With the acceptance of my father, I cannot express my happiness. He is more than happy and has had no issues at all with settling in.

Our mum was admitted to Ferndale in September 2019. Shortly after admission, she was hospitalised with a previous condition. Unfortunately, she deteriorated while she was in hospital. She was discharged as medically fit and returned to Ferndale to continue her care. The care, support and consideration shown by all the staff at Ferndale was more than we could ever have hoped for. On our mum's final days, as a family, we were welcomed into the home to stay at any time and to visit Mum at any time. As a family this gave us time to spend with Mum over her lasting hours. This was invaluable for our family as it brought us all together with our Mum and Dad to say our final goodbyes to Mum. This made our mums passing that little bit more bearable to be able to feel like we were at 'home' rather than in a home. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ferndale as a care home to anybody who asked us what our opinion was. Thank you all to the amazing staff.

Our Mum, unfortunately, had a short stay in Ferndale before she passed away. Mum went there in September 2019 and passed away on 2nd November. During her stay, the staff were supportive, kind, caring and professional and this was not only to Mum but to us as a family.
We were spending a great deal of time at the care home along with Dad and we felt like it was our home as well as Mum's. The staff were constantly checking on Mum even though she was on bed care they sometimes dressed her so it didn't look like she was just in her nightclothes constantly. These small things helped us as a family, as we felt she was still keeping her dignity.
Mum required nursing and she was given that with a lot of compassion and care. We could not have asked more of the staff at the home they were all so caring right across the board. We will always be grateful for the lovely, peaceful ending Mum had and this was down to the staff at the home.

From our experience, we would not hesitate to recommend Ferndale.

My father has had a relatively short stay at Ferndale but as a family, we all wished he had been able to be there longer than in hosptial. What a fabulous home with fabulous management and staff. They have been so good with my dad and would recommend Ferndale to anyone considering a care home for their relative.

The care my husband received in Ferndale was excellent. The staff were marvellous to my husband and also to all members of our family. Very friendly, nothing too much trouble. The food looked good, like home cooking. Also the entertainment chap actually got my husband singing!

When my mum became a patient here, the staff welcomed us and was very friendly and each member explained what their job was.
As a family, we are happy with all the service that she is receiving on a day to day basis. Our mum is very happy also.

Thank you for your help and support. Much appreciated.

No complaints at all. Mom loved living at Ferndale Court.
Staff were brilliant, very kind and caring, always looked after us and mom.
The kitchen staff were great, would always change mom's menu if needed. Nothing too much trouble for anyone.

Would absolutely recommend this care home.

My Dad is very settled at Ferndale Court. He is encouraged to join in all activities to avoid isolation. He is always treated well and with respect. Therefore reducing worry for immediate family. He seems very happy living at Ferndale.

The level of care that my mother has received at Ferndale Court has been excellent and I recommend to anyone. For me, my mum would not still be with us without the level of care that has been provided by the team.

My mum was in this home for five and a half years. She was really well looked after. I couldn't have asked for better care towards the end of her life. She asked to die in the home, not in hospital.
I can't speak highly enough of the manager and the staff. At the end of her life, I was given a room so I could stay with Mum until the end. The staff were amazing, two of them staying for ten hours after their shift finished. I can't praise this home, staff and manager enough.

Well done everyone and thank you all.

Ferndale is a very well run establishment. The staff are very helpful and I feel my mother is well looked after and happy in the home. The activities are quite good. My only disappointment with the home is sometimes, the food is not the standard you would expect.

This was a very nice visit today (with my husband) to see my sister.

It was her birthday and the staff made a great effort to make it a happy one for her. As visitors, we were afforded a lovely welcome. It was lovely to see my sister enjoying all the attention. The companionship was really well received by her.

Having visited the home on many occasions, I cannot fault this beautiful home. From the first smile at the front door to the courtesy of leaving. I found all staff members to be approachable from admin through to domestic. You can clearly see how their presence with residents brightens there day. I witnessed the care of residents and family members and was overjoyed to see the relationship between them. The home looked and smelt clean and the residents looked well cared for and happy. Should I ever require such services Ferndale Court will be my first choice.

My husband and I think Ferndale Court is absolutely wonderful. We have no worries about our daughter living there. The staff are wonderful, hardworking and caring. We know our daughter is taken good care of. Also, as well as the care, they have all kinds of activities to keep the patients happy. Would recommend Ferndale Court to anybody. Thank you.
