Redwalls Nursing Home is situated in the wonderful countryside of Sandiway, near to Northwich.

This Edwardian house has retained all the style of what was once a private residence.

The home has been tastefully furnished to a high standard to provide luxury and comfort for residents. It has a some wonderful areas for residents to sit and relax with family and friends, including a large lounge, a library and beautiful conservatory overlooking the front of the home.

There is a magnificent landscaped garden which provides wonderful outdoor space for residents and their families which, during the summer months provides a wonderful venue for many of the events and activities, including Garden Parties and Summer Fayre.

All the bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard, they are spacious and many offer en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring small items from home to make them feel more at home.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious and nutritious meals to stimulate even the most discerning appetites. Residents are encouraged to take time over their meal and socialise with other residents.

The health and well-being of residents is important and the home plans and organises an extensive programme of activities and events, taking into account any hobbies or interest residents may have, to help maintain the mental and physical well-being of residents. Families are always welcome to join in with activities and events

My husband is in Redwalls Care Home after spending one month in the hospital with heart failure. He is very comfortable and content and receives excellent care. On every visit, I am greeted by the staff with a smile and a lovely welcome. I know he is being well looked after.

The care and support my mother received helped her regain her independence following a serious fall closely followed by my father passing away. The staff went the extra mile on multiple occasions.

I have been delighted with the care and compassion that my mother has received at Redwalls. Staff are respectful of her dignity and are patient and thoughtful. There is a great range of activities offered to residents. My mum doesn't get involved in these as she is too unwell but I love the fact there
is this sort of provision in the home. We are always impressed with the courtesy and quiet professionalism of the staff.

Staff very attentive. Rooms are well equipped with air bed. The overall home is clean. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The surroundings of the home are well kept and the garden makes for a pleasant surrounding. The staffing levels appear to be more than adequate and the 24/7 nurse provides confidence
in knowing your relative is safe and cared for.

My mother was very happy in her bedroom and taken care of with dignity and respect. Staff were excellent and caring. Always clean and warm. She passed away last night. Thank you for the care she received.

My dad has been at Redwalls Care Home for two weeks now and he has settled in really well. This is due to all of the staff's care and professionalism in helping him settle in. It has been a stressful time with Dad's health but Redwalls have given our family some comfort in that he is being cared for

We have been so impressed by the care package we have received so far. As my neighbour had been in a very poor care home prior to this I can honestly say we have been blown away by the love, nothing is too much trouble approach my neighbour has received. The home itself is stunning and her room is incredible.
All the staff have gone out of their way to support her to ensure all her care needs are met with love and dignity.

My Dad was often left in his night clothes when we visited. He wasn't even shaven. The home claims to be an elderly specialist, yet the gardens aren't sealed. My Dad had dementia and was housed upstairs and could not navigate the tight corridors. The staff were okay, but the management was unsympathetic
and unworkable.
The room was expensive for what it was in my view.

Although we are not a specialist dementia care setting, staff have received, and are in the process of obtaining additional dementia training.
Each prospective resident is assessed prior to admission to ensure that we are able to meet their needs. Appropriate steps are taken should their needs change during their stay at Redwalls.
Please be assured that management within the home has changed following your father's admission and an open-door policy is now in operation. We have a complete transparent complaints procedure that is maintained.

My mum is currently a resident and we are very happy with the care she's getting. The staff are all friendly, thoughtful and patient with her. There are always things for residents to do and we can see what's going on easily through Facebook. If we have any questions the staff are more than happy to
talk and sort the slightest thing out. Would very much recommend it.

Both my mum and, more recently, my dad lived in Redwalls, sadly only for less than a year each. The staff were great and gave fantastic care to them, so living far away, it has been important to have such confidence that they were well looked after. Mum and Dad enjoyed the many activities that were
organised for them and on every visit, talking to the staff, it was so clear that they knew my parents really well and were sincere in their care, even with the extra challenges of Covid restrictions. I'd strongly recommend Redwalls.

