I find that The Laurels Care Home is a fantastic place for residential care. It provides excellent care to my Mother & other residents in a safe and clean environment. All staff including carers, catering, maintenance & cleaning staff are always friendly & polite. The interaction between staff, residents
and visitors alike is outstanding. Activities are planned weekly and very well organised and especially welcoming to the local community to be part of The Laurels daily activities and events.

Staff and management excellent. Location for and my mum was perfect. Secure for peace of mind and always contactable and welcomed to visited as regular as possible which I did almost every day.
My Mum was just getting settled when she suddenly fell ill which then resulted in her passing hours later.
A
shame as see seemed very happy and was just getting into the swing of things.
With knowing alot if the staff and after reviewing all other local facilities there was a clear winner and I would recommend the Laurels every time

I cannot recommend Woodlea highly enough. After visiting many care homes, the moment we were shown around by Emma and met Lydia, we knew we'd finally found the right place for my mum to spend the final chapter of her life. As we got to know the team, it became clear how special you all are - caring,
compassionate, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure residents and families felt comfortable and supported. The food was excellent and thoughtfully tailored to her needs, while the entertainment and special events brought laughter and cherished memories. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for the kindness, dignity, and warmth you showed my mum and our family. You made her final days peaceful and meaningful, and for that we will always be truly grateful. With sincere thanks and appreciation. Adrian, Joanne & Ciaran

Wrawby Hall

Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
I would not recommend this facility for a loved one, suffering with dementia. The dignified & personal care was such a low, my loved one was wet/soiled upon every visit, meaning family had to do this. IPC was not controlled at all, staff were unable to answer questions in relation to preventing certain
things. Knifes & forks were left with my loved one, wandering around with them & no staff supervising. Residents were able to access my loved one's room continuously without being stopped. An ambulance had arrived and a relative stayed with my loved one for 6 hours, my loved one didn't get offered food or drink. The level of care was very poor, not person centred or dignified, as well as being given false updates on what my loved one was doing. Do not recommend.

After 3 weeks in a hospital we had the opportunity to move our 81 year old mother to a care home with nursing care. What a difference it made to our mother and my sister and I. We cannot recommend Bridgewater Park highly enough. The whole team from office, nurses, carers, catering staff, tea ladies,
cleaners were all angels in disguise who wrapped our mother (and us) in compassionate, loving, tender care made the most difficult and painful of times as dignified and caring as was possible. We cannot thank and praise them enough.

Bob received good care at Bridgewater Park in Scunthorpe. His carers and nurses made sure he was well looked after during his short stay at the home.
We felt happy that his needs were being met and that he was safe and well looked after.
The home is in the process of some renovation and decoration
which will make it an even better environment for residents and visitors alike.
Would recommend.

I visited my relative and was very impressed with the home. The staff that I met were kind and helpful, very pleasant and well groomed. I have managed two nursing homes, one 60-bed and one 88-bed, in the past and know how difficult it is to maintain a clean home. I detected no unpleasant odours, not
even a hint of urine. Though it was obvious the home was not new, it appeared clean and a pleasant environment for the residents. I was impressed.

My dad has been in The Laurels for over 2 years now and from his arrival I have found the team at the care home very professional, friendly and attentive to not just my own dad but to other residents too.
My dad had a health scare in February this year and I could not have asked for better support
from the girls on duty that day (8th Feb 2025). They displayed genuine concerned and empathy and there is no training for that.
The care home itselfs always appears clean and tidy and smells fresh.
If there is a suggestion I could make is that requests for a visit from the audiologists would be followed up. My dad is deaf and with 1 lost hearing aid and the other not working, conversations are difficult.
I have asked for a home visit appoiontment to be made but nothing has been organised as yet. I'd very much appreciate it if this could be followed up please.
I would highly recommend The Laurels.
