Both my parents lived at Henleigh Hall and they were looked after so well. All the staff were friendly and polite and caring as well as professional. There was always a lovely atmosphere in the home and whenever I visited I was always made welcome. I was very happy entrusting the care of my parents to the staff at Henleigh Hall.
It's so good to hear that both your parents had a great experience at Henleigh Hall. The team are so lovely and friendly and I can totally agree with your comments about the lovely atmosphere. Feeling that you can trust the team is so important, so it is wonderful to hear that you felt happy doing...
The staff are always friendly and caring.
There are plenty of activities to keep the residents entertained.
I have been very impressed by the attitude and commitment of the staff, a number of whom have been at Henleigh Hall since it opened. The management team is accessible and involved, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Relatives are involved in care planning. I'm especially impressed by the range of activities on offer and the way residents are included in the day-to-day life of the home. As a relative, I feel welcomed, and my mother is treated with dignity, respect and understanding.
The staff are very friendly and are always at hand to help.
A remarkable level of care as all carers and nurses immediately know my mother and her condition.
All the staff are working and friendly.
It is so relaxing. Staff very kind.
Very good. Lovely staff.
Henleigh were so obliging and responded immediately to our urgent request for care for my elderly mother whose complex health condition was deteriorating, finding mum a lovely room in the space of only 48 hours notice. We couldn't have been more relieved. The nursing staff and carers were excellent. The staff were always caring, treating mum with dignity and respect. They made her comfortable and dealt with her medical condition exceptionally well. There was always nursing staff on hand who were visible to discuss mums medical needs and treatment. My elderly father, who could visit mum, knowing that she was being well cared for and the staff, made him feel welcome every time he visited. Unfortunately, mums condition deteriorated and she passed away in the nursing home, however, the staff once again made everything so much easier. They handled my mothers last few days professionally and with a great deal of compassion. This is a well run nursing home with fantastic staff.
My mother has been a resident of Henleigh Hall since two months after the home was opened. I have been extremely happy with her care, treatment and the respect that she has been shown, throughout her residency. For the last 18 months, I would rate the aspects of the home's performance in relation to my mum to be higher than ever. This is incredibly pleasing and a testament to everyone. The affection she is shown by her lead carer, management and all staff (new and old) is first class.
Henleigh Hall provided good respite care with little notice for 18 days/nights when my wife left hospital after a stroke which left her with a number of issues, including aphasia in particular. The staff were kind and helpful to us both. We were shown around one evening and a visit was made to the hospital prior to her arrival. The home was great at allowing the aftercare team from our local hospital to come in. The nurses have been good with her as well as most of the general staff.
A well-staffed home, with a good number of staff and of different grades.
Pleasant rooms.
Any issues with care provision seem to be resolved promptly. Social provision is good but is a bit limited for those who have no cognitive impairment.
We pride ourselves on having a wide range of stimulating activities that are suitable for the different needs we cater for at Henleigh Hall and I am sorry that, on this occasion, you...
I have never had the care I found here anywhere before. The carers are very hard working, always cheerful and laugh with one another. It is lovely to see them working as one team.
Excellent care standards and carers, nurseries and all staff were our rock and so good with looking after my grandmother.
I am always greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Everyone knows me and that is a nice feeling. Mum (98 years old) is happy and safe. She is included in many activities which is fun and her room is in a position which looks out to the main entrance so she sees who is coming and going and across the railway line to the woods - perfect (and everyone has to pass her room to see other residents on Loxley Wing.
My parents had very different needs. Our family was relieved that Henleigh Hall could accommodate them both, though after 67 years of marriage my father has recently passed away. The staff always listened to his demands and carried out his wishes whether plans for gardens or a favourite delicacy - 'dripping and soft bread cakes'.
I want my relatives to be happy, with interesting food, be in cleaned, ironed clothes, to see and interact in activities - and they are. With many varied events happening this is a new life, with nurses carers and management equally available for residents and families. Definitely recommend.
I visit this home to see my resident about six times a year.
I am not related, nor will I be a beneficiary.
I think the standard of care is above average.
Overall experience is good. Staff are very pleasant but struggle to answer the buzzers in a reasonable time on occasions.
Staff have always been helpful, friendly and professional.
Decor and furnishings are lovely, giving a very 'homely' feeling.
A very good balance of pastoral and nursing care.
As Mum says, 'Everyone is very kind', and for my siblings and I, this is the most important aspect of life at Henleigh, particularly when we all know that Mum's dementia can sometimes make her very difficult to care for.