My mother-in-law who was nearly 102 went into Redwalls nursing home as we were unable to give the care she needed. It is an absolutely lovely place, spotlessly clean and in good decorative order. We helped my mother move to Redwalls a couple of months ago after losing my father, who was her main carer. Mum couldn’t manage living on her own but has now settled into Redwalls and the activity staff have helped her to make new friends, which has really benefitted her mentally. She always tells us
that the food is really nice and the staff have been very responsive to any requests we have made to help her settle. The building itself is uplifting and pleasant and the smaller size of the home, we think, helps people get to know each other. We were very impressed with how long many of the staff have worked at Redwalls and it’s much better having consistent staff like this for Mum, who get to know her and her particular needs. They are great at finding things too, that she has misplaced, such as her hearing aids and tv remote. Regular activities are organised and this is really good for Mum and we have been able to visit regularly, within the Covid restrictions.

I have found all the staff at Redwalls, whatever their role, are caring and professional. I have been confident in the care my mum has been receiving throughout the pandemic and grateful to the staff for being there for her when we couldn’t. Now I am able to visit face to face again, it is evident she
has been well looked after and she is comfortable. The relationships she has developed with the staff, that I have observed, are very positive. I am pleased that she is being encouraged to take part in activities and that she clearly is having good times, despite ill health.

My mother moved to Redwalls Nursing Home last October. She has settled in nicely meeting so many new people and staff. The home is always changing with the government guidelines to make sure that residents are safe and put in place so more family members can visit their loved ones. Looking forward to
being able to take my mother out on a walk soon. Activity coordinators and staff go the extra mile by bringing in their four-legged friends to visit as often as they can. Pets are very good therapy for everyone.

Patrick has extensive knowledge and experience having worked in the sector for the last 37 years. He has managed a number of care homes throughout his career as well as having worked strategically, at a regional level, supporting a number of different homes.


Patrick is passionate about providing high-quality care for the people living at Redwalls and is committed to delivering truly person-centred care. He believes that people living in a care home should be able to live life to the fullest, taking part in a wide range of meaningful and stimulating activities, socialising and making new friends as well as enjoying new interests.


In his spare time, Patrick enjoys reading and holidaying in the Lake District where he can spend time with family and enjoy the great outdoors with lots of long walks and fresh air.

Hi, I’m Becky, the new Deputy Manager at Redwalls. I am an NMC-registered nurse with extensive experience in both clinical nursing and care home management. Most recently, I worked as a CQC-registered Manager and Matron at a nursing home, where I led with a strong focus on compassionate, high-quality care. Over the years, I’ve developed a particular passion for palliative and end-of-life care—a field I’m deeply proud to be involved in. My background combines hands-on clinical expertise with leadership, and I’m committed to ensuring residents receive the dignity, respect, and comfort they deserve. I’m excited to be working alongside Patrick, the Home Manager, and the dedicated team here at Redwalls. Together, I look forward to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Job Title: Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

My Name Is Sara, and I am an activities co-ordinator at Redwalls Nursing Home. Prior to Joining Redwalls, I was a teaching assistant for many years. Since becoming part of the Redwalls Nursing Home family, I have learned that a rich and varied activities programme improves both the mental and physical well-being of all our residents. I feel the team and I are caring, compassionate and enthusiastic.


During my spare time from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I enjoy long walks and cycling, bringing my dog Poppy along for the ride.

Sharon

Sharon Johnson

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2017

Sharon joined Redwalls in 2017 as Head Chef. Before Redwalls, she was the General manager of restaurants in Florida and Washington, DC. During that time, she catered for both President Obama and President Biden.


She holds a Level 3 in Food and Hygiene, and the home maintains a 5 Star Hygiene Level. Sharon has experience with creating HCCAP plans and dealing with food allergies. Sharon and the catering team use fresh, locally sourced produce, and believe in providing choices for our residents. Sharon personally gets to know all our residents' likes and dislikes and loves to see residents enjoying their mealtime experience.


Sharon says,” There is nothing better for a chef than to see big smiles at mealtimes. Knowing that all your hard work and effort into preparing a great meal speaks volumes. Sharon also assists the Activities team with theme days and baking sessions with the residents.
