The Cornmill Nursing Home is set in beautiful surroundings and provides first-class nursing and care services. The rooms are beautifully furnished and there are lots of little personal touches which do help the Cornmill to be a genuine home from home. Friends and relatives are made very welcome and
encouraged to join in the many varied activities. My late husband suffered from Parkinson's disease and was very severely disabled. He could do very little for himself. I knew that he was safe and happy in high-class surroundings. This was a great comfort to me during his illness and I received wonderful support from the Cornmill Nursing Home.

The team and management at Cornmill Nursing Home are caring and professional. My dad was treated with dignity and respect during his time at Cornmill Nursing Home. End of life care was provided with the utmost care and respect. My dad was cared for with amazing care provided by amazing staff especially
in the weeks prior and at death.

We chose the Cornmill Nursing Home for my wife after some research and we were not disappointed. The home even laid on a meal for several of us on my wife's birthday.

Cornmill Nursing Home is a lovely place. Picturesque building and very pretty location. Inside it is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, peaceful and homely. The staff are wonderful, they can't do enough for you and food looks delicious. Sadly my mother was only a resident here for a few weeks. I had
hoped that she would have enjoyed her last few years here but her illness quickly took over.


I would recommend Cornmill Nursing Home to anyone without hesitation.

This was Mum's third and final care home as I'd wheeled her out of the first two in disgust.
The treatment and care she was given in the Cornmill was second to none. She was almost treated as family by the staff, many of whom were deeply upset by her passing.
If only all care homes were run like the
Cornmill.

I am confident that my husband is well cared for. I know he has a good relationship with staff especially those members of staff who provide his nursing care.


Throughout the difficult aftermath of flooding in November 2015 the owners have done their level best to ensure that it was "business as

usual" and they are to be commended for their resolution in the face of such difficulties.

My father has lived in the Cornmll for over a year. Since arriving (in a very weakened state from hospital) he has not looked back. He is cared for by staff who are professional, efficient, caring and respectful. He is listened to and wherever possible his wishes are met. He says "nothing is too much
trouble for them".
His sense of humour has returned and he feels very comfortable in the very clean and pleasant environment. He has recently had a downturn in his condition, the staff have reacted promptly and will always find time to discuss aspects of care with relatives, if asked. My father's siblings visit and again they think The Cornmill is a very caring home in a wonderful setting.

Both my parents have been resident at the Cornmill for intermittent periods from January 2016. Throughout they have been cared for in the highest professional manner and also with real concern and kindness. Recently my father returned for end of life care before his death. During this time I was kept
fully informed and encouraged to spend time with him. After his death the family were supported well and given useful practical help. My mother is currently a resident and I have complete peace of mind that she is safe and being cared for in the best possible way. Whilst all the staff have been good at caring for my parents I would like to especially praise the Matron for the exceptional help and support she has given to my parents and the family.

My mother has been in The Cornmill for four years, during this time mum's needs have changed a great deal. Whatever her needs they have always been fully understood and met by staff and facilities at The Cornmill. Mum has been comfortable, happy and content during her stay, and I have been able to resume
a more normal life style feeling confident that mum is well looked after.

Of all the homes for Mum that we visited Cornmill is far and away the best. The accommodation is excellent and the food, very important for Mum, is of a very high standard. We appreciate the entertainment and activities provided to stimulate the residents. Mum knows she is very lucky to have a room
there and we are very fortunate that the nursing care takes away all our worries about her health.

One word FANTASTIC! This is a real home from home where the needs of the residents are of the utmost importance. Nothing is too much trouble and family members are also supported. My Uncle is happy and safe and I know that he is getting the best care possible. The staff are amazing and the Matron and
Manager are always available.
