

Lovely, friendly care home. Grandma has found the staff so helpful. The activities involved are wonderful. Always met with smiles from the staff and dog friendly! (Our little dog loves being able to see her grandma!)

I can't speak highly enough about the care my wife has received during the three-plus years she has been in Brookview. She is 90, has dementia, and the staff have looked after her with kindness, respect and understanding. They understand what she likes, play the sort of music she enjoys and make great efforts to keep her interested and motivated. Communications are good, and any problems are quickly reported and discussed. She was kept safe during the pandemic, and it is good now to have unrestricted visiting again. I couldn't wish for my wife to have been in any better place for her care.

My laundry is done for me too! we have a lovely hairdresser. The lifting of Covid restrictions will mean our families can visit and the communal activities can start up again.

The staff of all grades were exceptional not just to my mother but also to me, my sisters and grandsons. We will never forget the kindness, respect, efficiency, sympathy and dignity shown to us all. We couldn't manage to care for our mother at home, she could not have been better cared for.

I have found the staff at Brookview to be excellent. My friend arrived three years ago, in a very distressed state, objecting strongly to her admission. The staff have managed her emotional state very well, to the extent that, although she would rather be 'free', she has described herself on one occasion as 'content' and appreciates the comfort and care supplied. I can't praise the staff enough and am very grateful to them.

Myself and my family feel that all of the staff at Brookview have been very polite, friendly, caring and are looking after my mum extremely well. We can't fault them. They always keep me informed if there are any changes with mum.

Better than I was expecting and the reason I decided to become a permanent resident.

I can’t thank Brookview Care Home enough for all of the exceptional care they provide for my Father. From the very first day, he arrived each and every one of the staff has gone above and beyond to make him and all our family feel so welcome. I have two young children that love visiting their Grandad and the staff have always interacted with them making each visit a comfortable and lovely one. I feel very lucky to have found a place at Brookview and I would highly recommend, they look after all the residents as if they were family.
