Corbrook Park Nursing Home

My father passed away early February, the support, kindness and care he has had over the last ten months have been very good and they were excellent during the last few weeks of his life and nothing was too much trouble and the chef was brilliant to see to his needs. Also, the care and nurse's support for my dad and the support for me and my sister was excellent, they went out of their way to support us all and they treated my dad with dignity and respect when he passed. The care for my mum at Corbrook Park Care Home since he passed has been excellent and one member of staff has been a great support to her. The help from the manager, I really have appreciated as her door is always open and supported me as well during this time and continues to do so, as well as the nurses and rest of the team at Corbrook. There are too many to name that have been there for me and my mum over the last three weeks and cannot thank you enough during this difficult time.

My mother was transferred here from the hospital on the 1st of December 2022 for palliative care her stay was short-lived as she passed away on the 7th of December 2022 but during that short time, the care my mother received was the best care she had in the previous 16 weeks of being in the hospital even to putting her in clean pyjamas after her passing .. they treated her with dignity and respect.

My stay was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful. There was a good variety of food and also very healthy. If I needed any assistance it was available.

Staff have exhibited a 'caring' attitude and I have found them extremely helpful in getting my wife settled in her new home.

I have been here for two weeks and found the staff very accommodating. I have made friends very easily. I feel safe and secure and look forward to spending the rest of my days here. The food is of a very high standard.

The staff have had problems to deal with due to the Covid restrictions but they seem to have dealt with these problems very well to make the home a very pleasant place to be in.

The nursing care is excellent. You have spent a lot of money on Corbrook Park Care Home. It is a shame it did not include a decent 'phone system'. I have been told over two years this would happen. On numerous occasions, I have not been able to get a reply (usually after the receptionist goes home). My daughter came to visit her, pre-planned, and could not get in! When are you going to sort out the telephones?

Since Mum had her stroke, Corbrook Park has been her home. The manager and the team of nursing and care staff have gone above and beyond to make the difficult transition as smooth as can be hoped for. The staff have shown nothing but kindness, compassion and understanding, not to mention patience and knowledgeable nursing care. The building itself is beautiful sat in rolling countryside, but it is the care staff that make this place shine above.

I am extremely grateful to the staff at Corbrook Park Care Home for welcoming my dad into their comfortable home earlier this month. Everyone encountered has shown tremendous care, compassion and friendliness. The home is spotlessly clean and adheres to all the required Covid regulations. I sincerely recommend this wonderful nursing home.

I have been here for two weeks - I arrived quite exhausted from clearing out my house after thirty years of residency and have been thoroughly spoilt by the staff, all extremely helpful. The room is comfortable, the food is delicious and I have been made to feel very welcome.

Unfortunately due to my father's declining health, he only had a short stay at the home. Full of praise to all of the staff for their excellent care towards my dad and also to the wider family.

Fantastic, lots of stuff for residents to do. Very clean and tidy. New sofas and lovely rooms to sit in.

Excellent quality of care. Beautiful renovation, and much improved with the new manager.

Thanks for the arrangements made for our diamond wedding last year also our 61st 3 weeks ago.

My mum has been here since December, and I cannot thank the team enough for the outstanding care and dedication they have shown. The nurse has a lovely, caring and calming nature, always says the right things; you can see she truly cares about patients and relatives; 100% dedicated. Two other members of staff are a credit to the company.

Mum was reluctant to go into a care home at the age of 88 years but she could not manage at home even with carers. Mum has been at Colbrook Park for nearly 3 months and it has been a revelation. She loves the carers and has a lovely room with views over the countryside. We have not heard one criticism of Corbrook Park and often she breaks off a call as someone has come to speak to her. She has never mentioned her old home and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely home.

Corbrook Park is also set in beautiful grounds which brings a smile to all.

I will be happy to spend my waning years at this comfortable home with its caring, friendly and informed staff. The Edwardian extended mansion and its formal grounds with rural views stimulate the senses. Mostly ensuite single rooms ensure privacy and the lounges offer space for socialising. The experienced maintenance staff respond to staff and residents' requests promptly. Activities are well planned, appropriate and well-led. Covid-19 has stopped outside entertainers from visiting. Our PPE-clad visitors can walk or wheel us around the grounds. A local GP visits weekly and when needed. Our nurses administer medicines and treatments and supervise daily healthcare. Food is home-cooked, varied, satisfying, nourishing and plentiful. Residents are provided religious services.

My sister and I were at our wit's end when Mum fell and fractured her hip during the lockdown. Then, to be advised that Mum was medically fit to return home, we chose Corbrook Park as Mum's family farmed locally and Mum knows many of the residents. Thank you to the manager and his team for the staff's (too many to mention) kindness and support during a very difficult time.
