Broom Lane Care Home

The staff are of excellent quality and are hand-picked. I have been in quite a few homes in my hometown but this home "takes the biscuit". I think the menu here should be more varied. The home is near the shops which is very handy for me. All my needs are met with a smile and dealt with as quickly. It also has agency professionals on a regular basis - hairdresser, chiropodist etc.

I was recommended to use this care home for my elderly father whilst we were away on holiday. The whole process from review to collection was very uncomplicated and to be recommended. My father is not the easiest of people to deal with, however, his complex requirements were dealt with professionally and with a great deal of care by all staff concerned and should he need to go unto permanent care, then I would have no hesitation in using this facility. Many thanks to all concerned.

My mum-in-law has been a resident here for about 18 months now. The care she has received has been excellent and staff have always gone above and beyond to maintain high standards of care. The staff have given my mum-in-law the motivation to regain her independence and to enhance her well being. We, as a family, are forever grateful for the kindness, care and professionalism.

Each and every member of staff and management provided an unsurpassable level of care and devotion. During my husband's final days, he was surrounded by love and care. Staff came to work early just to check his condition - or stayed late. When their shift took them to another unit, they gave up break times just to pop in to see him. We were never treated like the family of a resident - we were made 'family' of the care home. I will remember each of them with love and gratitude, always nothing was too much trouble or out of budget, if needed, it was paid for.

A 2-hour visit with a resident where he was invited and participated in 4 games of bingo and broke into some Frank Sinatra songs.

My Mum has been in Broom Lane Care Home and I visited her last Tuesday and it was the happiest I have seen her in 3 years. The staff are fantastic. It is clean and the food is really good. Good on-site parking facilities.

Lack of communication with members of staff, losing letters when residents have important appointments and having to rebook, failing to take patients to chemo appts, so sloppy attitude, would not recommend, really gone down so what are you paying more than £2,200 a month.

Warm and friendly and got to know the staff really well - really felt comfortable when visiting. Mum was in for respite care following illness and they made her well again.

Had a nice afternoon with staff who were caring and helpful to all residents and would be pleased to return at any time.

On arrival, I felt an air of happiness straight away, just upon entering through the reception area. On being shown to the location of my friend I noticed this was evident throughout the whole establishment. When mealtime arrived and went, it all happened in a very relaxed and de-regimented fashion, which is good for my friend and everyone concerned. All in all, through necessity, it is a very good place for my friend to be and the future to come.
