My mum received end of life care in Moorgate Lodge from June until she passed away at the beginning of October. The care she received was never less than outstanding and the staff were some of the kindest and most dedicated professionals you could wish to meet. I would just like to say thank you for
everything they did to make my mum comfortable during her stay. Way beyond any expectations.

Dad has been here almost 5 weeks now. The care he is receiving is outstanding. I would recommend anyone who is in need of residential or nursing care for their loved one to come home. the nurses and carers are all so very pleasant and nice.

Very impressed with the care my wife has received since her admission to this nursing home at the end of May. The staff have been very helpful and informative and my wife's condition has improved noticeably. All the staff have been cheerful and friendly.

Moorgate Lodge is a welcoming, clean, happy and pleasant home. Every single staff member I have come into contact with are cheerful and friendly, professional, accommodating and genuinely appear happy in their work. From the day of my mother's arrival, she has been treated as an individual, with dignity
and respect by staff who genuinely do care and will go the extra mile to ensure people are feeling comfortable, happy and settled. Thank you to everybody at Moorgate Lodge for all your care, hard work and support. It is greatly appreciated.

My dad was in Moorgate Lodge for a week having been transferred from hospital with terminal stomach cancer.
He received outstanding care during the time he was with you and was made to feel so comfortable and unafraid. He passed away on 01.03.2022.

My husband was in Moorgate Lodge for only one week suffering from stomach cancer. The care he received was outstanding, he felt so comfortable. The nurses were so caring towards him, also they were so kind and welcoming to me. He was in the lodge from 22/02/22 - 01/03/22.

My mother was transferred to Moorgate Lodge care home after a spell in hospital. From the very first day, she was treated with kindness, dignity and wonderful care from the amazing staff. Mum is very settled here and it is our wish as a family that she remains here as her permanent home. The staff are
always cheerful and extremely kind and nothing is too much trouble. This home is a happy comfortable environment.

I cannot rate this nursing home high enough. The care my dearly beloved mum received from her first arriving at Moorgate Lodge right up to her sad passing was truly second to none. She was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by all staff, who went above and beyond to ensure she maintained her
usual high personal standard. I found it reassuring and heartwarming how much they genuinely care, and could not have been more relieved and grateful that she was in their care.


I, like most daughters, wanted to care for Mum at home, though over time it became more and more apparent that in the best interest of her welfare, her needs could only be met by her going into a care home. And as my dad had some 10 years earlier had had the best care, she had always said that should the time come that she need to go into a nursing home, Moorgate Lodge was the place she wanted to go.


I now have the peace of mind knowing that my precious mum had the best care possible.

My mum is really happy and well cared for. Good staff and good facilities.
I would certainly recommend this home to other people. I would also like to mention the food is of a good standard and Mum always enjoys it. Overall, highly recommended.

When a resident has had her hair done at the hairdressers, she doesn't need her hair washing again until the next hair appointment which is every week, otherwise waste of money and frizzy hair!
One more small point, meals are fabulous but sometimes some vegetables are not cooked enough and so cannot
be eaten. Most old people have dentures! These are valuable points but overall if this is where I was to end my days, I would be quite happy.

My dad had the best people looking after him throughout his stay; I cannot praise them enough! The home is clean and secure. I knew he was in the best place throughout the pandemic. I was always made to feel welcome when I visited my dad, and I was most impressed with how welcome they made his sister
whenever she visited. All in all, a wonderful establishment!

The management and admin staff are always friendly, polite and helpful and always find time to talk to me whenever I have queries about my wife's current condition. The nursing and caring staff are excellent, cheerful and helpful at all times. Due to COVID, I haven't seen much of the facilities but
the lounge furniture is tired and needs smarting up.

She brings a plethora of care skills to her role as Nursing Home Manager at Moorgate Lodge and we are indeed lucky to have her. Lisa has built an impressive CV over the years, with both the NHS and the private sector and we are supremely confident that the needs of our clients are very safe in her hands, however challenging they may be. Her insatiable appetite for continuous professional development has served her well, whilst demonstrating the ability to turn around negative situations she has been faced with into positives, a skill set never needed more than in recent times that we all know only too well.
