During my father's short stay at this home, I have found the staff to be caring, attentive, sympathetic and helpful.
Everyone I have dealt with has acted in a very professional way.

We as a family have been full of praise for the home I personally would have no hesitation in recommending the care home. Many thanks.

My father spent the last week of his life in Warde Aldam Nursing Home. The management, carers and nursing staff were absolutely brilliant and help myself and all our family through a very difficult time. The home itself is like a 5-star hotel.

Dad has been receiving excellent care over the last twelve months in Warde Aldam. Although his condition has caused a deterioration in his health over this period, the staff have been amazing and adjusted the level of care to meet his changing needs. All the staff are kind, caring, helpful, pleasant and treat him with the dignity and respect he deserves. This extends to the rest of his family, towards whom they have been friendly and welcoming at all times.

Any concerns we have had about Dad have been quickly dealt with by the management who are always very approachable and compassionate. As a family we are all very grateful for the peace of mind this has given us at a very difficult time, knowing that Dad is in very safe hands. Activities are laid on at regular intervals, such as karaoke, and dancing. There is an excellent garden and outdoor provision for residents and their families to use. The home is clean and well maintained. The food is home cooked and plentiful.

This is very encouraging to read, many thanks for your comments. This is an excellent example of where a holistic approach of family, staff and multiagency workers collectively have a strategy for successful outcomes.

To build up such a relationship with everyone is like having a second family. Nothing is too much trouble, always there if there are any problems which you need to discuss.
Everything about the care home as a very good welcome when you arrive, which is so important.

Well done everyone and a big thank you.

The whole of the team at the home have consistently demonstrated the utmost care, respect, dignity and love for my Mum who, sadly, passed away having spent the last 5 months in the home. The room was large, bright, cheerful and well appointed, whilst cleanliness was great. Food was plentiful and nutritional and met my Mum's specific needs, whilst drinks were always being brought to her. But of most importance was the care and my Mum was checked every hour to ensure her well-being and safety, both day and night.

My mother has been staying here seven years and the care she has received has been excellent. On the 21st April I received a call to say my mother had suffered a stroke and by the quick action of the staff an ambulance was called and my mother was admitted to hospital in time for the medication to be able to be administered to reduce the effects of the stroke. Within a few hours, she responded well to the treatment.
The consultant at the hospital said he couldn't praise the staff at Warde Aldam enough for getting my mother to a hospital so quickly and recognising she had a stroke.
Without their prompt response, my mother would not have recovered so quickly.
My mother returned to Warde Aldam on Tuesday 24th April and wept for joy at seeing the staff again.

She is now happy to be home again.

The home is clean and smart inside and out. The staff are very friendly and caring to both residents and visitors. Both me and my dad have been made to feel very welcome.

My dad seems happier in Warde Aldam Christian Nursing Home than he has been for years - that makes me think that the home is fantastic.

Within two weeks of being a resident, mum has had two proper baths, I haven't been able to get her to bathe, shower or wash for around three years. Her appetite hasn't been good for many years and now I'm seeing her eat breakfast, lunches, teas and anything else that's going.

These two things alone are a fantastic result. The nurses and carers are all very interactive with mum and me. I look forward to seeing and spending time with my mum now and I couldn't say that six weeks ago. Very happy and relieved.

My mum was a resident at Warde Aldam Christian Nursing Home for 18months, she had vascular dementia, the care staff are absolutely fabulous, nothing was to much trouble, we spent many hours visiting mum and we were always made welcome, the nursing staff were excellent, mum passed away on the 5th of January this year, in her final hours she was made very comfortable, we stayed for 2 nights, where we met the night staff that you never really get to see, and they were just as nice as the day staff, although you don't want your loved ones to go into care or nursing home I can only say from my own experience that Warde Aldam is wonderful to thank you for looking after my mum

Dad has only been at the home for 2 weeks and we as a family are very happy and couldn't be any happier with everything. Staff are lovely and very very helpful.

I moved my husband into Warde Aldam from Stockingate 3 weeks ago, I only wish he had been there a year ago. He would be awake all night and sleep most of the day, at Warde Aldam, they got him a bed that rises up; and now he sleeps all night and is awake when I visit every day. It is more expensive but worth every penny.

My mother was welcomed as a resident on 24th November to Warde Aldam. As soon as we pulled up outside, a young member of staff (who it seems is the activities coordinator) gave us all the warmest of greetings, but particularly my mother who was addressed by name. Other staff couldn't have been more friendly and understanding. One, in particular, listened very carefully to the care needs of my mother and made her room homely and is really on the ball. When we visited two days later we were given a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

In 2015 my wife's mother was admitted to this care home, and during the time she was there, she received the highest standard of care that we could have wished for. Unfortunately, she was only there for five weeks and sadly she passed away.
I would like to thank every one of the staff for all their kindness shown to us at that sad time.
Now, my mother is residing in the care home. We had no hesitation in making this decision. Having already seen the standard of care first hand, I can honestly say that all the staff are first rate, and they walk the extra mile to make sure that all residents are extremely well cared for.

Any question regarding a resident is answered truthfully and discreetly, and you are made aware of any problem encountered very quickly. I cannot praise the staff enough for all the help they afford us when we visit and believe me this doesn't happen in all care homes !!

My husband has been in the care of Warde Aldam for about 2 years. The carers are very good. The overall standard of the home is good mostly. But I would like more stimulation to take place there isn't enough. My husband likes to go for a walk in the air, but I don't think there is enough staff to take him when I am not there. Need to make this happen.

My sister settled into Ward Aldam as soon as she moved in. She seems very happy there. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Ward Aldam is a very clean place set in countryside. It has a warm homely feel. There are lots of amenities including hairdressing and chiropodist etc. They also have entertainment in the lounges and sing a longs. There are lots of raffles at Christmas, Easter etc. Overall it is the best care home I have ever been in. I am happy because my sister likes living at Ward Aldam and is treated with respect and the dignity she deserves.
