My mum has been at Holly Tree Lodge EMI Care Home for around two years now and my uncle was also a resident until his passing last September 2021. The care home is wlays kept clean and tidy, especially residents rooms. All staff are excellent, from kitchen, cleaners, care/nursing staff and office management.
As a family we are welcomed and looked after which is two-fold for my Mum. She is happy here, so we are! Well done!

You can see a lot of thought has gone into planning the decor of Holly Tree Lodge EMI Care Home, the hallways are well thought out capturing different themes of the 'circular' route of the lower floor, including an old street front and woodland walk area. Doors and furnishings are coloured to make
it easier for those with dementia to identify, with pictures to help residents understand what rooms are through the doors eg toilets, bedrooms etc. You can see they implement as much of new guidance and ideas as possible.
Staff, although busy, are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. You can see they genuinely care for their residents, having a family approach where everyone helps out no matter what their role.
Staff were patient when assisting residents.
Seating in lounges is comfortable and arranged in groups to promote conversation, it felt more like a hotel lobby than a care home, with residents chatting to each other and milling around.
This home has a lovely home from home feel.

In all aspects, we rate this care home and staff as good. However, among staff, a good number are excellent, especially activity workers.
Staff are kind and friendly. Residents look well-kempt and cared for. Many other care homes we contacted declined to accept our son due to his young age despite
his "young-onset Alzheimer's" Holly Tree Lodge EMI Care Home didn't think twice, and since he has moved in they have happily worked hard to meet his needs. Management and staff are approachable and always willing to give relatives time (face to face or via telephone).

My husband has been a resident at Holly Tree Lodge for nearly 3 months.
The home is in the centre of a village community and has plenty of outside space. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, not luxurious, but home and personal embellishments are encouraged. The dining room and lounges are spacious
and non-institutional with small areas off them where residents and visitors can be more private if required.
This was a very difficult step for both of us. From the outset, all staff have worked to make my husband feel at home and wanted, whilst being sympathetic to the pain of separation we are feeling. I feel he is relaxed and learning to adapt here, whilst I am sure he is safe, comfortable and receiving professional compassionate care.
Management is very effective and approachable, and the ethos of the home I have described is very much led by her.

My sister has required care for the past 2 years, Holly Tree is the 4th care home and she has received the best care here and will remain here as long as possible. Staff are approachable and aware of her needs. Management are excellent. We have had no concerns since she has been here.

This is the 4th care home Mum has been in. We have had no cause to complain and have been happy with her care. She had an accident today whilst we visited and was attended to immediately. The management are excellent - very approachable and always available to speak to.

My dad moved to Holly Tree Lodge EMI Care Home when his condition became serious and was not there for a long period of time before passing. While he was a resident he was treated with care, kindness, dignity and compassion. The team were happy, positive and supportive to both him and me.

Mum became a resident at Holly Tree Lodge in late April 2021. Since then we have witnessed a massive improvement in her general appearance and welfare. Mum lived alone and was stubbornly independent refusing help and was obstructive to all the agencies trying to provide help. She suffered increasing
levels of hallucinations and it became apparent that she was leaving the house at all hours to walk the streets in a confused state. Mum's appearance and personal hygiene also began to suffer.
At Holly Tree Lodge Mum is now safe and well cared for, eating regular meals, taking her medication, wearing clean clothing and being given help with her personal hygiene.
Mum's hallucinations appear to have stopped and she is happily joining in with the varied activities at the home.
We live a long distance away so visiting is difficult, but the care team are very helpful and keep us regularly updated about Mum, sending us videos of Mum dancing and gardening.

My auntie was taken into this care home, following some unpleasant home care services that she had been receiving
So far she seems to be interacting well with others, happy and laughing when we visit her.
Having seen the staff interact with other residents whilst we were there, I would suggest others
are settled too.

My husband was taken into respite care at Holly Tree Lodge in February this year, he had dementia and mobility problems. The home is a 30-40 minute drive away from my home but it was the only one that could meet his needs. I was apprehensive as I didn't know the area but all worries were unfounded.
My husband settled well and quickly formed a bond with his carers. The care he received was excellent, no one was left unattended they went above and beyond to care for residents.

My dad spent his last few months in the nursing care of Holly Tree, having been transferred from a less that desirable situation in his previous home. He improved mentally and physically, almost immediately. Every member of staff we dealt with had the utmost compassion and respect for Dad and us. These
people work hard, but they always smile. At his previous place we were often met with sullen faces or abrupt comments and Dad seemed quite depressed there. Holly Tree gave him back a bit of dignity. During the difficult visiting restrictions of Covid-19 the staff at Holly Tree did everything they could to accommodate family, it had been such a stressful process at the last care home but here they made it easier and more pleasant. Dad spent a short time in hospital before being deemed end of life and we opted for him to return. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. In his final hours they brought us food and drinks and checked we were all ok on a regular basis, so compassionate.

Visited Dad for the first time after he had only been in the home a couple of months. The staff all knew him by name and showed genuine affection towards him. He appeared well looked after and said he was happy there.

The care home staff are attentive and on hand when required. The actual building/facilities are a little tired in terms of decor.
In terms of activities; they appear to be centred around the lounge, it would be good if there were external activities; as Mum loves gardening.

On entering the care home, the office staff are always polite and helpful. The carers and nurses are always busy but find time for you if you need their help. the food is always very good. The residents are all well looked after. Good food, nice and warm and kept clean. What more could we ask for.

My husband has been at the care home since October 2017 and after a period of 6 weeks he was quite difficult for them but with the care and attention, they gave him he seems to be settled and happy.
The home is a very calm and pleasant place for him to enjoy and visiting him is a pleasure for me.
