My mother was moved into Cottingley Hall from hospital for palliative care. She was none verbal, eating & drinking barely anything and was sleeping unto 20 hours a day. Since arriving at Cottingley Hall she is now completely verbal, eating 3 meals a day & has gone from being given just a couple of weeks left to live to being happy & settled. I cannot thank the staff enough for how my mother has turned around & the care she is now getting.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear about the positive difference in your mother's wellbeing and comfort since coming to Cottingley Hall. Providing compassionate, person-centred care is at the heart of what we do, and your kind words mean a great deal to the whole team. Thank you for your support.
I enjoyed my holiday with you. It was lovely to be looked after. The biggest decision was what to choose from the menu!
Thank you for your feedback. It is great to know you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you again for choosing Cottingley Hall.
Aunty has settled into the home nicely after being there almost a year. She is well cared for and enjoys the activities. The carers / nurses are always available to help and assist with any needs. All staff are very helpful and caring. I feel happy that she's in the best place for her and I don't have to worry about her being on her own at home.
Thank you for your kind words. It is great to hear how well your aunt has settled in with us. We're delighted that your loved one finds the activities to be enjoyable- we believe staying active and connected makes a real difference to wellbeing. We're committed to making every day as positive and comfortable as possible for your loved one.
Staff are attentive and pleasant. I haven't come across anyone I don't like. rooms are kept very clean.
They attend to me whenever I need them. e.g. applying creams.
I have meaningful and engaging conversations with the activity coordinators.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you find our staff to be attentive and pleasant. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review.
This nursing home is truly a wonderful place and genuinely cares about the residents. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, and it shows in the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

She is in an environment that is stimulating, healthily and well maintained and equipped now and we look forward to working with the home to support my mother and give her a quality of life that will have her feeling its a home from home.
Thank you from the whole family.

Dad is into his second day at Cottingley Hall and we feel he is in very good hands. The staff have been very attentive not just to Dads needs but to our needs too. Everyone we have met has a friendly attitude and nothing is too much trouble. We believe he is in the right place for the time he has left and we thank the staff for giving us the comfort that he is in the right place.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We hope Cottingley Hall care home did everything to make the transition as easy as possible. Providing peace of mind for families is one of our top priorities, so your words mean a lot. We're committed to continuing to support you and your family in every way we can.
Service in all areas was good to excellent. It is imperative that users realise the pressures from governmental policies, diversity of employees, difference in pay rates create huge challenges for management in drawing up rotas, trying to create teams. Until a person stays in a care home nobody can understand the constraints placed on the management. A strength at Cottingley Hall is that many staff live locally. Integration is good within teams although balancing backgrounds and skills is a difficult task. More detailed guidance re helping respite patients would enhance the experience.
Thank you for your feedback. We are proud to have such a compassionate team and we're glad this has shone though in your experience. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
Our Mum/Sister went to Cottingley Hall for palliative care in the last few weeks of her life. She came from Nottingham to be near her children.. The Administrative staff were extremely helpful in helping to facilitate this move. Once there, Hazel settled immediately, which was entirely due to the staff. The were caring, friendly and had a humour that enabled Hazel to feel at home, she was only 70 and had cancer so the whole experience was frightening, but they made her feel so comfortable and at home. She was unable to join in activities or mealtimes but often when we visited, staff were in her room chatting to her. On 2 occasions family stayed overnight and the staff couldnt do enough for us. The care she received was excellent. The environment is lovely and doesn't feel like a care home. As a family, we want to thank you all for the care Hazel, and ourselves, received in those last few weeks. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are pleased to hear how the team at Cottingley Hall went above and beyond to make your loved one's stay as comfortable as possible. We are saddened to hear about your loss. It was a pleasure to welcome your loved one into our Cottingley Hall family. I will certainly pass on your lovely comments to the home manager.
Fed and entertained as on offer.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear from residents feeling like they are cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
I have been visiting a friend at Cottingley Hall since 2017, every time the reception staff and nurses and carers (and caterers) have been extremely pleasant and helpful, taking my friend (while they were in a wheelchair) into a quiet corner of the hall, so we could chat privately. Now my friend is bedbound, so I visit the bedroom. Yesterday, two carers came in when they heard talking, to ensure the visitor was a known person to the person in their care.
Thank you for your kind words. It is so wonderful to hear that you have had such positive experiences during your visits to Cottingley Hall Care Home. It is always lovely to hear words like "Pleasant" and "Helpful" being used to describe our staff. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Absolute brilliant care home my mum went in for respite and was treated magnificently. All the staff, from carers to the chefs and cleaners, all had time for my mum. They always had a smile on their faces and took time out just to have a word with you. The meals were great, something different every day. I cannot thank them enough.

