Warde Aldam provides nursing, dementia, palliative and short-stay care for up to 60 residents in a purpose-built home in South Elmsall, near Pontefract.

Several months ago a very dear friend suffered a stroke and was able to secure residency in Warde Aldam Nursing Home as full nursing care is necessary for her 'Health and well being. Through out my weekly visits I have found all the staff to be helpful, friendly and pleasant to everyone. As the remainder
of her life will be spend in Ward Aldam, comfort, happiness and security are of paramount importance.This I feel is provided on a daily basis by the home.

Having recently moving into Warde Aldam nursing unit, my sister is being given a very high level of care. She really likes it and says all the staff are so friendly. As a visitor I find it a really welcoming home and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff acknowledge me and senior care staff are
always on hand to discuss how my sister is doing. All in all I find it a very reassuring atmosphere.

My overall experience of this nursing home is very positive. The staff clearly care very much about the residents as it shows in the way they talk to them, interact with them and respect them. The care that my mum was given at Warde Aldam was excellent. The residents and staff became her family and I'm sure she would have agreed that she couldn't have been in a better place.

Mam went into Warde Aldam on 12/02/2024 and passed away on 08/05/2024.
The care she received was second to none, nothing was a bother to the staff, they were so professional and friendly and didn't have to worry so much. We are so grateful for the dignity that they showed her as before the dementia
she was a very proud woman and they gave her that back. Can't thank the staff enough. Please keep up the great work. Many thanks.

I visited my dear sister on the 31st of May and the 1st and 2nd of June 2024.
I live in Northumberland so stayed with my sister's family. They are very happy with this home and during my visits, I could see why. Friendly, caring and helpful staff. Lovely grounds for the residents to safely walk around.
I feel content to know that my sister is safe and well cared for. I had not rated a couple of options as I had no experience to call on. Thank you.

Mum has been a respite user for the last month. The team at Warde Aldam have treated her with care and respect. They have made all the family very welcome. The room mum has is lovely and has a wonderful view of the gardens. Mum is cared for and her well-being is always considered. I and my dad cannot

Our father was well looked after during his short stay, he had complex medical needs which further affected his dementia, these were met with care, compassion and professionalism. The staff and management were very friendly and always ready to answer any questions or concerns we had. Dad could be very
stubborn at times but the staff were always patient with him. The downside to our experience, wish his room had been a little bigger.

On entering reception, I was greeted with a smile and a warm 'hello'. She knew my name and who I had come to see. I gave her two bunches of flowers to put in the house for everyone to enjoy. She said how nice of me to do that and thanked me very much. I explained how nice the home was, showing much
care and understanding, and unfolding oozed out of this home, making my sister feel loved and wanted, so very important for us to feel this and my sister has thrived in such an unfolding environment. On entering the lounge, the staff seemed pleased to see us, they were busy helping residents with various activities. One of the carers showed us pictures of many activities they had been doing and talked about them with my sister and some of the other residents. Lovely, homely feel.

We chose Warde Aldam after a careful review of 6 homes in the area, and have been nothing but impressed with our choice. His care needs meant he had to move in very quickly, and the home were so helpful and accommodating. Since becoming a resident the staff could not have done more for him or our family,
and have made his last days as comfortable as they could possibly be. As there's only two of us my son and I have spent a lot of time at the home, and the staff here have been so kind in providing us with meals, space to rest and a kind word when needed so that we could focus on spending quality time with him. They were always on hand when we needed advice or an update, and that was true regardless of the time of day or who we asked; from the lady on reception to the overnight team - we cannot speak highly enough of any of them. We are so pleased that we chose Warde Aldam for his care, and would highly recommend their services to those in need of support for the care of their loves ones.

My husband recently passed away at Warde Aldam Nursing Hone. He had the best care any family could wish for. He lived there for just over 3 years. The care from nurses and carers, management, domestic staff, cooks, volunteers, and everyone went above and beyond not just for my husband but for all residents.
I would recommend Warde Aldam Nursing Home to anyone who asks me. the staff are worth their weight in gold. Once again thank you to all the staff at Warde Adam from myself and my family.
