Redwalls Nursing Home

The room was expensive for what it was in my view.

We have found Redwalls to be warm, friendly, caring and efficient - this is the second member of our family to reside here.

Very nice staff went out of their way in difficult times ie covid.

Visitors are always made welcome. The care is excellent. The staff are dedicated to looking after the residents nothing is too much trouble. this is probably the best nursery in the area.

My mum is currently a resident and we are very happy with the care she's getting. The staff are all friendly, thoughtful and patient with her. There are always things for residents to do and we can see what's going on easily through Facebook. If we have any questions the staff are more than happy to talk and sort the slightest thing out. Would very much recommend it.

Both my mum and, more recently, my dad lived in Redwalls, sadly only for less than a year each. The staff were great and gave fantastic care to them, so living far away, it has been important to have such confidence that they were well looked after. Mum and Dad enjoyed the many activities that were organised for them and on every visit, talking to the staff, it was so clear that they knew my parents really well and were sincere in their care, even with the extra challenges of Covid restrictions. I'd strongly recommend Redwalls.

My mother-in-law who was nearly 102 went into Redwalls nursing home as we were unable to give the care she needed. It is an absolutely lovely place, spotlessly clean and in good decorative order. But what impressed me and her son was how lovely the staff were. Incredibly caring and gentle. The whole place has a wonderful vibe about it. I would just like to thank the staff. Thank you

The love and care my stepfather receives is amazing. He is really looked after and cared for. The staff are committed and really care about their residents. The environment is welcoming, bright and clean. I would highly recommend Redwalls.

We helped my mother move to Redwalls a couple of months ago after losing my father, who was her main carer. Mum couldn’t manage living on her own but has now settled into Redwalls and the activity staff have helped her to make new friends, which has really benefitted her mentally. She always tells us that the food is really nice and the staff have been very responsive to any requests we have made to help her settle. The building itself is uplifting and pleasant and the smaller size of the home, we think, helps people get to know each other. We were very impressed with how long many of the staff have worked at Redwalls and it’s much better having consistent staff like this for Mum, who get to know her and her particular needs. They are great at finding things too, that she has misplaced, such as her hearing aids and tv remote. Regular activities are organised and this is really good for Mum and we have been able to visit regularly, within the Covid restrictions.

I have found all the staff at Redwalls, whatever their role, are caring and professional. I have been confident in the care my mum has been receiving throughout the pandemic and grateful to the staff for being there for her when we couldn’t. Now I am able to visit face to face again, it is evident she has been well looked after and she is comfortable. The relationships she has developed with the staff, that I have observed, are very positive. I am pleased that she is being encouraged to take part in activities and that she clearly is having good times, despite ill health.

My mother moved to Redwalls Nursing Home last October. She has settled in nicely meeting so many new people and staff. The home is always changing with the government guidelines to make sure that residents are safe and put in place so more family members can visit their loved ones. Looking forward to being able to take my mother out on a walk soon. Activity coordinators and staff go the extra mile by bringing in their four-legged friends to visit as often as they can. Pets are very good therapy for everyone.

The care provided for residents over the past year during the Covid pandemic has been excellent. The staff have been putting themselves at considerable risk from Covid by continuing to come to work and provide such kind and cheerful care. I know that my mother has been exceptionally well looked after in these challenging times. All the efforts to keep families in touch remotely are much appreciated by those unable to visit. The downside has been the frequent change in managers over time leading to discontinuity and a lack of good communication.

When my Mom was admitted to Redwalls following a 3-month stay in the hospital, we were very unsure about her being in a care home. Redwalls staff especially one member went out of their way to make her feel at home and settled in. We were also grateful for the opportunity to speak to my Mom via window visits which after not seeing her for 3 months was lovely. She is well looked after and the carers and staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mother is in your care for rehabilitation and after settling in is so happy and involved in everything that is going on in the home. We have been involved and kept up to date with everything that mum has been doing including her care and have had no questions left unanswered. I cannot thank the staff enough for the respect and care they show my mother as I have found it really difficult to take a step back and let someone else look after her during this time and I can assure you they have not disappointed me.

I feel my wife is very well cared and catered for, the staff are caring and committed to the patients' well being. My wife seems very happy when I come to see her and there are lots of different activities available.

First, my mother and then more recently my father have been residents at Redwalls. They are exceedingly caring and all the staff are so kind and polite. The residents look happy and well cared for. The home itself is very clean and we were delighted to see how lovely they have made my Dad’s room for him. The activities coordinators are brilliant and really keep the residents occupied if they can. Highly recommended.

I can not commend Redwall's management and staff highly enough of the superb care and service provided to my father during his stay. He was treated with kindness and respect and given the dignity he deserved.

As family members not able to visit because of lockdown restrictions, the staff went out of their way to ensure we were able to 'see' my father via FaceTime calls and showing him the family videos we sent. He was encouraged to partake in fun activities on a daily basis and found the staff kind and attentive. The food was also excellent.

An excellent nursing home, spotlessly clean and beautiful surroundings. Very caring staff who soon got to know Dad’s likes and dislikes. Receptive to my Dad’s needs and wishes. I am glad, as a family, we decided to move Dad to Redwalls nursing home.

The care that my mum has received since being at Redwalls has been excellent. The activities that are provided are well thought out and inclusive. My mum enjoys the variety of meals provided too.
