The activities I enjoy taking part in.
I have a lovely room to sleep in.
It is good value for money.
We very much appreciate your kind words and are very happy you are enjoying staying with us.
Many thanks.
Despite all the necessary Covid precautions, I was made extremely welcome by the staff. One lady was very patient with me, as I don't cope well with the Covid throat swabs. The home is in a beautiful setting; it is extremely homely and does not feel like an "institution"! The staff were warm/friendly. Room on the smaller side, but nice views.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again.
On a couple of occasions, statements that the staff made were not truthful, there was a general lack of care and much of the time my mother felt as though any concerns she had were being ignored.
Awful experience, my mother moved to a different home where the staff are more caring and listen to my mother and provide the care she needs and deserves. Do not use this care home.
Thank you for your honest review. We can only apologise for your mother’s experience and I want to personally assure you that this will be fully looked into. This is not the high standard our homes adhere to and I want to thank you for highlighting these issues.
Many thanks, Francesca
Everyone is very kind and looks after me wonderfully.
I like living here at Church House and the staff very much. They are very kind all of them.
My mother has recently passed away following 8-years of loving care at Church House. Thank you to everyone at Church House for all the love and support they have given to both mum and me.
I like living here. I am looked after well.
I am very happy here.
I have been here four and a half years.
All the staff are very caring.
The staff, from kitchen staff, housekeepers, nurses and carers, have been very supportive, always very friendly and have shown lots of kindness.
Mum had been in Church House for two years and has recently passed away. The care she received and the care and consideration our family received was outstanding - so thoughtful and willing to help us cope with the sadness and emotion of the situation. No detail was too small.
I feel the care of my mother is adequate. She is clean, warm and fed well.
The level of care is improving due to the new house manager. Not the most modern of facilities but great staff and very homely.
There are a lot of good things that are always going on, music, games etc. They care a lot about the residents that are in there and are very much on hand. I am very satisfied.
My mum has been a resident in Church House for over four years, she always tells me how happy she is and how well cared for she is. This is evident in her appearance and general demeanour. The activities coordinator ensures that she takes part in games, quizzes, singsongs and crafts. She is never bored. All the food is homemade and prepared to a high standard.
I am extremely happy with the care of my husband. The home is like a family. Everyone is thoughtful and helpful.
My father became a resident in March and came direct from hospital. He was losing weight, not orientated, not interacting. I am pleased to say he is responding and trying to communicate with staff, eating and interacting and has been out with staff for a day out I thought would never happen.
It is wonderful to see your dad improving slowly since he arrived with us.
There is a friendly, homely atmosphere at Church House. The staff are helpful and the residents are treated with patience, consideration and kindness. There is a good range of activities and the premises are clean and well kept.
Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to review Church House. It is a pleasure to be given the opportunity to care for your mum.
It is just like being at home.
Hello and thank you so much for your lovely kind words it is a pleasure to have you here as part of our family.
I have been here for several weeks and I am very satisfied.
Thank you so much for your review. It is a pleasure to be given the opportunity to help look after you and for you to join our wonderful extended family.
My friend has been a resident for several months and has settled well. He is encouraged to do as much as he can for himself, takes part in activities and makes choices for his meals. He relates well with the staff and other residents. Family and friends of residents are always made welcome.
Thank you very much for such a wonderful review. We all feel very privileged to care for all our residents (our extended family)
