My mother was in Moorgate Lodge for two and a half weeks nursing and end-of-life care. Without exception, the staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate and open and frank. They handled all the end-of-life care with a local hospice and went to great lengths to ensure Mum was clean, comfortable
and pain-free in her final days. They also ensured we were well-informed at all times.

My mum transferred here for palliative care, the staff were wonderful. My mum's passing was dignified and calm, she was comfortable and her passing was peaceful. I would certainly recommend Moorgate Lodge. I an my family thank them so much for our mum's care.

My mum was put in this home in September 2023, until she passed away earlier in March 2024. The care and attention she received were excellent from day one. The staff from the manager down to the cleaners was 100% all the time. My mum never wanted anything. The cleanliness at the home was terrific and
the care staff and nurses were terrific. The food she received was always very good and had so many choices. As a visitor, we were always made so welcome by all the staff. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a permanent home.

Having to choose a care home for a parent is so very difficult. Did we choose the right one - yes we did. The care and commitment of the staff was absolutely wonderful, they cannot be thanked enough. Dad was treated with great dignity throughout his stay, right until the very end. Thank you.

My experience is as a visitor and not at meal times so I cannot comment on food and drink, but my sister had problems eating and drinking and the staff were very good in coaxing her over this period. All the staff I have met have been very patient with all the residents as far as I can see. The home
is very clean and the management very approachable. I cannot comment on value for money as this is dealt with by another member of the family.

Moorgate Lodge provided my mum with a safe and caring place for the remaining two months of her life. Mum repeatedly said how much she liked the staff caring for her and appreciated the calm place her room offered. This was visible in how contented she looked, and we as a family cannot praise enough
the Lodge team who showed a considerate commitment towards providing a high quality of care. This provided the opportunity for us as a family to spend priceless time with out Mum and leaves us with a set of memories that will help us come to terms with our loss.

Moorgate Lodge team are diamonds. The best a nursing home can be - they even came to my sister's funeral in their immaculate blue uniforms. They knew my sister's needs and catered for her every need in the short time she was with them (since March 2023). We only wish it could have been longer - not
only did they care for her, they cared for us. We became their family, they became ours. We shall miss our sister, we shall also miss all at Moorgate Lodge - diamonds in every sense! Thank you!

After a lengthy period in hospital and other care facilities, with varying levels of standards of care, my sister-in-law was fortunate to be allocated a place in Moorgate Lodge several weeks ago. Her care has been exceptional, with all staff seeming to have got to know her well and responding to her
needs. Despite her double incontinence she has always appeared to be clean and comfortable. More importantly, she is happy that she is 'home' at last.

My first impression was excellent regarding the building and staff. Over time my opinion has not changed. The staff are approachable, friendly and very professional. From day one of Mum's moving into Moorgate Lodge, we knew we had found the correct care for Mum. The home is beautiful. The staff, well, I can't praise them enough. Caring and professional, keep us informed at every stage of Mum's care. The rapper Mum has with everyone is a delight to see. I cannot

From the moment we walked into Moorgate Lodge, we felt welcome. The manager was professional and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The care given to my father was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond their duties. Moorgate Lodge felt like a "home", not an institution. Staff supported
my elderly mother and the family when they visited with my father with such kindness. Thank you for making my father's remaining months so comfortable.

I find the staff are all very caring and treat the residents and visitors very well. At times it appears that there is a shortage of staff. Perhaps there could be more things done to stimulate the patients instead of just sitting and watching TV, although I appreciate that not all residents want to

I visit my friend several times each week. On all occasions it is apparent that he is being well cared for, regularly washed and changed and kept as comfortable as possible.
2 members of staff have become very friendly with my friend and go above and beyond to make sure he is looked after.
On the
very few occasions that my friend has had an issue, it has been dealt with promptly and fully.
Although he would obviously rather not be in the home, my friend is well-settled and comfortable in his surroundings. This is mainly due to the care staff who look after him.

She brings a plethora of care skills to her role as Nursing Home Manager at Moorgate Lodge and we are indeed lucky to have her. Lisa has built an impressive CV over the years, with both the NHS and the private sector and we are supremely confident that the needs of our clients are very safe in her hands, however challenging they may be. Her insatiable appetite for continuous professional development has served her well, whilst demonstrating the ability to turn around negative situations she has been faced with into positives, a skill set never needed more than in recent times that we all know only too well.
