My mum spent the last four months of her life here, she was very well looked after, treated with respect and dignity. She said the food was great and enjoyed every meal. The room she was in was very nice and she was really comfortable. All the staff and nurses were very good, I can't speak highly enough of everyone who looked after her.
Victoria House provides a loving, caring, safe and clean environment for residents. The love and care is evident at every visit. Regardless of our timing. Additionally staff are so welcoming to us we feel like family. The room are bright and airy and are in the process of being refreshed. I feel like I can relax knowing my mum is being cared for here.
I am extremely happy with my choice of nursing home for a permanent residence for my husband. The wonderful team of dedicated staff provide a caring compassionate and professional environment for residents with a range of specific needs. My husband feels very much part of a family. Enjoying his own personal space which contains his own possessions. He is very much enjoying the range of stimulating activities and is delighted that he is able to grow vegetables which he is hoping everyone can benefit from. How impressed I am with the changes happening. Residents and famalies views are listened to and many new ideas have already been implemented which will further enhance the lives of our loved ones. He loves it here.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We has a team at Victoria House are dedicated to continue to improve on our standards within the home and are always looking for new initiatives to further provide even better individual personalised care.
The nursing home is set in lovely surroundings, very peaceful. The staff are absolutely wonderful and treat residents with the upmost dignity and respect. I can rest easy knowing my mum is in kind hands, as they are all nice caring and compassionate staff. The home is clean and rooms are spacious and personalised. The food options are very good. All chef are very accomodating to mums needs and what she would like to eat. All and all the home and the staff are absolutely lovely.
Thank you for your lovely comments they are much appreciated who are always looking into ways that we can enhance our resident lives.
Very happy with my wife's care.
Thank you for your review. It is a pleasure to look after your wife
I am so pleased with the care home. The staff are a credit to Victoria House, and I mean all staff right through to gardener, kitchen, laundry, admin, carers, nurses, managers, sorry if I missed anyone out. My mum's been there 4 years now to say I was thinking I was going to loser her the first week. Mums looking really well. All staff went out extra mile at Xmas. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your kind words. We try to look after our residents as if they were family
Over the 3yrs my mother being in this nursing home every question asked at the bottom of this form I can honestly say 100% to say I had never heard of this nursing home it is absolutely outstanding. Any concerns at all they are always on the ball and keep you informed all the way.
Thank you for this wonderful review and as a team we continue to strive to ensure the best care possible.
I have found this home to be of an exceptionally high standard. From first assessing my friend's needs to her coming to live here, the kindness, the care and compassion shown has been second to none. The staff all seem very dedicated to making her life as comfortable and happy as possible. Each time I visit, I witness how residents and staff interact and see genuine care and warmth. My friend is well looked after and safe; this, in turn, helps us to accept that she can no longer be at home with us. Having visited many care facilities, I can say this is by far the best I've ever been in/to.
Thank you so much for this review, this is so much appreciated and will be passed to the whole team who continue to strive for the delivery of best care.
My husband was in from Jan-June 2025. The staff was so lovely, caring. Respectful of my husband and myself and family. I would chose and recommend this home.
Excellent attentive, caring staff all round from cleaners all the way up to senior management. I couldn't praise them enough.
These words are so much appreciated, thank you so much
Through the 2 years my dad was here I have absolutely no complaints at all. The staff cared for my dad like his own family and despite his complex needs they spent time to help him be the best version of himself and and made him smile again. The dietary, nursing and care needs were all met and dad was clean and well groomed at all times. His room was lovely and was a home from home.
Thank you for the lovely comments very much appreciated by the whole team.
My husband was in Victoria House Care Home Ryhill till he passed away, I couldn't have wished for him to be in a better care home, the staff and management were wonderful not only with my husband but treated me too good as well.
Thank you for your kind words and expressing such appreciation.
My aunt and uncle were in Victoria House and they were looked after very well. The family had no complaints at all.
Thank you so much for your kind words it so appreciated
My mum received end of life care here for one week. My family visited daily and was always greeted with smiles and offers of tea. The staff were always friendly, helpful and caring. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion. Her room was clean, airy and so much quieter than hospital. She has a big bed with cosy throws and seemed peaceful. When she passed away we felt we had been lucky to have found such a wonderful place to end her days.
Our team strive to ensure best care and hope you found solace that we genuinely cared, thank you for your very kind words.
Incredible staff, kind, loving, caring, a personal touch, they offer something money can't buy. Would recommend to anyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words, our aim is to work as a team and ensure best care always. Very much appreciated, again thank you so much.
My wife has lived in the Home for nearly three years. Her care is provided in a very kind, loving, patient and compassionate way. The Home communicates regularly with me if there are any issues and all staff working these are very friendly making me hot drinks when I visit and chatting to me about any aspects of her care. The environment is very caring with good continuity of staff and high standards maintained by the Manager. I am reassured by the clinical knowledge of the registered nursing staff and my wife benefits from being part of the local Hospital 'virtual ward' concept having access to Consultants. I have recently moved my sister in law into the home and she is now benefitting from the loving care provided. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff for everything you do for my relatives.
Thank you for the appreciation and the very kind words, Victoria House will continue to strive to deliver best care and with residents and their families at the heart of all we try to acheive.
A big thank you to all the staff what a difference you made.
Thank you for your kind words, this is much appreciated and I will relay to all staff who work tirelessly and are committed to delivering the best care.
A care home full of experience, love and compassion their total focus being on the physical and emotional needs of every single resident. The patience and dedication of every single member of staff will never be forgotten by our family and the love shown to not only us, but my lovely mum. Thank you for everything you did for her and for us.
The caring and nursing they are giving Mum is outstanding and always keep you informed of things.
So thank you so much for all you are doing with my mum, we can't thank you enough.
Very friendly and welcoming staff who have so much time for you. They all show care and compassion to the job they are doing and they look after the residents/service users like they are family. The home had a lovely welcoming feel to it and felt more than happy that my friend was being very well looked after and cared for. Thank you so much to all the staff who went out of their way to look after the guests and visitors while tending to the care and needs of the residents/service users. It makes the hard times so much more acceptable.
