Dovehaven Lodge is always clean, tidy and welcoming. Staff are very helpful and friendly. When I visit my friend, staff are caring and kind with her.
Thank you for your kind words and 5* review, its greatly appreciated.
Staff looked after my father in his final months an were unbeleavable. The level of care compassion & humanity they showed him made a difficult time easier. My dad was comfortable and cared for at all times, and we cannot thank you enough.
Thank you for your heartfelt review. We're so pleased that we could care for your father and support your family, and we're glad he was comfortable and well cared for during that time.
Since being here at Dovehaven my grandma hasn't had one UTI, yet in her last care home she was getting them every other month. Gran is well cared for despite her frailty. She has no pressure sores. Nothing is too much trouble for the care team, the hostess and the manager. The male staff are so kind and respectful on Acorn and Linda is an amazing kind hostess. Sharon looks after grans needs, Demi and the other staff are person centred with regards to their approach.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear that your gran is receiving such thoughtful, person-centred care and that our team's efforts are making a positive difference.
My father-in-law was looked after very well at this care home. All his needs were met. Staff were all very helpful and approachable towards dads needs, very compassionate. Also the nurses and the doctors provided excellent medical care for dad with dignity. The reception staff were very friendly and provided good assistance at all times.
Thank you for your kind words. We're glad your father-in-law was well cared for and our Dovehaven Lodge team made a positive difference.
Friendly, attentive, professional care in often challenging environments. Visiting mum is emotional and usually upsetting yet the staff show empathy to me in addition to mum. Impressive and consistent.
Thank you for your kind words. Hearing that our staff are friendly, attentive and professional in any environment means so much to us. Our team at Dovehaven Lodge are always ensuring they are giving our residents the highest level of care.
Mum is always clean and comfortable, is given plenty of food and drink, drinks are in a jug with date left in mums room. Always greeted well by staff.
Thank you for your kind words. We're thrilled to hear that your mum is always clean and comfortable. Our team are always happy to greet our family members in a friendly and welcoming way.
After three years in the Beech Unit, my wife has moved to Rowan. In the three years, we witnessed nothing but kindness from the staff. They were always caring and interested in her welfare and looked after her every need. They were also interested in our family and kept us up to date. She has moved because she needed a quieter atmosphere. She certainly seems to be calmer.
Thank you for your kind words and thoughtful review. We're truly grateful for your recognition of the care and dedication our team provides. Its wonderful to hear that your wife felt supported and cared for during her time at Beech unit and that her transition to Rowan has brought her comfort and...
When my mother-in-law came to Dovehaven Lodge, I was very concerned how she would cope with the move. However one staff member in particular and her team have been wonderful. She is well cared for, and helped with her meals. The staff are polite and welcoming. I would recommend this care home to other people.

Can't speak highly enough, Dovehaven Lodge is excellent in every way. The care my mum receives is better than excellent, and her room is spotlessly clean. Feel so lucky that my mum is spending her final years in such a fabulous place. Thank you to everyone.

Carers use kind language with the patients and check in consistently. He has everything he needs in his room. His room is cleaned regularly. His personal hygiene is handled with care.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you found everything clean and that our staff are making a positive impression. Your feedback is truly appreciated.
I find most staff go to great lengths for my mam from domestics to office staff. I have a few issues with the laundry staff or rather the way some things are washed and how they are put away. Yes in the grand scheme of things my mam is well looked after safe, warm, well fed and above all cared for.
Thank you so much for sharing your kind words about our team's care for your mum. We're delighted to hear that she is feeling safe, well cared for, and supported by our staff. We appreciate your feedback on laundry service, and we'll make sure to address this with our team.
I think my mum is as settled as she ever will be. However, there are always different staff that aren't quite as caring as the regular staff. I take my mum cappuccinos and find depending on who is working, depends on whether she gets any. The food doesn't look as good as it was either.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns about your mum's experience. It's important to us that she feels as settled, comfortable and cared for as possible. Thank you for your feedback.
My mum is very happy here she is well cared for.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear that our team at Dovehaven Lodge are looking after your mum. Hearing how happy your mum is in our care means so much to us.
Basically I can sleep at night knowing mum is in the best care I could wish for - after a few years of constant anxiety when she was living at home with visiting carers. Additionally, it was her wish to come into care here, due in no small part to the excellent (loving!!) care you guys gave my dad before his death in 2016. I speak for the whole family when I say thanks to you all.
Thank you so much for your amazing review! It's amazing to hear how well your mum is doing in Dovehaven Lodge and that you are happy with the level of care she is receiving. Our team are dedicated to giving our residents the highest level of care which we take pride in knowing everyone is well cared for.
There appears to be very little stimulation or activity for residents in the Rowan unit. Residents sitting in the lounge looked bored - no TV, music or interaction with each other. The staff looked tired and bored. The room smelt awful and the bedding was soiled. I was disappointed in what I saw. Lunch looked less than appetising - pudding always seems to be rice pudding!
Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback. We've passed your concerns to our Regional Manager, who will reach out to you directly to discuss this further. We value your feedback and it helps us identify areas for improvement and ensures we deliver the best possible care.
The care home is all ground floor. Corridors are wide and airy with handrails provided. Fire and evacuations are excellent. Management and staff are very good accessible and caring. Treating residents with great dignity. All the equipment is at hand for example baths, showers, hoists etc. Rooms are and all the home is clean to a high standard. Lots of various activities are laid on and food is excellent and varied. My wife is very happy to stay there and I visit every day.
Thank you for your kind words, it is heart-warming and very much appreciated
The home is warm and welcoming to everyone who comes. The staff are very good and look after the people well. The food needs to be warmer as it's always cold. My mum says the food is not good. I feel this needs looking into. I find the photos that are taken make the room look nice and welcoming to everyone. Keep up the good work. The place needs more staff only two on duty this is not good.
Thank you very much for your review and comments. The team at the home works so hard to ensure that all residents are safe, well and happy, it appears that this is being achieved, which we are pleased about. your comments regarding the food have been discussed directly, to resolve the issue. Kind regards
Always a friendly welcome and carers are very helpful.
Thank you very much for your ratings and kind comments about the team at the home, we will be sure to pass them on. Kind regards.
My husband has settled well which makes me feel better. He likes the majority or the staff.
Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to review Dovehaven Lodge, we do appreciate your ratings. Kind regards.
After an initial settling-in period where things were slightly up and down which as a family we understand, we're pleased to see our mum being extremely well looked after. The food is loved by Mum and her personal hygiene is well cared for. We would highly recommend Dovehaven Lodge.
Thank you very much for your review and recommendation for Dovehaven Lodge. So good to know that your mum is 'well looked after'. Kind regards
