Brooklands is a home where the ethos is one of care and love for all it's residents, by all its staff. The nursing care given to my husband during his final weeks of his life was of loving kindness at all times, not only to him, but to all the family.

My mother and father are in Brooklands Care Home and all the staff are so caring, loving and helpful. It's a comfort knowing my parents are treated so well at this last stage of their lives. They are well fed, kept very clean and well entertained. The home seems to be a very happy place.

The standard of the home is excellent, as is the ethos of the home - one of caring, always caring with the dignity of the patient uppermost.
The friendliness of the permanent staff is excellent.
The food is excellent.

The staff work under so much pressure but somehow remain cheerful.

Very good caring all round, clean. My brother is in the nursing department of the care home. He was given six hours to live six weeks ago in hospital, after being HDU he was transferred to the care home. All staff interact with him, despite needing palliative care, he can now feed himself and is getting out of bed. My only criticism, he could have small activities to stimulate him.

My mum spent the last few weeks of her life in Brooklands Care Home receiving end of life care for cancer. I can't praise the staff highly enough and the environment is exceptionally welcoming and kept meticulously clean. My mum was treated with utmost dignity and visiting family and friends were always made to feel very welcome. I will certainly recommend Brooklands to others should the situation arise.

We looked around virtually every nursing home in the area before making the decision to take Dad to Brooklands. The first priority was to find one where the staff seemed good and the residents happy. At Brooklands, the lady in the office, who was very nice and helpful, and only too willing to show us around the home. She also introduced us to a few other members of staff along the way.

What swung decision was the cleanliness and the total lack of smell. Nearly all the homes smelled of urine, but not Brooklands, everything was fresh and clean. It was also modern, bright and airy. It was November when we first looked around and we were blown away by the impressive display of poppies, which we were told had been made by the residents.

We would rather have kept Dad at home, but as we couldn't I can honestly say that Brooklands was the best choice. All of the staff from the Manager to the cleaners were absolutely brilliant.

From the moment the family looked around the home, the staff could not have been better. The level of care and assistance was second to none and made a very unpleasant experience that bit more bearable. His room was more than adequate and gave him dignity in his final days.

I would recommend the home to anyone else experiencing this and would like to say a huge thank you to the brilliant staff, especially the manager as without them, we would have really struggled. Thank you all.

My father was resident here for 2 weeks end of life care. The management and staff could not have been kinder and more efficient in their care and consideration. Nothing was too much trouble.

I could not have wished for any better treatment of Dad as he came to the end of his life.

I placed my father into Brooklands Care Home for his end of life care. As it happened that was for just short of two weeks. The level of care my father received was excellent all the way up to the end of his life.

In July, the family had to make the difficult decision to place our mother in a nursing home. We visited three locally and our first choice was Brooklands, fortunately, they had a place and were able to take our mother immediately. She was welcomed warmly and since that time we and my mother have nothing but praise for the staff who she continually tells me are very kind.

The staff take the time to pop in and speak to her. She is much improved in both her health and well being which I put down to the care she is being given and as she tells me she now feels safe.

The care given at this care home is excellent and love, dignity and comfort given by all cannot be ignored, as a daughter, these things are important, to trust your loved ones to someone elses care means a lot. This home is well run and clean and comfortable for residents and people visiting, nothing is too much trouble- staff are very friendly. My mother had a lot of help with personal care and her dignity was upheld always, nurses, carers, cleaners, cooks, everyone are the best in this care home.
