Been here nearly a month. Everything so far is good. Well looked after and well fed. I have slept well but waking up early - but no problem as I have a lot to do when I am up because of looking after my husband who is also a patient. We do sleep in same bed at home.

The staff at The Willows were kind and cared for my father with the health conditions he had. The room was clean and spacious with great facilities throughout. He enjoyed the meals provided and I was able to join him for lunch too, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I 100% would recommend The Willows care home. It's well led and delivers high-quality person-centred care.

My lovely dad became a resident at The Willows back in 2018, until he sadly lost his battle with dementia earlier this week.
From the very first tour of the facilities when Dad was a prospective resident to his final day, he has been looked after with such love, compassion, dignity and kindness.
We honestly can't thank all the wonderful staff enough for the support that Dad and our family have received over the years, and the outpouring of heartfelt love, grief and sympathy in Dad's final days was truly overwhelming. When making difficult decisions for a loved one it can be very daunting, but the decision to choose The Willows was the best decision we could ever have made!

We will never be able to say enough thank you to the truly wonderful people that we have been lucky enough to meet over the past few years, we have felt like part of a big family, and we had confidence in the fact that when we weren't able to be with Dad, he was safe, loved, and very well cared for. Thank you!

Dad was only at The Willows for a very short time, however, we have nothing but admiration for the care, time and support they gave to both Dad and us, especially during his end-of-life care. We also witnessed the care provided to other residents, which was lovely, they are like a big family.

The Willows team were universally kind and caring for our elderly mother. She was professionally cared for with real humanity. Although she missed her independence she felt at home at The Willows and was always full of praise and gratitude for what people did to make her safe and comfortable.

Mum was a resident at The Willows from June 2023 until February 2024. Her time spent at The Willows was exactly what Mum needed for the stage she had reached with dementia. All her carers were so kind and patient. Always cheerful and helped her in every way they could. Mum sadly passed away in her room but in the most peaceful way we could have hoped for. All the staff have been so compassionate with the family and have helped us through this sad time. As a family we couldn't have wished for more.

Thank you all so much.

The care and compassion shown by the staff in the dementia unit is excellent.

A few more tactile objects, such as a fidget board, would be beneficial.

From the first day that my mum was a resident at the care home, she was cared for, befriended and loved. It was like a large family, to this day I am humbled by the care and affection she was shown, she felt like she was on holiday and what a feeling for an offspring to know when their cherished parent feels so comfortable in their twilight years. It was lovely and clean, but the staff made it what it was. I can't praise them enough.

My dad was transferred to The Willows after a brief stay in hospital to recover from a fall at his home.
It became clear that he would not be able to return home and live independently. The support he and us as a family received from The Willows from the minute he arrived made it an easy decision to choose The Willows as his permanent new home (we viewed numerous other care homes and nothing compared).
Since then the care, attention and love shown to him and us by the staff has been exemplary.
The open friendly welcoming atmosphere at The Willows positively encourages to visit on a regular basis, you are greeted as though you are part of the wider Willows family. Whilst going through the emotion of putting a loved one into a care home The Willows have significantly eased this burden for us.

I am glad that my dad is happy, content and looked after by The Willows team, Thank you.

I was a resident at The Willows for 5 weeks for intermediate care. Throughout my stay, I received good care from all members of staff. I found everyone courteous and helpful. I appreciate that they encourage me to mix with other residents and avoid becoming isolated in my room. My only overall niggle was not with the staff at The Willows but a delay in the time it took for the pharmacy to deliver the prescribed medicine.

We were blessed to have my mother-in-law admitted to The Willows Nursing Home for intermediate care, she went on to be a permanent resident. The staff were all professional and friendly, they were very welcoming and made our initial few days a positive experience. The facilities were of a high standard, practical while feeling homely at the same time. It was wonderful to watch my mother-in-law settle in and blossom under their care. She had started to enjoy joining in with activities and talking to other residents. She enjoyed having her hair done and having manicures, probably for the first time in her life. My mother-in-law always had a very high regard for the person and the nursing care she received. She loved having banter with the staff. The care was encouraging while allowing my mother-in-law to have her say in her daily routine, something I know she was very pleased about. I will forever hold the last few months dearly in my heart as I know she was beginning to enjoy herself and blossom as a person. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

We were extremely lucky to secure a place for Mum shortly after she was discharged from the hospital and two weeks before the first lockdown. Communication during this time was facilitated through newsletters, Zoom calls, outdoor meetings, phone calls and the family newspaper, which was fantastic. When we were able to meet, Mum was always well-dressed and looked well cared for. We felt that Mum's health and welfare were prioritised and that she was always treated with dignity and respect - as were we as family members.

Excellent care due to the excellent qualified and unqualified staff. Very caring environment, and excellent communication between nursing, sisters, (RGNs), myself and the resident. I am fully qualified to make this assessment as a retired GP of 35 years in the locality and having been involved with three other nursing homes in the area. The standard of care continued until my wife died on 25/9/22 - 10/10.
