The Willows provides residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and short-stay care for up to 61 residents in a peaceful gated community in Mobberley, Cheshire.

Overlooking a bowling green and just a short distance from Tatton Park and Knutsford, the home offers a tranquil setting with easy access to local attractions. All bedrooms are en-suite, and the layout is designed to feel like small households, each with its own kitchen, lounge, and dining space to foster connection and comfort.

The grounds feature level-access gardens, raised beds, a lake and wooded area, and spaces for summer fairs, BBQs and wildlife watching. Our mum came to The Willows for end of life care.
We couldn't have had a better experience during a stressful period.
The staff and facilities ensured our mum died with the minimum of discomfort in a home from home environment.
As a family, we are more than grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend

Over the past 6 months, my wife had been resident in The Willows in Mobberley - firstly in the EMI side and then in the nursing side.
Regrettably, my wife passed away on the 7th May after a long and uncomfortable fight with Alzheimer’s.
However, I cannot find adequate words to express our complete
satisfaction at the standard of care that my wife had from the nurses and the wonderful carers. Some were younger than others but their training must have been very comprehensive as they were all “little angels on earth”.
Although our family is not of the Christian faith, we would have no hesitation in recommending The Willows to members of any faith - and, God willing, should I need such care and attention, I would willingly sign myself into The Willows.

From the moment she arrived there her care was excellent.
The care for us, her family was a great comfort to us all.

My mother, who had dementia, was a resident in The Willows Nursing Home in Mobberley Cheshire for 6 years up to her death in September 2018 and my brother and I have, throughout this time, been very happy with the way she has been looked after. Every one of the staff have been extremely caring and helpful

I really have nothing but praise for The Willows. My cousin always said, "this is a good place - rather like a nice holiday hotel".
My cousin chose to keep herself to herself much of the time but I was aware of the excellent opportunities to keep residents stimulated.
In particular, I am so grateful
for the special care for both my cousin and me at the end of her life.

My mother recently passed away at The Willows having lived there for 6 months. The care she received was fantastic she was treated with such care and dignity and real affection from all the staff. The nurses are literally angels in disguise. All of the staff supported both mum and all her family during

In all honesty, I am the worse critic for my fathers care as I'm a care manager, so looking at homes and care was difficult as I wanted the best for him. We found it here. The staff are amazing, the manager is very open and is always willing to help with any concerns we may have. Dads transition was
not easy and he wasn't very appeased but he didn't know what was happening, the manager and all the team on Fieldview are fabulous. We never worry about if we made the right choice. We are treated like extended family when we visit. It is a relief to know dad is loved and card for just like if he was at home.

If you are looking for an excellent, caring nursing home for a loved one, then I highly recommend a visit to the Willows.
Both my parents enjoyed their time there. They received kindness and care from the friendly and professional staff. I and my family were able to visit at any time and were always
made welcome. My parents' rooms were spacious, bright and spotless. I was able to bring items from home to make it feel homely. Every time I visited the Willows, I know I had made the right decision. My parents were comfortable and well cared for and most importantly, happy in a well staffed, caring environment.

I think it unlikely that there is a care home where the residents are more loved and cared for than the Willows. Although sometimes residents can be very distressed and difficult to help, the staff are unfailing in their support and patience. My mother lived at The Willows for 5 1/2 years until her
recent death and was looked after with skill and tenderness right up until the end. I will always be grateful to them for their support.

My mother arrived after Christmas. The staff encouraged her mobility and got her downstairs, involved with the other residents. After she became less mobile they were efficient and sensitive to her needs and she was always treated with respect, care and love. When she became gravely ill she could not
have wished for kinder or more sensitive nursing. The chaplain gave her and our family constant support and the GP for the home was also readily available and went out of his way to be helpful.

I felt comfortable being at The Willows from the very first time that I visited. This has developed into a huge appreciation and confidence in all that happens here. My sister had multiple challenges both mental and physical and most significantly cannot articulate her needs. All her carers are skilled
in interpreting facial expressions and my sister's needs are anticipated well. Staff have shown me huge support at various crisis points and now feel like friends and extended family. The manager has an impressive combination of professionalism and sensitivity. I am so grateful that I found this home and wholeheartedly recommend it.

My 95 year old mum was admitted on an emergency placement as she was no longer able to manage with support from home care. She was not confident to stand/walk on her own but was capable of making decisions, up to date on current affairs and an independent lady who knew what she wanted. I went to visit
her the day after admission and found her sat in a very poorly lit room, very near to a radiator and a few feet from a television with a channel 4 chat show on at a high volume. She was very distressed as she could not see anyone as her back was to the room door and she had no remote control to alter the television or switch it off. She had an indwelling catheter. In her own home, she had a catheter valve, this had been changed to a drainage bag which was supported by a G-strap only and hanging off her leg below the level of her skirt. My sister and I spoke to the nurses about the above concerns. The nurses did not want to understand about my mum, how she had lived by herself with the support of carers, the difficulties she has been having, her likes/dislikes. They said they would find out by themselves. Nothing changed that day concerning the lighting, remote control or catheter drainage bag. The nurse said the catheter valve had been changed to a bag at the direction of her GP. I visited my mum the next day and she immediately asked if she could go to the toilet. I asked 2 different carers who both said she did not need to go as she had just been. I told mum what they said and again she said she needed to go and became distressed as she did not want to soil herself. I stood in the corridor to wait for a carer and on the third time of asking, told me they would come when free to asses. The carers did come and did transfer my mum to the toilet and she did a large bowel movement. The carers moved my mum without talking to her, explaining what they were going to do and did not give her the opportunity to stand and move herself with their support and when she sat on the toilet, she fell backwards and could have easily banged her head or hurt her back. I was very distressed and upset with what I had experienced when I visited mum at the care home. I did not consider that she was shown dignity and respect, care or compassion. I spoke to mum's GP about my concerns and experiences, including the change in her catheter management and he informed me that he had not advised a catheter drainage bag and his preference was for a valve. When my mum was transferred to a different nursing home, she still had a drainage bag secured only with a G-strap and hanging from her leg below the level of her skirt. Are you aware of The Fifteen Step Challenge? NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement 2012. I did not get a good first impression of the care given to my mum. I expected high quality individualised care delivered in a safe and welcoming environment. I hope that by following this up on behalf of myself and my mum and my family that it will influence for the better. The care and memories going forward for other individuals and their families. I look forward to a response following this review.

Over a period of four years, my father was well looked after by the team at The Willows. He told people he enjoyed living there and that the food was good. He took part in some of the social activities and really enjoyed the trip on a barge. Family and friends were always made welcome, being offered
tea and coffee and meals could be pre-arranged.

Tamara Simmons is the dedicated Home Manager at MHA The Willows and will be celebrating 11 years in the role this September. A qualified nurse since 1986, Tamara began her career in the NHS, specialising in the care of older people, before moving into the private sector in 1996 to continue her passion for elderly care in residential settings.


With decades of experience behind her, Tamara remains focused on delivering high-quality care that enables residents to live active, fulfilling lives. Her leadership style is hands-on and person-centred, and she values the importance of getting to know each resident individually.
