Fully deserving of its excellent reviews, awards and CQC Grade - Ashcroft has a very pleasant atmosphere and staff.
Ashcroft is lovely, it feels more like a hotel than a care home, it’s nicely decorated with a lovely garden area. From us having to make the difficult decision to put Mum in a care home after 4 years of caring for her, the moment we walked through the door at Ashcroft we knew we were doing the right thing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, so many members of staff have really taken the time to get to know mum well. Visits are really enjoyable and some staff already feel like family. Since Mum’s dementia has progressed she has become a very anxious person and often gets upset and needs lots of reassurance, we feel a sense of relief knowing Mum’s being cared for with dignity and respect in a safe, clean, happy, well-run environment. Keep up the great work and thank you.
I have been visiting my life-long friend who has been a resident at Ashcroft since October 2022. I am very happy to see her settled and comfortable and extremely well cared for now she has had to leave her home. The staff are very welcoming and courteous and obviously very caring to their residents. Thank you for all you do to make this a home-from-home!
We have been visiting my auntie here since last October. She is always happy, well looked after. The staff are wonderful, cheerful, obviously, know each person. They look after visitors too, always offering a drink and a chat. I know that my auntie is really happy living here.
From the cleaners, reception staff right up to management, the whole atmosphere of the home is putting residents' needs and happiness first. Any concerns raised are addressed promptly and efficiently, The home has a happy welcoming atmosphere and is always a pleasure to visit.
Was encouraged to see how staff interacted with residents and how they appeared to enjoy the event.
Good care home. Staff are friendly. Sometimes personal care of the service user could be improved, i.e. teeth brushed, shave.
Thank you for taking the time to review Ashcroft we appreciate your comments in regards to the friendly staff and the home overall. Our residents are at the heart of what we do and take personal care extremely seriously. Please feel free to speak to the home at a mutually convenient time if you wish to discuss anything further.
My mum has settled well into Ashcroft. The staff are all very friendly, professional, kind and helpful. It's very reassuring to know that our mother is being so well cared for. The food is all delicious and homemade. We are very pleased our mother is in such a lovely home and would highly recommend Ashcroft as a caring care home.
I feel a sense of relief knowing my auntie is being well cared for and in safe hands. The staff are lovely and take time to get to know you and your family. I love the new cafe upstairs, the home is always lovely and clean. Always a warm welcome from the minute of coming through the door.
I visit my friend at Ashcroft on a weekly basis, all of the staff are kind, caring and considerate to both me and my friend. They go above and beyond, nothing is too much for the staff and they always have a smile on their face. They do an amazing job even though it is hard at times for them. Ashcroft really is a home from home, you can not ask for more than a happy, safe environment that is always welcoming to everyone. Can not thank them enough, highly recommend.
I have lived at Ashcroft for a while now. The staff are brilliant. And funny. We have a good time. I still get to go out and about and the staff supported me to get ready for a holiday to see my sister. I was sad to leave my holiday but my welcome home was fabulous and I am glad to be back at Ashcroft. Everyone works so hard to make us happy in the home. I am glad I chose Ashcroft
When visiting my grandad, I noticed that he was clean-shaven, had clean clothes on and looked happy and settled. I know it's been and is a battle for staff to get him to have regular showers and change his clothes, so I appreciate the time and effort given to my grandad. Staff are doing an amazing job, and my grandad appears happy and settled. Please keep up the good work, and thank you very much.
I have only praise for the staff and the care home in general. My mum said she was in a posh hotel. They looked after her like she was their own family, she was happy and I certainly was relieved of worry and stress because of how they looked after her and made her happy and comfortable. I will be forever grateful. Sincere thanks.
I have always found the staff very friendly and do an amazing job looking after my mum in law they attend to her every need, the activities they do are great to stimulate her and others and the meals look amazing the staff are always polite and helpful I highly recommend.
Visiting my nan in her new home is wonderful, she is happy and always busy. We absolutely love seeing your updates on Facebook too. It really makes me feel happy that we made the right decision to move her into Ashcroft. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to these wonderful vulnerable people.
Ashcroft is lovely. It's really homely and has a great family feeling. Does not feel like living in a care home at all. My husband visits regularly and the staff take me out whenever I ask. The food is nice and I like my room. I have made a couple of friends so I am happy here.
I have lived at Ashcroft for a number of months and have enjoyed my stay. This last couple of weeks I have moved to the independent living services Ashcroft and I am really happy. I am supported to remain independent. Staff help me where needed but it's really nice to make my own hot drinks, do my washing and help with the housework. I go out with family often and the staff go out of their way to make me happy. I am so happy to be living here.
The home is lovely. The staff are really nice and will do anything to help, they always have a smile on their face. We have many themed events where the staff dress up and have fun. The garden is a peaceful place to be and I have made many friends since living at Ashcroft. I would recommend this home to anyone trying to find a care home.
This home is great. Residents always look happy and staff are attentive. Plenty of activities going on in the home. We couldn’t wish for more. The food looks great and all made just to my mum's taste.
The home is lovely and so are the staff. They are so accommodating especially around visits and they make you feel so welcome. My mother has dementia but you can see she is happy living at Ashcroft. This home is a winner in my eyes.