Meet the Team (11)
I’m a Registered Home Manager and have worked in care since 2016. I previously worked as a Clinical Deputy Manager, which gave me a strong foundation in leadership, compliance, and delivering high-quality care. With a clinical background as a nurse, I’ve naturally progressed within the care home sector, building experience across resident care, safeguarding, and medication management. This journey has shaped my passion for leading teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
What I enjoy most about working in care is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives every day. Supporting residents to live with dignity and comfort is incredibly rewarding, and I value the strong relationships built with residents, families, and colleagues.
Outside of work, I’m very family-oriented and have two young daughters, which has strengthened my empathy and patience. I enjoy spending time outdoors, focusing on well-being, and continuing my personal and professional development.
I’m a Senior Care Assistant and have worked in care for 32 years, joining Bupa in 2017. I’ve held several roles within the home, including housekeeping and activities, and completed my Level 3 apprenticeship with Bupa.
I enjoy mentoring staff and supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting high standards of care. I live locally with my husband and children, and in my spare time I enjoy socialising, playing snooker and darts, and spending time with family and friends.

I enjoy communicating with residents and delivering high-quality care. I live in Keighley with my husband and three children.
I’ve worked in care for 33 years. Earlier in my career, I supported new team members as a Senior Care Assistant, helping them settle into their roles. I originally worked with children before moving into care, where I found my passion for supporting others.
What I love most about my role is helping residents feel happy and cared for. Outside of work, I enjoy walking and spending time with my family - I have eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. I also live just 10 minutes away from home, which makes me very much part of the local community.
I’ve worked at Cottingley Hall for three years, spending two years as a Care Assistant after starting as a hostess. I was introduced to the role through a family friend and quickly developed a strong interest in working in care.
I really enjoy talking to residents, hearing their life stories, and supporting them day to day - especially seeing them smile.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. I was born in Poland and moved to the UK when I was four.
I’ve worked in care for six years and spent a year working as a hostess, alongside supporting in a chef role.
Before moving into care, I worked in a school and then as a stay-at-home mum, which inspired me to become a caregiver. I find working in care very rewarding.
I live locally and enjoy hiking and camping in my spare time. I also have four children whom I love spending time with.
I’m the Head of Activities at Cottingley Hall and have been in this role for three years, with seven years at Bupa in total. I’ve also worked as a Care Assistant, Housekeeper, and Kitchen Assistant/Hostess.
Before moving into care, I worked with children. I love hearing residents’ stories and helping to fulfil their wishes. I live locally and enjoy reading in my spare time.
I’m the Chef Manager at Cottingley Hall and have been in this role for over two years. Before joining Bupa, I worked as a Catering Manager for Bradford Council schools for 10 years.
I enjoy creating enjoyable meals for both residents and staff. I’m a mum to three grown-up sons and love gardening, cooking, decorating, reading, and spending time with my three cats.
I’m the Second Chef at Cottingley Hall and have been here for a year. I’m a self-taught chef with a particular passion for baking. I love seeing residents enjoy the meals I prepare.
At home, I have three children, one of whom is at university, and I recently got married. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, walking the dog, and playing snooker.
I’ve worked at Cottingley Hall for 14 years and currently support the home as a Maintenance Operative. During my time here, I’ve also worked as a Care Assistant and in housekeeping, as well as supporting different departments.
I enjoy helping people and solving problems, and I get a real sense of satisfaction from supporting both residents and staff.
I live locally and like to unwind by watching films in my spare time.
I’ve been with Bupa for 13 years and have worked as a Laundry Supervisor for the past five years. Before this, I’ve held a variety of roles including Care Assistant, Kitchen Assistant and Activities Assistant.
My journey started on nights, where I also achieved my NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. I enjoy making sure residents feel safe, comfortable and happy.
