If I have any concerns/ queries I can always go to the office to speak to someone. They always have time to put my mind at ease.
The carers I have seen always make a point of smiling, speaking and sometimes 'playing' with the less able residents.
We recently had a party at Westvale to celebrate mums 86th birthday. The chef made a tasty buffet and the activities worker arranged for entertainment and balloons etc.
I would highly recommend Westvale !!

Hi, my name is Denise and I joined Westvale House as Home Administrator in August 2023.
It is my role to support the General Manager by maintaining the administration and financial systems within the home. I enjoy working as part of a company that values and is dedicated to its residents and their care. Every day is different from the last, and there's always something to look forward to.
You will always receive a warm welcome here at Westvale House - please come along and visit us, either to take a tour or to attend one of our events.
Hi, my name is Lesley and I'm Head Chef here at Westvale House.
I started working here in 2023, and absolutely love my job. My passion is cooking and baking, and trying new ideas, so I love that I get to explore and create new menus. Every day is different, and exploring the likes and wants of residents' food choices makes it so exciting. There's not a request we haven't had!
Outside of work, I love to walk my Boxer dog Cooper. I also like to read, going to darts and rugby tournaments, and visiting my children and grandchildren who live over in Ireland.
Hi, I'm Clement, and I'm a Nurse here at Westvale House. I started here as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner in September 2022, and have since qualified and worked my way up to Nurse.
My role is to ensure all of our residents feel safe, secure and loved and that their families feel content in the knowledge their loved ones are being well cared for. As a team, we ensure we maintain a professional, relaxed and friendly environment, and we work hard to promote a homely atmosphere. I love working at Westvale House.
Hi, I’m Aimee and I am the Activities Co-ordinator here at Westvale House.
My role is to support Residents well-being, to provide enriching and meaningful activities and promote independence and social engagement.
I joined the team in April 2025 and by far the best part of the role is getting to know our Residents and their families. They have many stories to share and understanding their individual needs enables me to plan and deliver a tailored activities program that captures and includes everyone in the home.
Prior to joining Westvale I worked in Forensic Mental Health and prior as a Community Support Worker and feel that along with my NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise not only to my role but to contribute to the Barchester whole home approach.
Outside of work, I enjoy regular trips to the cinema with my Fiancée, we adore our six cats and have plenty of cuddles and when time allows we get out and about for long walks.
