Steeton Court is a family-owned nursing home, situated in a peaceful leafy residential suburb of Steeton, near Silsden, Sutton In Craven, Cross Hills, Addingham and Keighley.

The highly trained team offer permanent Nursing, Residential and Dementia care, as well as palliative care and respite options for residents. Steeton Court is a truly wonderful place, combining a traditional local stone-built style with the modern convenience and facilities of a purpose-built nursing home.

Excellent care is provided to up to 63 residents, offering a smaller home experience. The home is surrounded by beautiful gardens with trees and wildlife.

All the home's bedrooms have en-suite facilities and fitted furniture. There are many lounges and dining rooms throughout the home where residents enjoy taking part in activities, relaxing or socialising.

My husband came to the nursing home in March 2021, after a five-month stay in hospital with wide-ranging nursing needs. The home followed the hospital's plans very carefully, and he soon settled in. The carers and nurses were kind, caring and understanding, and he soon felt at home, as did I during
my visits. Such a friendly, welcoming place I would recommend to anyone.

My dad was admitted to Steeton Court from the hospital in November 2020 with terminal cancer and Covid. He was given a few weeks to live.
He surprised us all by lasting an additional year. That extra year gave him the opportunity to say goodbye to his loved ones.
I want to thank all the staff of Steeton
Court. Without exception, they all treated him with compassion, dignity and respect, to the point where my father said that the staff were like family.
The nursing home itself is spotlessly clean, well managed, and the food is excellent.
Because my father was so ill, he was unable to enjoy the activities, however, I do know that there were many activities open to him.
One of the nicest aspects of Steeton Court was the way that they kept the families involved. A lot of communication was sent to the families, and the monthly activities calendar is great - it was much appreciated, and it made us feel more involved.
I would highly recommend Steeton Court.

Mum has only been in Steeton Court for 6 weeks. She came out of hospital with many health issues. The staff have been very supportive of Mum's needs and the nursing staff do a great job to calm Mum's fears over the equipment they have to use for her.

Recently moved Mum to Steeton Court as her needs were not being met in residential care. Felt very anxious about the move, but the manager and her team could not have been more helpful and supportive. Mum has been there since August 2021, and as a family, we feel reassured and confident that Mum is

This care home provides exemplary care!
Residents are treated with respect, and their dignity is maintained at all times. Whilst they are able to enjoy the leisure facilities provided by the home, there is entertainment and a variety of activities. When they need more care and nursing, they are always
kept scrupulously clean, comfortable and tenderly cared for in their own pleasantly furnished room. I have nothing but praise, admiration and gratitude for the high standard of care my aunt received, and I know that her time spent at the home was as happy and enjoyable as anyone could wish. Steeton Court is a comfortable, beautify presented, safe and caring environment. The manager and all the staff are professional, approachable and very friendly. Lots of smiles, laughter and real affection are making my mum’s life at Steeton Court a really positive experience.


Mum’s room is a good

size, and is nicely decorated; we were encouraged to make it a familiar, comfortable personal space, lots of photos on the walls. Mum’s personal possessions and ornaments and some of her own furniture. The resident lounges and dining rooms are light, attractive spaces with beautiful views over the gardens and woodland.


The approach is completely resident centred. There’s plenty going on, and detailed care plans are developed in discussion with relatives. I can’t thank everyone at Steeton Court enough for keeping Mum safe and well and giving our family complete peace of mind.

My mother came to Steeton Court for end of life care after suffering a bad fall and advanced dementia.
That was three months ago. Thanks to the dedicated nursing staff and the superb care she has received from everybody who works there, not only is she alive and well, but enjoying a quality of life
we never thought possible. Everything at this home is about the residents, meeting their needs with efficiency, compassion, good humour and lots of love. Nothing is too much trouble, I will never be able to thank them all for everything they have, and continue to do for us.

Mum has been in Steeton Court for approximately two months and has settled in well. Management facilitated a smooth transition from a local rehabilitation centre. We were given a detailed description of all aspects of care that Mum would receive, eg her 'new' general practitioner, meals, daily activities
etc. Steeton Court has provided a 'visitors pod', which has proved invaluable during this pandemic!

My father in law is happy in Steeton Court, his needs are taken care of with love from staff quite often going the extra mile to keep him entertained during this time of no visitors. I cannot begin to explain how amazing this nursing home is. The staff are extremely polite, so caring and helpful. The overall hygiene and cleanliness are of a very high standard. Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

I started my career as a staff nurse for the NHS and went on to work in varied nursing roles from immunising children to elderly care. In recent years I moved into the care sector where I have worked as a nurse, clinical Deputy Manager and Home Manager. I am passionate about good quality care for our residents leading with care and compassion.


Before becoming Home Manager at Steeton Court, in my first six months at Spellman Care, I worked across all four homes as a Quality Assurance Officer to ensure we were compliant, safe, and providing quality care.


I love meeting with the residents in our care getting to know them as individuals and seeing what we can do to make their lives the best they can be.


In my spare time, I love to hike and can be found up many of the famous peaks in the country! I have two young boys who also keep me busy and I like to go out for days with them.

Hi, my name is Samantha, I am the Deputy Manager at Steeton Court.


I joined Spellman Care in 2021. I obtained my BSc Hons in Adult Nursing at Ulster University in 2011 as a mature student. My career in nursing has focused on Elderly Care, especially Palliative Care.


I enjoy working at Steeton Court, we have a great team throughout the home, and I love seeing residents smile and enjoy their time with us, it is very rewarding knowing that we as a team make a difference to our residents.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, playing hockey and visiting places of interest (and no not the pub)! I have been camping all over the UK, Ireland and parts of Europe.

My name is Craig McCarthy. I'm the Head Chef here at Steeton Court Nursing Home. I studied at Cambridge College, achieving a Level 2 NVQ in Professional Cookery and a Level 3 NVQ in Management. I have over 13 years of experience in Care Home catering.


I love to see residents enjoying their meals, and am proud to improve their nutritional balance.


In my spare time, I love spending time with my 3 daughters and exploring the local countryside on my motorbike.

I joined the team at Steeton Court in early 2025 and quickly built strong relationships with the staff, residents and relatives.


I consider myself a friendly and approachable person whose confidence can encourage residents to join in and express themselves in activities.


My role as Activities Coordinator focuses on helping residents to access activities throughout the home, either in groups or to take part in an activity on a one-to-one basis. I always treat everyone with dignity and respect and as equals. I feel a sense of reward and achievement after seeing the residents smile. It's nice to see their faces light up as I offer something new and exciting that they can take part in.


My hobbies include skiing and snowboarding, and I really enjoy socialising with my friends and family on the weekend too.
