Helpful and caring for my family.

Everyone at Henleigh Hall who has been involved with my uncle's care has been professional, compassionate and gone the extra mile! Even during some difficult times we have felt supported. The home really is a home from home. The activities/outings etc are varied and it is lovely to see staff encouraging
the residents to get out and about. Brilliant work team and thank you!

My sister has only been in for 2 months and has settled in very well and seems happy here. All the staff are very kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. Very professional, friendly, lots going on where staff are supportive and encourage residents to take part. Care carried out kindly and efficiently.


Staff will "go the extra mile" when asked. Rooms need redecorating (and corridors) but kept clean and usually tidy. Occasional issues e.g buzzer not

on mum's chair but left on the bed across the room, no towels, have to be addressed. Some communication between different areas and getting messages through can be a problem.
The atmosphere is calm, positive and welcoming and caring nature of the home is evident.

I have been a visitor to a dear friend in this home since Henleigh Hall opened.
I liked it then and it is very good now. My friends always settled easily and were happy here.
Highly recommended.
On point for all homes and always needed is a receptionist. The first person you meet, not to just
unlock the door but when well experienced will sort out many a problem.

My grandma has lived at Henleigh Hall for just over 2 years and the transition from home to here has been super. Her room is light and cheerful with things of her own to make links to her own house. Staff are kind, patient, caring and friendly. My family and I trust in their care and Grandma is happy
and safe. In emergencies they have been excellent; thorough care provided. Thank you, Henleigh Hall and staff. It means so much that she is happy.

From the first time I attended the home to see if it was the right place for my dad, I felt happy and confident after seeing and speaking with staff that it was.
No matter what time I visit the home the staff are committed to the residents and their families and because of this, the health and well-being
of the residents are catered for.
This is evident in the massive improvements my dad has made since being there, namely his physical state and mental state.
He is more outgoing than he has been for years.
They do good work and work well as a team.

Mum going into Henleigh Hall has helped her and all our family immensely. People had been advocating her care to be in her home, but we were getting nowhere with this and mum was getting worse.
Henleigh Hall has improved mums life so much by providing company, activities and security as we know she
is in safe hands. This has enabled our family to get back peace of mind, especially at night time.

My grandmother has been at Henleigh Hall Care Home for nearly three years and is still better healthwise now than she was four years ago. Mum has been in Henleigh for five years and has been cared for to a high standard. She suffers with agitated depression and they fully understand this. Her moods change and she is frail but she is happy and as safe as possible

Kelly

Kelly Hodgson

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2012

Kelly Hodgson has been dedicated to healthcare since leaving school, gaining experience across care homes, hospitals, and community settings. She studied at Sheffield Hallam University, earning an Advanced Diploma in Nursing Studies (adult nursing). Kelly joined Henleigh Hall in 2012 as a registered nurse, progressed to the role of unit sister, and became Deputy Manager in 2023 before stepping into the Home Manager role later that year.


Outside of work, Kelly loves spending time outdoors, especially on sunny days. She enjoys walking her two dogs, camping, and visiting the seaside. Her greatest achievement outside of work is having her children.


Kelly emphasises that Henleigh Hall is more than just a care home; it’s a family. She finds joy in the variety each day brings and encourages those considering a career in care to understand that while the work can be challenging, it is incredibly rewarding.
