My mum has been here 4 years and I have to say she has been very happy and well cared for, the staff go that extra mile to make sure she is comfortable, this last couple of weeks my mum has declined quite a lot and everyone at the care home have been very supportive of my mum and I , some even going that extra extra mile with us , I will always be grateful for making not just mums but my experience pleasant, knowing I can go to work and not be worried because all staff really do care.

This care home is brilliant. My wife has settled in nicely and is quite happy here. The staff and management are all incredibly nice, and nothing is too much trouble for them. If ever I have to go into a care home, Earls Lodge would be the one for me.

Following a series of accidents at home last September and hospital treatment, Dad was admitted to Earls Lodge for a period of assessment. This was a difficult time, made more comfortable by an expert team. Dad was treated with utmost respect and kindness by people who understood that this was a time of great change for him. The level of care and kindness is overwhelming and was extended to us also. At first, we found his room to be stark, but since his permanent residence was confirmed, we have been encouraged to bring in some of his own furniture, and this has improved his surroundings.

My Dad has now been a Permanent Resident at Earls Lodge for just over a year.
I find the Staff very friendly, attentive and very caring. They treat the Residents with respect and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble.
My Dad is very safe, he's well fed, and very well looked after which is a comfort to both myself and my sister.
From a family members point of view, I take the lead when it comes to Dad and his care needs. I feel very well informed about all aspects of his care, and I'm kept updated with any issues that might arise on a day to day basis.
I wouldn't want my Dad to be anywhere else.

These people are genuinely very caring and show lots of love and affection. Not just the Carers, but the Managers, House Keeping, Kitchen Staff and the lovely Administrator. What a lovely team at Earls Lodge.

Mum has been in Earls lodge since the beginning of the year. She went in as she was falling and quite unwell. She was 6 stones when she arrived she now weighs over 7.5 stone. The staff are incredible and she enjoys baths, pamper sessions, sing-a-longs, bingo the list is endless. I cannot fault her care at Earls Lodge and she is the happiest I have seen her in a long time. She won't stop talking about the recent trip to Bridlington!!! I cannot thank the staff enough, and I can now relax knowing she is in excellent hands.

I came to Earls Lodge for respite care and in the time I was there I felt very lucky to be looked after by all of the lovely staff. The care I received is like nothing I'd ever have imagined. The staff took care of all my needs and even curled my hair. I arrived at the home looking unkept and I am leaving looking and feeling like Marilyn Monroe. I would recommend this home always to people. I'd take the staff home if I could.

From mum being admitted into Earls Lodge the staff and carers have been so loving and caring towards her. She has formed close bonds with the carers who came to feed, bathe and just be with her. On mum leaving Earls Lodge Care Home to go home the carers and staff were queuing up to give her a squeeze - mum has thoroughly enjoyed her time here, she was so grateful for everyone showing her love. Thank you so much from all her family.

I cannot speak highly enough about Earls Lodge. Due to both my parents becoming ill for different reasons, they both resided at Earls Lodge and the staff showed them care and dignity throughout. Mum passed away from dementia after a short illness and I was fortunate that she was able to return to Earls Lodge for her final days where I knew she was safe and loved. Dad remained in the home and despite being blind and only feeling comfortable in his room, the staff still would regularly check in on him for a chat and always considered his mental health. Dad passed away on 2 February and again I was blessed enough that the home fought with me and palliative care to return him to the home for his final hours. The staff made such a sad time in our lives into something happy and precious and I'll miss them all so much. For anyone considering Earls Lodge, I cannot recommend this wonderful home enough, because it truly became a beautiful safe home to us all.

My mum really needed some company as she was living alone with early stages of dementia. She isn't the easiest of people to care for as she gets very confused and this affects her mood. The staff here are so good with her helping her to keep busy with a wide range of activities and helping keep things as normal as possible (hair and nails done regularly).

My Grandma has been resident at Earls Lodge for nearly 12 months and we couldn't have asked for better care for her. I was unsure if she'd settle in but she's in the best room for having a nosey and been able to see people walking around. She's not the most sociable but she's finally coming round a bit and getting more involved, that's credit to the staff! Not pushy to get her into the day room (that's not her) but gentle encouragement to partake in things such as baking, which she loved to do at home, has brought her out of her shell a bit. I imagine she's a bit of a bossy boots when we're not around! All the staff are attentive and nothing is too much. She has a great relationship with them and she tells me they regularly pop in for a chat. As a family member, it's nice to be able to have a conversation with staff members when we visit. She is showered regularly and has recently taken to having a bath which she loves but couldn't manage before. Thank you to all the staff at Earls.

Having my sister spending respite for a month in Earls Lodge has encouraged us (as a family) to continue with permanent residency.
The staff are very attentive and caring.
The manager and her assistant are very professional and are approachable in answering any questions, queries or giving advice.
Despite the age of the home, there is an increasing modernisation and modern approach to caring.

It is an ideal size for it to be very homely. I am impressed with the management team who I met.
