Mum has been in The Haven Unit for 11 months now and we feel she is happy. We are very impressed with the staff all of whom seem to know mum but name and her likes and dislikes. We like the way staff interact with residents and occupy them in simple but effective ways. The building is clean and well furnished with lots of lounge areas. We feel we can raise queries with management and that they deal with them in a quick and effective manner. Westfield Park has proved to have been a good choice.

We put my mother in Westfield Park after she had been in 2 care homes previously and was not treated at all well, in fact neglected. But here at Westfield Park we are delighted with the care and attention. A big relief for the family to know she is in a loving and caring atmosphere. Well done Westfield Park staff for all you do!

Overall Experience

My husband had been in Westfield for occasional days of respite, but when I had to make the decision for him to be residential it was the worst day of my life. I felt so guilty I could no longer care him at home. We had never been apart so would he wonder why I had left him, would he settle and would it cause his depression to return. However I needn't have worried. He has settled in well and seems happy. He is kept clean and cared for. All the staff are very understanding and friendly to all our family and nothing is too much trouble. My husband being severely sighted, activities are limited but we have enjoyed three trips out and I take him out every day in his wheelchair (weather permitting) and its nice to chat to other residents. I know the Parkinson's Dementia will deteriorate but with the care and compassion my husband receives I know it was the right decision for him.

I found my stay very pleasant. My room was beautiful and well equipped and the care offered by the staff was excellent. The lounge is of a high standard and the range of entertainments covered a variety of tastes. I would happily recommend Westfield to friends and acquaintances.

Meet the Team (1)

Frankie Veramu
Frankie VeramuJob Title:Home Manager

I have worked at Care UK for several years, and I have always appreciated the company’s vision and values.

Their desire to help residents continue living fulfilling lives aligns with my own values.

I joined Westfield Park after several years as Home Manager at Dashwood Manor. I am looking forward to being a part of the already great team at Westfield Park and continuing to offer exceptional care together.

Being in a managerial role within the home requires very good listening and communication skills. You also need passion and care for the residents and the team you work with.

Each day I enjoy getting out of my office and onto the units, having the opportunity to interact with residents, relatives and colleagues.

I am excited to continue to get to know all the residents and their wonderful families.
