Ferndale Court Care Home

Having visited the home on many occasions, I cannot fault this beautiful home. From the first smile at the front door to the courtesy of leaving. I found all staff members to be approachable from admin through to domestic. You can clearly see how their presence with residents brightens there day. I witnessed the care of residents and family members and was overjoyed to see the relationship between them. The home looked and smelt clean and the residents looked well cared for and happy. Should I ever require such services Ferndale Court will be my first choice.

My husband and I think Ferndale Court is absolutely wonderful. We have no worries about our daughter living there. The staff are wonderful, hardworking and caring. We know our daughter is taken good care of. Also, as well as the care, they have all kinds of activities to keep the patients happy. Would recommend Ferndale Court to anybody. Thank you.

Since my Dad moved to Ferndale in February 2018, we have been very happy with the standard of care given by all staff members. Dad is always well kept and clean. The staff are very caring and treat him with dignity and for us, as visitors, they are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are great and we are very happy with the care provided so far.

Although my mother died peacefully in Ferndale Court last year, myself and my family will be forever grateful to the resident care assistants, management and staff at Ferndale Court for their kind and wonderful care, both for my mother and ourselves (family) during what was a traumatic time. For us all, I found the staff always prepared to "go that extra mile" in a caring and compassionate and professional way. Again many thanks.

When my mother went to Ferndale Court Care Home she was made to feel welcome she was soon relaxed, even now she seems quite happy. She has a good rapport with the care staff, which makes it easier for her family when we visit.

First class experience of the staff who had taken care of my Dads stay in Ferndale. They all went above and beyond of what was expected from them, staying behind to care for my Dad after their shift had ended. Words are not enough to express my gratitude. Ferndale Court and all the staff meet all the needs of my husbands to an excellent degree including those times when my husband can be quite difficult to cope with. I am so grateful for this as I would not be able to cope at home on my own.

From the first day of arrival, all of the staff go about their jobs in a pleasant and friendly manner. They all appear to be very efficient in whatever tasks they are required to do. The meals provided are of excellent quality and are diverse and suit all tastes.

Overall an excellent establishment and a credit to the senior management.

My husband has been in Ferndale Court now for over 2 months and he has had very good care and is treated with dignity. The staff in my husbands unit are very kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. They make sure that they include my husband in all the activities and always talk to him.

On visiting my cousin at Ferndale Court Care Home in Widnes I was very pleased with the attention the staff gave to the residents. They were all treated with the respect we all deserve. As a visitor, I was impressed with the home itself. It was clean and tidy and there was a very happy feeling about the place. I have been a caregiver myself so I am aware of the needs of the elderly and my honest opinion is that at Ferndale Court Care Home all these needs are met. The staff are happy and friendly and I feel my cousin is safe in their hands, whoever came up with the idea of a letterbox on all doors was brilliant. My cousin seemed more settled seeing her room as her house, not her bedroom and I think that made it easier for her.

My friend has been in Ferndale Court for more than three years. We have always been very impressed by the care she received. The office staff, cleaners, laundry, caretaker, activities Director and nursing staff have always gone the extra mile in being friendly, helpful and very thoughtful in the way they have treated my friend. Today as we were leaving St Helen's hospital. The consultant and nurses commented to me and my friend what a good care home she had come from. They were very impressed by her cleanliness, not only physically but her clothes also. I would recommend Ferndale Court to everyone. It really does feel like home.

My mum has recently been admitted to Bluebell Unit. The staff are very kind, patient and informative. My mum can be a bit of a handful. I don't know how they do it.

My sister recently passed away on the Sunflower Unit, the staff were kind and caring. She died with dignity and respect. Best decision I made.

I was anxious about my mum going into care. My mum is now in Ferndale Court the staff are very kind and patient, nothing has been too much trouble. It has reassured me about care in care homes.

My two cousins visited today (not seen mum since first came here). They were amazed how much mum has improved, how happy and bright she was. They said it was the nicest nursing home they have been in. I told them we are very happy with mums care here and it is a blessing to all the family to see mum so happy.

I visited today Ferndale Court and the staff were very polite and friendly. As I am quite frail myself the staff assisted me and gave me a cup of tea, took the time to make me feel welcome.
