Excellent care home, friendly staff, my mother-in-law is very happy and wouldn’t want to go home now. She loves it in Clarendon Hall.

Would like to say thank you to all the staff for everything they do above and beyond their job roles.

My mum was only here for a few days prior to her passing.
She was treated with care, dignity and respect during this period by all the staff,

support worker was especially supportive during this time. Myself and family are extremely grateful and would highly recommend this care home.

I would highly recommend Clarendon Hall for the exceptional care given to my auntie recently, and particularly the two staff members who looked after her with dignity and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly, she was very ill, and they stayed with her to the end and were a great comfort to us. We can't thank them enough, and their kindness in going above and beyond was such a huge relief and strength to us at such a sad and difficult time, and we will always be so very grateful.

The staff in Clarendon are excellent. The care they have given my mother over the past four years has been outstanding.
I feel I can always call in to talk to the manager with any queries I may have, and she will always have time to speak to me.
I have recommended the home to other people, and I know one person has used it for their mother and was also very pleased with the care received.

Well done to everyone at Clarendon.

Only resident for three days up to now, but care satisfactory. All carpets and paintwork need updating. Staff friendly and helpful.

Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Clarendon Hall Care Home

Thank you for your recent review. Feedback is how we can ensure kind care is delivered to a high standard. Clarendon Hall is due a refurbishment and is one of the first homes to commence on the planned works programme, but we don’t have a start date at this time. If you would like to speak to the home manager around any concerns you have, she will look into them and answer any questions you have.

Thankful for all the care my mam gets. Had many ups and downs healthwise. Mam, she is loved by everyone and has been in the home for 10 years. The staff are wonderful, happy and caring. I feel also part of the (family) in the home. Sometimes need to sort things for Mam, make sure she's got what she needs, comfy, warm and drinks etc. But on the plus side, very good.

I cannot fault this care home at all, everybody is so caring and they can't do enough for my mam, nothing is too much trouble. My mam has been here 9 months and has absolutely flourished in here, everybody is so caring from the cooks to the carers to the management. 10/10 from me.

Excellent all around! Having spent 5 weeks in hospital my mum was very weak and unable to walk. After a difficult first week settling in she is now responding to the care and support provided. She is eating and drinking much better and starting to walk again with the aid of a frame. Not surprisingly her mood is improving too. Thanks and well done to all concerned!

Overall Experience
Clarendon hall care home is a 5-star experience in every way. Our elderly mother moved in to stay here in mid-November as a long term resident. She was extremely anxious and upset about this upheaval in her life and it had been challenging for us all to make this decision together with her to make a permanent move to the care home.

From the very first day all the staff and carers have gone out of their way to ease her anxiety and to make her, and us, feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble and if she is anxious in the night somebody comes and sits and chats with her until she feels comforted. She is treated with love, respect and dignity. She enjoys the social interaction with other residents, and she feels safe. As a result, her anxiety is decreasing and she has accepted Clarendon Hall as her new home. She loves the food, and the daily meal choices are varied and home cooked. She loves the daily activities, especially the baking and the sing songs. Huge Thank you to all at Clarendon.
