Bob received good care at Bridgewater Park in Scunthorpe. His carers and nurses made sure he was well looked after during his short stay at the home.
We felt happy that his needs were being met and that he was safe and well looked after.
The home is in the process of some renovation and decoration
which will make it an even better environment for residents and visitors alike.
Would recommend.

I visited my relative and was very impressed with the home. The staff that I met were kind and helpful, very pleasant and well groomed. I have managed two nursing homes, one 60-bed and one 88-bed, in the past and know how difficult it is to maintain a clean home. I detected no unpleasant odours, not
even a hint of urine. Though it was obvious the home was not new, it appeared clean and a pleasant environment for the residents. I was impressed.

My dad has been in The Laurels for over 2 years now and from his arrival I have found the team at the care home very professional, friendly and attentive to not just my own dad but to other residents too.
My dad had a health scare in February this year and I could not have asked for better support
from the girls on duty that day (8th Feb 2025). They displayed genuine concerned and empathy and there is no training for that.
The care home itselfs always appears clean and tidy and smells fresh.
If there is a suggestion I could make is that requests for a visit from the audiologists would be followed up. My dad is deaf and with 1 lost hearing aid and the other not working, conversations are difficult.
I have asked for a home visit appoiontment to be made but nothing has been organised as yet. I'd very much appreciate it if this could be followed up please.
I would highly recommend The Laurels.

I took my mum into laurels care home on 1/8/2025 , I knew it wasn't going to be easy for me or my mum ,,
But the level of care and understanding from the managers & staff involved was absolutely outstanding ,,, what was achieved on that day seemed like a miracle to me , I went home 100% completely
satisfied with no worry for my mums care and safety ,
I've visited this home on numerous occasions at different times and found all the staff very helpful and very caring on every visit which is all I wish for also the atmosphere is so pleasant and the home itself is so homely and immaculate
I am truly grateful my mum is at this home

I have never had any issues with the care my mum recieves from the Laurels care home. All the staff work very hard to ensure there residents are well looked after. They often put functions on for the residents which my mum really enjoys. All staff are pleasant and polite when visiting they have regular
activities during the week provided by a member of staff. the manager is always aproachable and happy to listen to any queries. Overall its the best thing I did moving my mum to the Laurels care home as she is very happy there and recoeves all the care she may need.

In my experience the laurels is a welcoming place, the staff are professional, caring and supportive. The activities team are amazing and provide many opportunities to stimulate the residents, the laundry staff do a great job identifying unlabelled clothes and making sure they get to the right people.
The meals are varied and enjoyed by all .The domestic staff are always on the go unlike some other homes The Laurels always smells fresh and appears clean. The management team interact with residents and visitors, and are approachable if there is any issues, overall myself and my sisters are very happy with the service our father receives.

We brought my Dad into Oakland's for respite care while he recovered from illness and we arranged home care.
The Care he received in the short time he stayed was exemplary, he really was reluctant to go and was looking forward to getting home but he constantly told me how well he was being looked
after.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oakland's to anybody in a similar situation.
