Great staff who take pride in caring for the residents, there is always something going on for them to keep a smile on their faces. Every time I go visit, there is always a member of staff sat in the lounge talking to the residents.

It was very difficult putting my mum into a care home after caring for her myself for 17 years. Highstone Mews exceeded my expectations. My mum is very well cared for and I would highly recommend your home to anyone.

My mum moved into Highstone Mews in May 2023. The staff immediately made my mum feel cared for and relaxed. They take time to work out what is needed for each resident and involve myself and my sister in all aspects of Mum's life in her new home.
We dreaded the time when Mum had to leave her home, but Highstone Mews has exceeded our expectations and Mum is thriving. The dementia wing is relatively small, meaning good staff to resident numbers, something we really value.
Meals and snacks are served regularly, with a variety of homemade hot lunches being a particular highlight of Mum's day.

The cleaning and laundry staff do a brilliant job of keeping the home fresh and clean. All staff have the same priority, the health, comfort and safety of residents.

My dad spent the last 7 months of his life at Highstone Mews. No matter how many unexpected visits I made, the home was always spotless.

It never had a negative odour. The staff were not only brilliant with my dad, looking after his every need, they always made sure me and my family were alright. The food always looked delicious and fresh. I would not hesitate to recommend the home. Having peace of mind knowing your loved one is cared for as good as Dad was meant everything. Thank you.

Mum recently spent two weeks respite at Highstone Mews Care Home. she requires a high level of physical support due to her advance Alzheimer's Highstone Mews provided Mum excellent care. Having been let down by an alternative care home a couple of weeks before our holiday finding a home with the physical aids and support was essential. Highstone Mews were enthusiastic to help and we weren't disappointed. Thank you.

My mother had good care from the immediate care staff, they could not have been better.
However, the practises of the management left a lot to be desired. Labeling my mother as a thief did not go down well, when she never has been - nor is she now she is in her new care home. I think a lot of it was to do with them wanting the room that she was contracted for and wanted to move her into the higher grade dementia unit (more money for them!).
She was/still not is ready for that kind of unit yet, almost twelve months later.

So, the efforts of the carers gets Highstone the score of 5, if it were down to the management it would be a zero.

Best possible care we could have hoped for our mother. All staff are extremely kind and helpful and are on hand anytime they are needed.

Mum says the food is very good. The afternoon tea for the Jubilee for family and friends was wonderful.

Even though the past sixteen months, with the pandemic, has made the care of residents in the home extremely challenging the staff and management have done an admirable job. The home has continued to be a happy, safe and caring environment with good relationships throughout. My mother has always been treated with great care and patience and has always been clean and well looked after. She is always spoken to with respect and dignity and reassured when necessary. Like all residents, she experiences a variety of suitable activities. Also, the management are open, approachable and always helpful with any questions, queries or concerns.

I can’t thank the staff enough for all the love, care and attention they have given my nannan while she has been in their care. The love and support they show towards my mum as well it's amazing. They go above and beyond and really do care about their residents as if they were their own family members. Thank you so so much, Highstone Mews.

As a family, we cannot thank the staff at Highstone Mews enough for the continued care of my Nan. My Nan entered the care home just before the lockdown, this was a very difficult decision for my mum to make however it happened to be the best. Not only have the staff gone above and beyond to make every day fun for the residents they also helped us through the process. Not being able to visit has been tough but the regular updates and the effort they have gone to keep residents in touch with their loved ones throughout the pandemic is nothing short of amazing. Excellent care, very clean and one happy Nan. From the bottom of our hearts thank you.

As a full-time carer and friend to one of the residents now at Highstone Mews I could not be happier with the care that she has been given since leaving mine.
The adjustment has been difficult for us both, and Covid has made it painful in many ways, but the staff's readiness to answers questions on a day to day matter, the importance they put on making sure that each person there feels it is their home. The relaxed use of the phone when you call to speak with your loved one has really put my mind at ease. The building of the POD room for viewing visit, really nice touch.

There is always room for improvement but at Highstone Mews care is not one of them and if I have to name one person who for me is always on point it has to be one of the nurses in Kingstone. A caring nurse and helper who gets the job done.

A care home not only needs good management but also the numbers of carers and a caring, loving attitude of those carers. The staff have been great with my dad who has Alzheimer’s, he became too aggressive to care for at home, but the family were worried how he would be able to cope in a care home. At Highstone Mews, the staff are very caring, they have different activities for them, they are able to walk about if they want to (within the home). My dad may occasionally have an outburst, on the whole, he is calm and happy, which is all down to the staff. I’m so very grateful that my dad ended up at Highstone Mews after being disgusted with his care at another care home that he attended for respite care. Brilliant staff and management.
