Mum has been a resident at Earls Lodge coming up to 2 and a half years. Mum has always been happy here, feels safe and loves the staff. There is always someone cleaning, emptying bins, pushing a drinks trolley and available to speak to. It's home from home for mum, which is what we wanted for her.
The
staff are caring, genuine, empathetic and professional. I don't have a bad word to say. If there are things that need doing they just ask that you tell them, so they can improve or prevent. They are proactive and always looking for and providing entertainment and ways to make the resident's stay pleasurable and interesting.

I am very pleased with Earls Lodge Care Home. My mother has settled in quite well and tells me that the attentiveness of the staff is very good also she mentioned the food is good and plateful and everywhere is very clean. Someone is always mopping floors, emptying bins, cleaning toilets etc. It would
benefit my mother if perhaps she could be moved closer to the lounge/dining room to help encourage her to get out of her room more.

I personally found Earls Lodge staff attentive, and caring, and nothing was too much for them in caring for residents. Not only were the staff good to my dad they also provided me with pastoral care and advice not having previously gained experience in dealing with care homes. They were always there
for my father and, indeed, me. My dad needed some specific help on the occasions I visited. Upon calling for help staff were there virtually instantly to deal with the situation. Parts of the building are in need of decorating but otherwise, it is clean as are the rooms. Sadly I didn't get to see the garden in all its glory because the Home, like others, have suffered from the long drawn out wet winter and wet spring. In conclusion, a good care home with great staff creating a warm welcome for guests and residents alike.

Upon arrival to Earls Lodge for the first time I was pleasantly surprised at the environment, with residents and staff full of smiles, and the care that my sister is receiving is very good. It's a pleasure to go home knowing my sister is well looked after.
Thank you for all your kind service.

My sister has only been in Earls Lodge for 2 weeks. I cannot fault the care and time management have given my sister in such a short period of time. My sister not only looks better but tells me she likes being at Earls Lodge. The staff is polite, helpful, hard-working and always seems happy. Nothing
is too much for them. What an amazing environment to be in.

A really pleasant experience how the staff look after my auntie, there’s always somebody around, staff regularly checking on the residents. It’s nice to see my auntie up and clean on a daily basis. It’s nice to know they can have there own things and comforts in their room to how they want it.

This is the first Christmas my mum has spent in Earls Lodge. The amount of interaction and entertainment provided was fantastic, giving residents and their families a lovely build-up to Christmas and New Year.
Everyone I have met has provided, everything I have asked for and nothing is too much trouble.
The relative meetings are a good idea, in involving families, to suggest any activities or ways we as relatives can volunteer our help.

My mum has been happy and settled at Earls Lodge since moving in two years ago. It is not perfect, but nowhere is. I always judge on not what the problem is but how it is dealt with, and I have always felt comfortable raising any concerns, and it has always been dealt with promptly and professionally.
Overall, an excellent home. The staff really care about the residents and do their utmost to ensure they are happy, comfortable, entertained and cared for. The activities are excellent!

My grandad loves this place. He treats the carers as good friends, and he loves the food. My mum never has to worry about him, knowing he is well cared for and part of the Earls Lodge family. The times that I have visited him, he is well dressed and always smiling.

Since my mum arrived at Earls Court initially for respite and is now permanent, I have been amazed at the care and dedication of all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and I know that my mum is being well looked after and she is very settled and happy. The activities that they provide are engaging
and there is something for everyone. The staff members are all committed to providing the best care possible.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.691)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.691) out of 10 for Earls Lodge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.691 for Earls Lodge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (244 Excellents x 5) + (92 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 343 Ratings = 4.691
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Earls Lodge Care Home is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 registered maximum number of service users is 10.4, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
