The staff were fantastic throughout my mother's stay of 7 months there is no doubt that they enhanced her quality of life. I cannot thank you enough.

My wife has been a resident of Broomcroft for over 11 years and the care and attention she has received has been second to none. The staff at all levels show great commitment to their various tasks but not only have I seen such commitment being shown towards my wife, they have shown it also to myself.

Obviously, I regret the fact that my wife is in a care home, but I bless the day I chose Broomcroft. I cannot speak highly enough about the Home.

The activities co-ordinator had arranged (along with the chef) for a French meal for residents and family/friends to round off a week where activities had all been connected with France. The dining room was beautifully set out with imitation named passports and Eiffel Tower postcards as well as being decorated red, white and blue. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere had Edith Piaf singing in the background. It provided much interest for discussion at the table. Staff wore berets, scarves and of course onions and had gone to a lot of trouble (as always) to make the day memorable. Well done and 'thank you'.

My wife and I have visited our friend in this care home on three occasions.
Our friend suffers from a severe form of Alzheimer's and the treatment he receives from all staff is really really good.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Great patience is shown at meal times considering he is bed bound most of the time and can't feed himself.
Cleanliness and security seem to be 100 per cent perfect.

We feel very happy that our friend is being cared for with compassion and dignity.

Broomcroft House Care Home provided the best possible care for my mum from September 2013 to her death in May 2017. Following a serious stroke, she needed full-time nursing care and in spite of her health problems and disability, the staff enabled her to enjoy her life there. For three and a half years we were always grateful we had Broomcroft House to be my mother's home. She could not have had better care and attention.

For nearly six years now I have been a regular visitor coming on average about four times a week over that period. The atmosphere has always been welcoming and friendly. I have stayed for meals and the food has always been excellent. The whole place has always seemed spotless and the care shown of the highest standard.
The grounds are well cared for and the residents are able to enjoy sitting outside in fine weather.

At times there needs to be more staff on duty for their workload

Broomcroft Care home is the best home anyone could wish to be in. The staff and everyone who works there are so lovely and helpful, fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble and they work so hard. They are all lovely to me and our daughters, always a cup of tea when we go in, it is my second home. I go every day to see my husband of 55 years, he is kept so clean and the home is spotlessly clean and never any smells, like some.

My friends, neighbours and family say if they had to be in a home, please make it Broomcroft when they've been with me to visit.

I came into Broomcroft in August 2011. From the first few hours, I was made to feel comfortable and happy. As well as working hard, all the staff enjoy a joke and a bit of fun. Visitors are made very welcome and my physiotherapist says this is one of the very best care homes she visits. The food is excellent. The chef regularly asks if there is any food I would like.

On entering the premises I was amazed there was no smell of urine or disinfectant. All the building is very clean and airy. The staff were all very friendly and observant to the residents needs. All happy and attentive towards the people of different degrees of illness. The stimulation towards patients was varied and the carers always knew which stimulates suites each one and all. I was there for the dinner time and the food was imaginative and colourful and very palatable.

We were very disappointed in the care mum received. Poor management structure. Don't be fooled by the fancy curtains and decor, all is not what it seems. Research other homes before making a decision.
Bupa are not the easiest organisation to deal with, their communication is shocking.

Fees do not represent the standard of service and care that is expected.

I have been at Bupa for 6 years. I originally came to work in the care sector in 2012, where I first worked in care in the community. I love helping people and caring for those most vulnerable in our society. I feel it is my chance to give back to those who have gone through so much in order for us to have the lives we have now.

In my spare time, I love taking long walks with my dog and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy travelling and visiting new places.

I’m Melissa and I've worked at Broomcroft House since 2014 - as a care assistant for four years, before becoming the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant six years ago.

I did a teaching degree at the University in Wales to teach Special Educational Needs (SEN). I started doing care in the community and found that care was what I wanted to do as a career. I did care in the community until 2014 in Wales and then moved home to Sheffield and decided that I’d like to work in a care home setting. I changed roles in 2018 for a new challenge as expanding my knowledge base is important to me. I love it!

I live in Sheffield; my family and I are from the local area. I have been married for nearly five years and spend my free time with my husband and those closest to me making memories.

I am passionate about singing and am often found on the Karaoke however I also like quiet nights in with a film and popcorn.

I’ve worked in finance since leaving school at 16 years old. I nursed my late mother at home for 6 years and looked after my then 2-year-old son. I have worked at Bupa for 16 years and love working here, as I love caring for people.

I live about 7 miles away from Broomcroft House, with my husband and our 18-year-old son. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy travelling to different breweries and real ale festivals. Our family are all keen Sheffield United supporters and love going to the home & away matches as season ticket holders.

My background is working with children - I started off as a childminder and also worked in a school; I have always loved caring for people. I like working in care services as I love to see the residents smile and laugh, and know that the activities we do make a difference to their lives.

I have two children, and live locally to the home. In my spare time I enjoy spending it with my family and going on weekends away!
