My father was badly affected by dementia when he first arrived at Chatsworth Grange. This caused both him and us great anxiety when we handed his care to the Chatsworth team. However, we very quickly found that he was so well looked after and comfortable and a large burden of guilt and foreboding was very quickly lifted from us. My father enjoyed the last 15 months of his life in their care, and I know both he and we soon started to feel like they were part of his extended family. I cannot thank or praise them enough for what they did, and the rest of the family all feel the same.

Sadly I cannot recommend Chatsworth Grange. The culture is like something I have never experienced before. There are some good, genuine care staff but, unfortunately, my mum’s basic care needs were not always met. Concerns were not dealt with openly and honestly by management, there was no compassion or person-centred care. The bedding supplied is not adequate, especially in winter. There are no trips out to shops, garden centres or botanical gardens like it says on the website. My mum was a full fee-paying customer, when her funds dropped below the threshold I was asked to pay an unaffordable top up fee. I had no option but to move her to another home.

The only concern I had was male carers doing personal care when states in the care plan that doesn't want males. I discussed this matter with the ward nurse and she said she would deal with it. I thought the fact she dealt with this straight away was good. Good size rooms, privacy when needed. Good overall care, would benefit from more one-to-one with residents in bed - interaction. Friendly staff, all staff and nurses on Litton are caring and helpful.

My grandad has been in nursing care at Chatsworth Grange Nursing Home for several months. All staff and management are excellent, everyone is friendly, welcoming and professional. Grandad is treated with love, kindness and dignity which I find to be important to us as a family. Activities are very good which included sing-a-longs and entertainers. The nursing home would be unable to run without all the hard work of the domestic, laundry, kitchen and maintenance staff do, their work is often overlooked but is very much appreciated. I would recommend Chatsworth Grange Nursing Home, having used another one for another relative. Keep up the good work.

Every time I have visited my uncle, with my husband, staff have been courteous, polite, helpful, attentive and obliging. They have been very caring, friendly and jokey in an appropriate manner to my uncle who responds well to them (when he's awake)! He always speaks highly of his carers.

Dad has been in Chatsworth Grange for over 12 months, and I am more than happy with his care. If I have had any issues, I have been able to see the relevant person to sort my concerns out. With Dad's condition, I can imagine him to be a handful at times, but he is always treated with the care and respect he deserves and is always clean and tidy. Overall, the maintenance of the home is good, but like everything that is used a lot, it could do with new fixtures and fittings here and there. The garden space is good but could do with an overhead shelter for when it's hot and wider footpaths for when you are taking your loved one out in their chairs. I personally would like to thank all the staff for the help and care you gave to Dad and the other residents. Well done.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments, and I will pass them on to the staff. We have now purchased two umbrellas for outside, and they will be put up outside by the end of the week.

Everything is kept very clean and tidy. Because he has dementia, he is unable to fill in this form or properly comment. I am his partner and think that he has settled into the care home very quickly, The carers are very nice and helpful, but unless he is told what to do and led to various places, I think he misses out on things like the entertainment which is on another floor. He does like company, so he should be encouraged to join in.

Thank you very much for your very positive response, and I will pass on your comments to the staff.
Also, to put your mind at ease, entertainment is also carried out on the units so that he doesn't miss out.

Thank you.

My mum went to Chatsworth Grange Nursing Home in July 2020, she needed nursing care. With the pandemic no one was allowed to visit and I had to shield. My brothers and I kept in touch by phone. The nursing team kept me informed about Mum. Eventually, I was allowed to see her in a hub. I am now allowed to go in as long as I take the Covid test. The staff are very good, helpful and most of all look after my mum. They have all worked so very hard. I cannot thank them enough.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. The staff team have continued to work so very hard during the pandemic, aiming to keep everyone safe, plus at the same time being cheerful and energetic, hoping to lift everyone's mood.

My dad moved into Chatsworth Grange from hospital in January. He received excellent care delivered with dignity and love before his passing. That support also extended to me whilst I spent the last few days with my dad.

We as a family can't thank the Manager and the staff team enough.

My grandad moved into Chatsworth Grange in December just before Christmas and sadly passed away recently. I had not seen my grandad for 3 months prior to the move to Chatsworth and I was so happy to receive video calls and be able to wave to him through his window. The manager and her staff team go above and beyond and made us feel at ease knowing my grandad was being looked after. We could sleep at night knowing he was well cared for. Highly recommended.

If you want to put your loved ones in a home and forget about them then this is the place for you. This is a very closed culture home, Bondcare in general is, and asking for information about your loved one is not seen in a positive way. I have no concerns about the care staff but the management team are something else. They take no ownership and don’t seem to value the family unit.

My husband has not been there long and I have been unable to go inside because of Covid, but when I go to visit, all staff have been extremely nice and informative as to what my husband has been like. I phone every day to make sure he's OK and all staff are polite and informative (they must get fed up with me).

Amazing care home. We moved my mother recently from another care home not too far from Chatsworth Grange, which we found care standards unacceptable. We couldn't be happier with the care here. Lots of activities visit well socially distance and amazingly helpful staff. We highly recommend Chatsworth Grange home.

My mother has been in Chatsworth Grange for 15months and during that time has received excellent care and attention, second to none. Everyone is so attentive and friendly towards us all, when we arrive to see her she is happy and smiling. It is nice to know that she is so well cared for and that her husband is content knowing she is well looked after.

Some of the staff go above and beyond whilst others don't seem to give the time of day to residents. I have been sat in the room with my mum and staff have bought her meal in and just put it down on her table and walked out. A little conversation wouldn't hurt. When I have been there when it's not meal times, no one has ever just popped in or put their heads in to check her.

We are delighted with the care received by our mum at Chatsworth Grange. The caring staff are superb and supported by a responsive and caring management team. Although the rooms aren't very big, the way in which the care is given more than makes up for that. All staff encountered - including peripheral team members - seem dedicated and hardworking.
