I have recently moved to Ashcroft and I can say it is really nice. The staff are friendly and will do anything I ask without a problem. The food is lovely and the home is clean and tidy. I would recommend Ashcroft to anyone wanting to move into a home.
I love living here. It is my family. Staff are so kind and generous. They will do anything to help. I have made many friends and we enjoy lots of social events. We celebrate birthdays and enjoy a party even if it's for no reason. I cannot find anything negative to say about the home.
Lockdown has been difficult for everyone but the staff at Ashcroft have been great. They have found many other ways of ensuring we are entertained each day. They have decorated many areas of the home so everything looks lovely. Staff work hard to make us all happy. I wasn't very well when I moved to Ashcroft but the staff took time to care for me and I now feel better than ever. The food is nice and the cakes are brilliant. I recommend Ashcroft to anyone looking for a care home.
The home is fabulous. The management and staff team cannot do enough for my friend who has now lived in the home for over 12 months. Due to COVID, the home are following government guidelines but I have been able to call the home at any time and speak to my friend. It is never too much trouble. The care they provide is exceptional and anyone would be lucky to live there.
Due to Mums previous home closing down, she went to live at Ashcroft. She has only been there one week, and given the difficult times we live in, she has settled so well. The staff have gone the extra mile to make her feel settled. Mum used to read a lot before her stroke four and a half years ago and until she moved to Ashcroft had not picked up a book. It's lovely to see Mum reading again; thank you.
Overall, the Care was good I feel, The staff were pleasant, worked hard and did their best. I noticed that they had broken a catheter bed bag stand and there were some discrepancies in the issuing of Meds from the last Dossette box, but these things are easily done. I do not believe that a barrier cream for avoiding pressure soars was used. These are knit-picking points and are errors I have made myself.
Thank you for taking the time to review Ashcroft and we are pleased that you are likely to recommend our home. We have not been made aware of any issues raised with laundry or medication. We are unable to wash laundry in our resident’s rooms to adhere to infection control guidelines. We would be happy to discuss your concerns at a mutually convenient time.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient.
My mum has been here 5 months and her care has been extremely good. Excellent. All staff from top people downwards are friendly and helpful and very supportive. They look after the residents excellently. I am so glad my mum is in Ashcroft this gives me peace of mind as well knowing she is looked after well.
Ashcroft is a very pleasant care home. The staff are friendly, caring and very supportive of mum's needs. We are kept informed of any serious issues that arise and we are always made welcome by staff when we visit.
I visit my Grandma Mondays/Sundays. She has been there over a year and I have never seen any activities going on. This needs addressing as she is always just in the day room with nothing going on. Staff are always very busy so don't have time to do activities, sit and chat (not that I have witnessed). However, my Gran is always clean and her hair is done etc. Food looks nice and tea/cakes etc look very nice.
Thank you for taking the time to review Ashcroft and we are pleased that you are likely to recommend our home. We encourage all our residents to participate in our wide range of activities that are available in our home, however, we respect their wishes if they do not wish to take part. We will...
Mum is still settling into her new home but we are happy with the care she has and continues to receive at Ashcroft. The staff have always been kind and considerate form her first holiday stay up to the present. They have worked with us, the family, to make Mum's new life as pleasant as possible. No one likes to leave their home but Ashcroft provides a safe place where she can be cared for 24/7 when we are unable to be with her.
Very clean and warm and fed well.
She didn't want to come home but she loves it now and is very happy. Made friends, enjoys the company, enjoys the entertainment and days out.
The staff are very kind and friendly. Mum is well looked after and feels very safe.
My brother has been a resident for three years. He was born profoundly deaf and the care staff have been very patient in learning to communicate with him. He is very happy at Ashcroft and is encouraged to visit his friends at the local deaf centre each week. He enjoys his food very much and also enjoys being able to sit outside and have a smoke. We live 200 miles away so cannot visit too often, but feel confident he is being well cared for and all his needs met.
I take my Mum to visit her sister every week. The reception staff have been extremely welcoming. If I have spoken to the staff they have always been very friendly and courteous. My Aunt is in a safe environment and I take great comfort knowing that she is safe and well looked after.
During September my mother's health was deteriorating following an infection and it became obvious that she was not going to recover. The staff who cared for her, especially during the final fortnight of her life were very kind and caring, both to her and her family. She was treated with dignity, respect and a great deal of compassion. When the time came for her passing we couldn't have been treated better by the staff on duty who were so considerate and caring. Well done everyone.
My mother received good care at Ashcroft for the duration of her 5 month stay in the home earlier this year. Her needs changed throughout her stay but despite this, care staff were helpful, supportive and flexible to try to give her the care she needed. Some of the staff were excellent. My mum presented different challenges, was mentally aware and had full capacity, but had deteriorating mobility and as such she needed more personal attention, care and conversation. This may have been beyond the normal remit but staff were willing to help and provide necessary care.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for staff or management and their support and care, not only for my dad, but also to me will never be forgotten. They are all amazing.
The home itself is excellent. Recently redecorated to high standard inside with a small garden area outside. The staff are all very caring to residents. The dealings I have had with the management team I have found them to be professional and very helpful. A very nice care home.
