Mum did not want to move into a care home, but her safety meant it was the only option. From day one she settled into Henleigh Hall Care Home and quickly started to enjoy all the social activities, meaning she was kept active and occupied. I am so impressed with all the staff who are so caring and nothing is too much trouble. The activity coordinator works so have and it is lovely being able to see what Mum has been doing when the photos are shared. I cannot speak highly enough of Henleigh Hall Care Home.
We cannot recommend Henleigh Hall Care Home enough! The staff are friendly, caring, knowledgable and totally professional. They looked after my father superbly during his stay there. Their welcome was always warm and positive and the family will always be grateful.
All the staff we came into contact with (from management to nursing staff and non-nursing staff) were extremely helpful and kind to me and my father. Nothing was too much for them and fulfilled all our requests and needs (including another cuppa). From the moment he arrived to the moment he passed away and beyond, everyone at Henleigh Hall had my fathers interest as their priority. Thank you, Henleigh Hall.
My mum went to Henleigh Hall in June 2021 for a respite stay. As a family, we have all been so impressed with the care and kindness shown to my mum (and to us!). Every single member of staff we met has been so friendly and welcoming and we very quickly felt reassured that Mum was in good hands. The staff are all so helpful and cheerful and their closeness as a team creates a lovely family atmosphere. I would wholeheartedly recommend Henleigh Hall.
Activities are planned daily - music, exercise, comparing experiences with other residents. All is approved there is no compulsion to do it. Very well trained and efficient carers are always encouraging us. Thank you all.
Plenty of activities and entertainment.
Lovely outlook.
The best thing is they help me to do what I want to do. They treat me as part of their family. They keep me safe during Covid.
I can not recommend Henleigh highly enough! Lovely building but it’s all about the staff!! Everything is about making sure everyone is comfortable and entertained! How these guys think up the variety of events etc that they do and still do the practical stuff is beyond me! I’ve been on cruises that didn’t have such a great entertainment team! As well as supporting my Mum-in-Law there is always someone with time to support me too, very important during covid! Can’t fault this wonderful home and awesome team!
I have joined the closed Facebook group and really appreciate seeing all the photos of all the lovely activities that are arranged, and I also see the weekly newsletter email.
The empathy and true care that is shown through these media’s really help to reassure me that my Mother is well, happy and truly cared for. Thank you
Since Mum has been there she has received nothing but the very best of care. The staff have handled the Covid-19 crisis with nothing but the utmost professionalism and they have done everything humanly possible to keep us connected to our loved ones.
Because we can’t currently visit I am always calling the home to check on things and the staff are always really friendly and nothing has been too much trouble for them whatever time of day I have called or what I’ve been asking. Even email communication is replied to within a couple of hours with full and detailed responses.
I can’t recommend the manager and her team of angels highly enough and I look forward to getting to know them better once lockdown eases.
My parents have lived at Henleigh Hall for 18-months. I have always appreciated the care they received from the whole team. If I have ever had any concerns or questions these have been listened to and dealt with promptly. Unfortunately, my Dad deteriorated 3-weeks into Covid-19 lockdown and was on end of life care. The manager and staff handled this time professionally and with great understanding and compassion. Under strict protocols, my brother and I were able to spend time with Dad and support Mum. My Dad was nursed with care, respect and dignity until he passed away. My Mum has continued to be supported with love and care in her bereavement at a time when we can't visit. Communication with the family has been excellent. The experience and ethos of the leadership team are evident in the team they manage. Carers take the time to see residents as the people they are, to know more about their lives and characters. The nursing care is outstanding. It's quite a special place.
The staff have worked hard to enable the residents to feel safe and cared for during the Covid pandemic. They have enabled video calls, emails and set up a social media group to keep us all in contact with our loved ones at Henleigh Hall. Thank you for looking after our loved ones especially well at the difficult time for us all. I shall be clapping for you on Thursday.
My wife is so content and is feeling that this is her new home where we are all made to feel welcome.
Nothing is perfect, but with an extra push in certain areas, the home would achieve an excellent rating. A good choice was made by the family in difficult circumstances. A big thank you from maintenance to manager.
My mother came to Henleigh Hall Care Home seven weeks ago and settled in quite well in a very short time. She has been very complimentary about the care she receives, how pleasant the carers are, the food she has and the choices. Mum does join in with some of the activities and enjoys the singalong sessions, the quizzes and the exercise sessions. Following the recent closure, I expected mum to be a bit down when I was able to visit again but she wasn't, she said she had been looked after very well.
My mother has been at Henleigh Hall for nearly two years and is very settled and content. All the staff are open and friendly and communication with families is very good. I feel staff know my mother really well and support all her needs skillfully.
Helpful staff.
Pleasant setting; with good reception rooms.
Variety of room to relax in, and plenty of activities.
Welcoming reception.
Friendly atmosphere.
Mum loves the activities and is always the first one there. Food is excellent. Overall, I have no complaints, and I know that for my mum this is now her new home and she is more than happy with this.
Dad states that the care he receives is good. We as relatives have been impressed by the staff's quick response to any concerns we have. We wonder how his care needs are met when we are not there. The staff had lost his own wheelchair and cushion (only to be used by him), though we think it is now found. The food could be a bit more tempting to him, whose appetite is often very poor, he has swallowing problems. My sister has noted that his bathroom has been unclean at times. It is good that activities are available, and he can at least hear the singing from his room, where he mostly stays in bed. We are glad that he has been out in his wheelchair occasionally.
Thank you for your review of our home. We are glad to hear that you are impressed with how our team have dealt with your concerns so far. Our Magic Moments Club team offers a whole range of fun activities and pastimes which are open to all residents, please do pop in for a chat with our team on...
The home is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My dad is well looked after by all the staff nurses, and it has been wonderful to see Dad up and about during the day and joining in with activities. My only concern is the standard of the food, which seems similar to hospital food.
It’s great to hear you think our home is warm and inviting and find the team friendly and helpful. At Henleigh Hall, we pride ourselves in the high level of service we provide. This includes our food and dining experience, our menus are regularly reviewed and updated following feedback from...
