Alpine Lodge

Our good friend and neighbour has just had 12-days in Alpine Lodge for respite. We cannot believe how happy she was. I called to see her, and she looked happy. They care above and beyond; they even rang me the day after she was home, just checking on her, (bless them). I can't recommend this care home enough; thanks to you all.

Very happy with the care Dad is given at Alpine Lodge. Staff are on the ball and know Dad and his little ways. Highly recommended.

A lovely home with caring staff. It feels like being on holiday. The food is very good and there's plenty of it. I really enjoy helping the staff with little jobs like gardening.

Dad is very much a home bird and when asked, he would prefer to stay at home but knows he needs help and does like being here. He has been very happy on his trips out as he loves to sit and have a ride. He enjoys his three meals a day and has a good relationship with the staff, whose company he enjoys too. He also enjoys sitting in the garden.

I visit once a week and found it very pleasant. The carers are polite and obliging. I would recommend it to anybody.

I have always found the staff to be very polite and caring towards my friend, the home is clean and tidy and has plenty going on to keep residents busy and happy, even in these trying times, it's nice to still be able to see loved ones albeit from a distance. I feel my friend's care needs are being met very well, and there has been quite a few improvements over the fast months for the better. I would happily recommend Alpine Lodge, it's a great atmosphere in general, my friend enjoys the food too which she says is very good.

Have always found the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. My brother is very happy in the care home, and that speaks volumes.

Overall, an excellent level of care. The home is very clean, bright and well maintained. The Manager and Staff are lovely, caring and friendly. There are plenty of activities to meet everyone's needs and the residents are clean, tidy and seem very happy with their surroundings. The rooms are very nice too. The food looks really nutritious with a good menu to choose from. Residents' families are made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

My grandfather has been here for 3 years now and our family cannot thank the staff enough for the care they give him. We are confident that during these extremely difficult times that he is being cared for with dignity and respect as always. Big thank you to all the carers.

My mums complex behaviours have always been dealt with in a calm and empathetic way and the atmosphere at Alpine is always pleasant and welcoming.

I just wish to say that my mother has been treated with care, kindness and dignity throughout her time at Alpine Lodge. The staff always seem friendly and helpful and show lots of patience towards my mother even when she is having " an off day". I am very grateful to them all for looking after my mother so well. I know she can be very difficult at times, but they never seem fazed by anything she does or says. Thank you, so much, to you all.

From the moment my mother-in-law needed full-time nursing care, we could not have found a nicer home. As soon as she was transferred from the Hospital she was met by the most caring staff who made her feel as if she was home from home. She was treated with the utmost care and attention, with dignity and compassion. For which we were eternally grateful, even up to the end. Whilst visiting, we were always met with smiling faces of both staff and residents, it was always clean and fresh and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We can only say we appreciated all you did in caring for Mum whilst she was in your care. Thank you all.

My Mother in Law was greeted with smiles and reassurance. her room is small but extremely clean with en-suite. All her needs are catered for by friendly capable staff. The food is good and she enjoyed her lunch.

My 89-year-old mother had to go into Alpine Lodge after suffering numerous falls at home and needing full-time nursing care. I spoke to the manager at Alpine who reassured me that my mother would be well looked after there. My mother went in the day before Good Friday where she was met at the door by very welcoming staff. Obviously, I have not been able to go into the home due to the Coronavirus situation, but upon seeing the reception area, it looked lovely, clean and smelt very fresh. Since her going in, I have been kept fully up to date on her well-being by the manager and deputy manager. The staff I have seen from a distance all look very friendly and very caring, and I am very satisfied that she is being cared for. I have nothing but praise for Alpine Lodge and would recommend it to anyone.

Mum was accepted into Alpine Lodge yesterday afternoon, and I must say that the staff couldn't have made this any easier for us or mum. They were understanding, helpful and very respectful when settling mum in, and have done everything possible considering our current Covid19 climate.

My mum is treated with dignity and patience. She reports enjoying her food, and the staff are caring. It's clean and comfortable.

We had to move very quickly to secure my mum's safety and everything was handled professionally and effortlessly especially during this incredibly difficult time with Covid-19 around. My first impressions are fantastic.

This attitude is displayed by all staff, nurses, cleaning staff, catering staff, office staff and carers alike. I would recommend Alpine Lodge and have done so in the past, my mother-in-law was also a resident in the home and received the same high care as that of my mother. Under normal circumstances the staff work flat out under challenging circumstances so goodness knows how they are managing to do such a terrific job with the current restrictions. My sincerest praise and thanks go out to all staff, my gratitude difficult to put into words. Thank you so much.

In this uncertain time that we find ourselves in, I am reassured to know mum is in safe hands where she is. The staff are always so very nice and caring, and my family and I can’t thank them enough for looking after mum for us, not only now, but all of the time.
